I've got a problem with my phone line which is preventing me from connecting to the internet. In my house we have a phone line (Provided by Telstra) and Internet (provided by TPG)Recently at 7 at night all of a sudden our internet dropped out. I did some checking around and look at my modem and the DSL light refuses to light up.I disconnect the phone and modem separator and plug the modem in directly to the phone line. Still no DSL connection. When i connect the phone directly to the phone line (and when it goes through the seperator) it still works, but i hear strong grainy static through the phone.
I have been experiencing drops in my wired internet connection and a google search brought me to your forums. It seems to disconnect more often either during a call on my voip phone (a snom) or shortly after - as if a surge of usage makes it drop out?
Currently using PC fax/modem card with landline phone cord to send/receive faxes. I live in a very rural area that has really crappy landlines for my phones. Will be getting a Verizon wireless phone system that has 2 RJ-11 interface jacks so I can connect my current landline phones to the wireless system. Is there some way that I will be able to use my PC fax with this Verizon system? The Verizon salesman wasn't sure but didn't think so.
I have a DSL wireless router in my house, I would also like to have wireless in my workshop. It's over 130 feet to the shop so my house router won't reach. when I built my shop I put an extra pipe in to pull phone line in but now I'm wondering if i can just pull in a cat 5 and get both data & phone.
I have a simple question and i am new to wireless networking.. I recently bought a wireless router to share my internet connection with my mobile phone ( Sony Ericsson Neo V).. My PC doesn't has a Wifi adapter so I have connected router to pc via a network cable.. Now I want to send my files to mobile phone and can i do that through my router? or should i buy a wifi adapter to pc and directly connect to phone?
We just installed MSE with CAS (7.0.201.204 software) and everything works fine and clients are shown on WCS floor maps except for Cisco 7921 wireless phones which dont appear in the WCS map.
have configured Cisco IPPhone 7925G with EAP-TLS setting. (With manufacture installed and Userinstalled certificate). My issue is while roaming from 1 AccessPoint to another AccessPoint the call getting droped. I need to restart the IPPhone to reauthentiate again. In ACS am agging the authentication time-out error. (I had changed the time out value for EAP-TLS to 20 in WLC as per recommendation.)
If am using static web key there is no issue in roaming.
What is the reommended setting inorder for the EAP-TLS to work properly.
I have a wired IP phone connected to my company network, in my home office. How can I convert this to wireless so I may use other rooms in the house to work in?
Hanging up our cordless phones briefly interrupts our wireless connection. Just long enough to be disconnected from online games. We are using DECT 6.0 Vtech phones (definitely not 2.4 ghz phones)We have verizon FIOS internet (not DSL)I've tried changing channels in the modem with no success.
I'm looking for a wireless handset that is compatible with a Cisco IP Phone 7940 Series. All I can seem to find are wireless headsets. Basically, I just need a cordless phone I can plug into the phones we already have in case we have to step away from the desk or office. We don't want to use headsets. Where I can find something like that?

I have a VOIP WiFi phone (MIC505W) I have configure it according to the user manual.I get access to WiFi, but when I dial a number I get busy signal with the message "disconnet".
my wireless connection always drops when my phone rings. i have a hp compaq presario cq56-115dx notebook pc and a 2wire 496 wireless rounter and i loose connection during internet exploring. WHY?
I know the AP541N can support the 7921 phone but all the documentation I've read assumes the AP541N is registering the phone with a UC500 system. I was curious if there would be any problems using this AP with a 7921 at a remote site (881SRST gateway used). It would be tieing into a CUCM BE system at the central office.
We have a UC500 with 3 access points AP541N. We need to move around the building so we use wireless voice with 7925G phones. All works fine except when the phone needs to change from one AP to another. We lost connection for a small interval of time and then resume normal operation.
I have configured a cisco UC520 with inbound called coming in on FXO port 0 and have configured it as a co-line. I have 4 phones set up on the system including the wireless 7921 phone, the problem is that if i answer the call on the 7921 it does not give me the option to hold or transfer the call however the other phones do (7931).
