We just installed MSE with CAS (7.0.201.204 software) and everything works fine and clients are shown on WCS floor maps except for Cisco 7921 wireless phones which dont appear in the WCS map.

I have configured a cisco UC520 with inbound called coming in on FXO port 0 and have configured it as a co-line. I have 4 phones set up on the system including the wireless 7921 phone, the problem is that if i answer the call on the 7921 it does not give me the option to hold or transfer the call however the other phones do (7931).
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe have a new deployment where we have 5 total 7921G wifi phones connected via 2 AP541n access points, one connected to a ESW520p switch and then to the UC540 and the other connected directly to the UC540. The wifi phones are intermittently giving no audio when calling each other, however, calls to the PSTN consistently do have 2 way audio. Is this a security issue perhaps? We are running the latest CCA software pack as this is a brand new deployment, also the AP's were upgraded to the latest firmware.
View 14 Replies View RelatedWe have some remote H-READ APs at a branch office and a 7921 phone which drops calls/loses audio when roaming between APs.We are just using WPA2 without any 802.1x or CCKM/PKC.
Do we absolutely have to set up a radius server/8021.x/EAP to enable fast roaming?We had 2 AP's autonomous with WPA2 before and roaming didn't seem to be an issue. We now have 4 APs over WLC in the same office and the phone calls are very unstable.
I just recieved new 7921 phones. I cannot get them to pick up a dhcp address
I keep getting DHCP "Timeout's" and " Configuring IP" . The ould 7921's and the new 7925's work just fine. I have tried removing and reconfiguring the WLAN and Interface on the Controllers. I even removed and reconfigured the DHCP scope in Infoblox.
We have two different entities we support and both are set up as autonomouse wireless groups. The SSID is the same though so they can use their 7921's between floors and buildings. The problem we have had is that the phones on the first floor were getting the IP's of the organization on the second floor. When you view the AP's on the phone the ap directly next to it on the first floor (the one its suppose to talk to) is listed first, The strange thing is that shows it is connected to the right AP (the first floor one). The AP on the second floor is also listed but its about third down. After the phone sits it will actually change IP's but not all of them. Their were a few phones that took about a half a day to get the correct IP.
My question is how do these phones grab their ip's? I know how DHCP works but I am needing to know specifically how the radio works on the 7921's. What is the boot up process? It appears that it must cycle through each channel starting with the highest and loop through a process in descending order: compare ssid's and then authenticate if possible. I am assuming it is seeing the second floor first because initially they all get the second floor ip. The second floor is on channel 60 and the one it should connect to is on channel 36 (We are using 802.11a). That's how I came up with my descending channel theory.
One of my 7921 phones disconnect ten time an hour and during conversations. Sometimes, people who call on this phone are redirected to the answer message.This phone is connected through WIFI network and Cisco Callmanager 4.2 manage all phones (we have about 80 phones on the network). I thought it was a problem with the phone but I exchange with another one and it's exactely the same problem. The problem is just for a line in particular. All the 7921g phones in my company are configured from mac address in the call manager. This problem occured after a storm but I'm not really sure that it's related to.
View 2 Replies View Relatedmy computer is a dell dimension 1100, with a Linksys WMP54G wifi card, running vista home basic.In the wifi thing in the notification area, it shows two wireless networks, One is my normal SSID (Lower Net), and one is "Unidentified network". They are both on one wireless connection (Wireless Network Connection 3). When i try to go on the internet, it says i'm not connected. i tried disconnecting from the unidentified network, but that disconnects me from lower net too.

Will be getting a Verizon wireless phone system that has 2 RJ-11 interface jacks so I can connect my current landline phones to the wireless system. Is there some way that I will be able to use my PC fax with this Verizon system? The Verizon salesman wasn't sure but didn't think so.

It's over 130 feet to the shop so my house router won't reach. when I built my shop I put an extra pipe in to pull phone line in but now I'm wondering if i can just pull in a cat 5 and get both data & phone.

