I have just connected a Cisco 2600 series router with a rolled over cable one port ( RJ-45 connector) in my console port and serial port in my PC COM1 port. Now when i open tera term and want to type something, the router is showing stange language.

I have just bought Inspiron 15R n5110 which has intel 1030 wifi. At first thought i can troubleshoot the problem with google and some driver update. but couldn't fix at all after hours of knocking doors in internet forums and users shared experience.though i bought outlet unit, i was expecting cosmetic wear and tear, never thought i might have unit unusable. i am completely depended of wifi for my daily activities and cannot go to room mates place for wire connection. is this problem only solved by changing hardware coz i have tried all the possible tips and tricks found in internet forums.
i read somewhere that the hardware will be swapped if contacted dell CS with different model. if this was only option why did dell managed to sell a piece of unit not functional. isn't this a bad practice.

I'm just finished with the wizard of my WRT54GL and follow the instructions in my user's manual I enter in the Web-based Utility of the router but I was surprised when I see that the language is French?! The anyconnect client is deployed by the asa using the webdeploy.my client machine is a windows 7 with regionnal settings set to french (canada).I added the language localization transform files for web deploy (the mst for french) to my asa using the asdm:remote access VPN -> network (client) Access -> anyconnect customization/localization -> Localized Installer Transforms -> add the french mst.
After my dir-655 recently bought the farm, I picked up a NIB 601 at a local computer mall for about $20. The drawback is that "local" for me means that the router is in Chinese.

View 17 Replies View RelatedI've been assinged a task to connect our branch office with the head office, so that the IP Phones in the branch office can be connected to Cisco Call Manager at head office. To accomplish this they have given a Cisco 877 Adsl router a 10 Port 3-COM POE Switch and 3 Cisco 7911 IP Phones. Currently the there are 7 PC's Connected to 3 COM Switch which indeed is connected to a Internet router(Speedtouch). First I thought of connectiong the IP Phones to the Ethernet Port on Cisco 877 router but had to change my mind as the ports are non POE ports and I do not have adapters for IP phones. So I've decided to connect the Phones to 3 COM Switch and create VLAN's (DATA & VOICE) and pass the DATA traffic through Speed Touch and Voice traffic through the Cisco 877 router, but when I tried accessing the 3-COM Switch via Console I am getting Junk language( See the attachment for reference).

The v1.03 firmware file was the same one I previously used, I think. Amazingly, The camera menus are now in French, and I can't find a setting to change it to English.

I currently have a wired router (Cisco RV042), a wireless router (Cisco WRT110), and a switch for my network. I have the RV042 on a 192.168.5.1 subnet, and that is where my server and other local resources are. I wanted to add wireless for guests, but do not want the guests to have access to local resources, so I plugged the wireless router into RV042 and configured it for a 192.168.1.1 subnet. I can get internet access, but when I connect with a laptop to the wireless router, I end up being assigned an IP in the 5.1 subnet. I set up the VLAN setting in the RV042 for the correct port, but for some reason I am still being assigned the wrong IP, and I can hit local resources on the wireless.

The network seems to be a large number of routers all with the same SSID on the same network.Usually my connection is great; but sometimes my computer decides to switch to the router from another flat. A few minutes ago my wireless config utility told me I was connected to the flat 24 router. I am now connection to the flat 26 router. It wouldn't be much of a problem, only it's give or take, around 140 times slower because of how far away it is. Heres a quick comparison of the speeds:ad Connection: (The ping here is very mis-leading, it took several minutes to calculate the ping and several more minutes simply to start the download whereas on the previous test it was instant)Here is one I took in December which shows how bad the ping can get:How do I tell my computer to ignore those other routers with the same SSID? They have different MAC addresses, is there something I can do with that? Windows can't tell the difference, I have to do it through the driver software that came with my Edimax wireless card, it recognises each router seperately but ultimately it always recognises it primarily by it's SSID. Sometimes it sticks to the good one, sometimes it changes every few minutes and I have to manually change it back and it is very frustrating, can't it just ignore the bad connection completely?

I'm using a DSL line that changes IP's. I have the E3200 set to auto, but everytime the IP changes, my internet goes down, and I get an ip of 127.0.0.1 on the status page. I then have to renew the ip and reboot. This happens once a day, usually.

I am trying to set up a VPN between the head office and branch office so the branch office users can connect to our internal server(lets say ip is 192.168.1.2) to receive group policies,access files and also telnet into our database server(lets say ip is 192.168.1.3).I have attached a sort of running config that i have pieced together from bits i have read on this site and others. I have tried these settings and other permutations of these settings but i cant seem to establish a tunnel even though when i show int tunnel0 on the router it says tunnel is up and line protocol is up, if i show ip route it shows that there is an ip address for the tunnel and that is about it(No vpn light on).
If it makes sense and that I have entered the right information? I have highlighted the parts i am not sure about in red(Quite a bit and obviously not the exact settings but what i think it should be). Once all the settings are correct on the cisco will it automatically establish the vpn or do i have to dial it from the draytek.

They are both on one wireless connection (Wireless Network Connection 3). When i try to go on the internet, it says i'm not connected. i tried disconnecting from the unidentified network, but that disconnects me from lower net too.

The dyndns information is all entered correctly and says "connected" in the dyndns configuration. So what is wrong with the adress update from the dir-655 to the dyndns server ?