I have CUWN, WLC 5508 is installed and APs are 1142. Network is working fine but I am facing the problem with Android phone which are not browsing for internet.
Android phones connectes with wi-fi, it takes IP from DHCP well, which is pingable from any node of network. even I got be GUI of WLC on Android, but when it goes to browes for internet the message displayed " Page cannot be disply".
In same scenario if configure the Public IP on Android Phone (Via DHCP or Static) then it runs the internet smoothly.
Is it possible to integrate a wireless voip cisco 7921g (sccp protocol) with an small business modem router Srp527w (sip protocol), even if if is by connecting another device (like an access point) between both? I know skiny is cisco property and sip is an open source protocol, so I do not understand why cisco does not implement the skinny protocol in his Srp527w.
Recently got satellite high speed. Am trying to hook up the wireless router my son gave me. Installed and set up but my PC doesn't recognize it and my phone won't pick it up.
recently we have deployed a Two APs in branch office warehouse and I have one wifi phone 7925 used over there. the problem is every time when phone roaming from one AP to another, 2 or 3 packets dropped, following is result of the 'debug client ':

I cannot make a long distance fax with my phone card & HPOffice Jet 6500A-It will take the long distance fax # then say long distance is not supported. If I dial my phone card # - It then asks to press 1 for english, 2 for spanish and there are no dials lit to enter the language choice. If that would go through, I could enter my pass code then dial the long distance fax # once my available minutes are confirmed. It seems like this was not thought out on this machine - how am I to make a long distance fax with out having to purchase long distance service from the phone company?
I currently have a home wireless network set using a router provided by the phOne company. I am considering canceling my wireless Internet through the phone company and use a cell phone data plan for all my wireless by using cell phone as a personal hotspot. Is there a method to use my wireless printer (hp 4360) to print through the personal hotspot?
We have a new deployment where we have 5 total 7921G wifi phones connected via 2 AP541n access points, one connected to a ESW520p switch and then to the UC540 and the other connected directly to the UC540. The wifi phones are intermittently giving no audio when calling each other, however, calls to the PSTN consistently do have 2 way audio. Is this a security issue perhaps? We are running the latest CCA software pack as this is a brand new deployment, also the AP's were upgraded to the latest firmware.
How to get the FCC ID from a 7925 phone. We have one on order for an upcoming VoFi site survey but I wanted to take a look at the maximum output power by channel so I can begin cell/channel planning.
I have an Orange Livebox connected wirelessly to my laptop. Everything's been working fine until the last few weeks. Whenever I receive or make a call using my iDECT s2i cordless telephone the internet drops and it takes ages to reconnect. I've checked all the connections and every phone socket has an ADSL filter. I understand that some wireless devices can affect a router and that these are usually 2.4ghz devices but I have no idea if my cordless telephones are 2.4ghz or 5.8ghz or indeed if this is the source of the problem at all.
I setup an accespoint on my laptop. Now I want to connect my Phone (android) to this network but, he is asking for an Ip-address I tried the following;
I just bought an ea6500 to replace my old Billion router and up to now all I've had to do is plug my phone line directly into the "phone line in" port on the back of the billion router. But I see there is no "phone line in" port on the ea6500, I don't use a modem and have used the billion router by itself for the past 6 years, is there a way to connect my phone line directly to the ea6500 somehow? My research so far indicates you can't do it via an 'Ethernet / phone line adaptor' as they are incompatable anyway.
The install guide seems to expect a Modem is being used but in my case it hasn't been and I would think a router should perform the basic functions of a modem anyway ?
My concern is that if I really need to purchase a modem then won't this potentially 'throttle' the capabilities of the ea6500 which is the reason I've bought it in the first place ?
If I do need to purchase a modem to get my ea6500 working then what specs should I be looking for ??
I have the WRT120N. It seems to work for the computer and for Netflix through the BluRay, but I cannot connect my Kindle, my son's Kindle or either my ormy husband's phones anymore. They used to work.
Also, the free trial of Network Magic is over and it can no longer be purchased. Do I really need something like that?