View 2 Replies View Relatedhave configured Cisco IPPhone 7925G with EAP-TLS setting. (With manufacture installed and Userinstalled certificate). My issue is while roaming from 1 AccessPoint to another AccessPoint the call getting droped. I need to restart the IPPhone to reauthentiate again. In ACS am agging the authentication time-out error. (I had changed the time out value for EAP-TLS to 20 in WLC as per recommendation.)
If am using static web key there is no issue in roaming.
What is the reommended setting inorder for the EAP-TLS to work properly.
I've just installed windows xp pro sp 3 on my laptop and am going through installing the drivers for the problem devices. I've got everything installed minus the drivers for the sound card. I'm trying to connect to my wireless network and am not having much luck. I know the network is available because i'm on it right now sending this message. However with this new installation everytime i refresh i'm getting the "No wireless networks were found in range" message. I'm also not getting any yellow question marks in the device manager window for this device. I know the card works because it worked just fine with ubuntu before i wiped the hdd and installed xp ....

Last night I went trolling around for a solution to an ip address conflict message I receive when I try to go onto Xbox live via a network bridge on my laptop. What I eventually ended up doing was going into my tp-link wireless router settings (not sure of the exact model number as I am not home right now) and reserving two different ip addresses for my laptop and my Xbox using their MAC addresses. It didn't appear to do anything ( now I think possibly because my Xbox needs the same ip as my laptop?). Anyways I tried to go onto Xbox live and it worked at the start (as it always does) and then 30 minutes in, the ip address conflict message came up (usually meaning a disconnect from Xbox live is imminent). But I actually ended up staying online for another 3 hours until the Internet crashed.
Upon further investigation I noticed that my wireless network was not even showing up on my computer, my phone, or any of my roommates computers. I went upstairs to check the wireless router and it was seemingly working correctly (i.e. no flashing lights or anything). Not quite sure what to do. I would go back and change the router settings but I don't think I can without a connection to it.
I have a wireless PC laptop and a router that works fine. When I change rooms, there's competition from my neighbor's router and I want to remove it. When I "view wireless networks" I see their connection. When I go to "change the order of preferred networks" (hoping to delete it from there) it doesn't show up. If I go to "change advanced settings" I end up in the same place not showing the neighbor's wireless.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWindows XP on an older Dell Latitude. All wireless settings appear to be on, yet "no wireless networks are found in range" All other devices in the house see the same 3 networks (mine, mifi, and next door), so this is specific to this machine.
Also, I normally keep this laptop docked, 95% of the time, and earlier in the week disabled the wireless (right click on icon, disable) as I normally do when connected to the dock, since it seems to perform faster (no testing, just my opinion)
Other factors: The computer got undocked without normal undock procedure taking place.
Don't know if this is related, but the sound wasn't working either the last few days I have redocked, rebooted, restarted, checked every possible config I can think of, checked the router to be sure that my device was still listed, etc.
I have a desktop with windows Xp and I too have no wireless networks come up in the box on the right hand side, I know the wireless Linsky cisco wifi is working as I have connected it to another laptop with Vista, but have tried everything to get it wireless and nothing works the Desktop works fine when hard wired?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI had a wireless network set up between my Dell D630 and a Del XPS M1210 with IS and worked fine. Then we sold the XPS and got a E4300. I set up a wireless network on it with IS and it also worked fine. Both laptops running XP. The E4300 has SP3 and the D630 was set up with SP2 but I upgraded to SP3. The network was difficult to connect at times so I had to bypass the firewall to connect. Once connected, IS worked fineHowever, latetly it refused wireless connection even though the connection was visible. I have now tried to set up a new wireless between the 2 but it doesn't even show when I refresh the wireless connections in range.

I have a Cisco 2106 WLC, and a 1131ag Access Point. The 802.11a/g Radio "Operational Status" = DOWN. All other Radios are UP. I'm wondering if this is normal behavior as no clients are connecting to it over the 802.11a/g Radio.
