Cisco Wireless :: WLC 5008 Configured Country Code
Jul 6, 2011
I have a WLC 5008 running with 40 AIR-LAP1042N-E-K9 and country code BE (Belgium) configured.I also have some AIR-AP1142N-C-K9 which I converted to CAPWAP OS.Unfortunattely only 1 of the 2 radio interfaces is working because of regulatory reasons.(the AP's are -C models which stands for China - although they were bought in Belgium too).I tried to activate the country codes for BE and China, but the WLC won't accept both.Is there a way to get the 2nd radio interface working ?
We have an AP located on a German site which is supposed to connect to a WLC which is in Germany as well. Our network however is spread to France as well where another WLC is located. Now, the AP can not be convinced to connect to the German WLC. Despite our efforts (e.g. manuel IP configuration, reset to factory defaults) we don't manage to bring that AP to the German network - this is by the way the only AP, all other approx. 200 work just fine.
We have cisco 2504 controller and 1200 series access point. These are in India and country code is IN.When access point joins the controller , then in wireless>advanced , i see the two country code is already configured these are Sri Lnaka(LK) and Singpore (SG).I have disabled the radios and changed the country code to IN but after doing that Access point is not joining the controller and giving the duplicate error.
Then i have again set the country code to IN,LK and SG.I am able to see the LK and SG but In is not showing in drop down list.
I am trying to install SSL VPN on our 1941 router. When i try to send a CSR for signing the site complains about the country code not being correct. How can i change the contry code in Cisco IOS Version 15.0(1r)M9 ?
It is also complaining about the domainname, but the thing right now is the contry code.
Nowadays my Company works with autonomous APs (AP1142 most of them.We have a WLC 5008 and I am working on the implementation project... So far so good.BUT, I have just realized that the Company didnt buy a second WLC (this project started 1 year ago and I wasnt an employee here yet...).If I transform all autonomous APs we have (around 25, locally and some of them remotes)... And then If I have a HW problem with our single WLC... those APs will continue working ?
I have been searching through the cisco docs for a while and i just cant seem to find this info. Can I run aironet 1600's with my wism running 7.0.116? Also, could I run my 1130 series ap's with a wism2? Basically, what is the minimum code level for a lightweight 1600, and what is the maximum code level for a lightweight 1130?
Can I use the access point 1242 to do clients location using WLC 5008, NCS 1.1 and MSE3310?On this moment I doesn´t need of CleanAir features. I want just to do location for clients and rogue aps.
Currently my solution consist of two 5508 controllers and several non-mesh and few mesh AP (2600) running in flexconnect mode in one single site in europe. Everything is going fine. However there is going to be a new site in Canada. I found some documentation saying that multiple country code is not available for mesh ap. Mesh ap are not going to join controller if multiple country code configured . but all this documentation is regarding version 7.2 and older. Im running version 7.4.100.0 and on configuration guide I don't find anything related to that.
I bought a v1. wusb600n for win XP sp3, recently for no apparent reason, it became stuck in country region #2 (ch 36 to 64) when i use WZC or even netstumbler to view networks. I have tried uninstall/reinstall of driver, tried using ralink's driver and even another usb600n, but the problem remains.
Checking the INF files shows that all the drivers are trying to install as region #0 (36-64 + 149-165) but they are always showing as region #2
I am testing rogue on wire using 5508 WLC and , I have a dedicated AP configured as rogue detector and configured the switch port where the Rogue detector is connected as trunk. I have plugged in an autonomous AP with open authentication to the same switch so that it can act as a rogue. On the WLC, I can see that Autonomous AP as rogue on Wire. But along with that I am seeing another AP as rogue on wire, even though i have plugged in only one Autonomous AP to the switch.
I have a ASA 5510 device. I have been asked to block Ip range for India from accessing set of servers. Total Subnets: 34,675,968.I really don't want to create a two mile long access list with all these subnets.
I have a list of email addresses, people who have subscribed to a free electronic newsletter. The email address is all the information we have about each subscriber.A satellite office is going to begin handling print and electronic subscriptions for subscribers in Peru. Is there any way to determine which of these email addresses are from Peru?
Iam trying to add servers to Tor (torproject.org) to remove country restrictions on videos from different websites such as bbc.com and i don't know how to do it. I got the server but I don't know what do do next?
A customer runs a 5508 WLC for quit a while. several dozens AP's are spread all over Europe an run just fine. All the AP's have a VPN based connection over an MPLS service provider, so we are using 10.x.x.x addresses only. We have upgraded to release 7.2.111.3 to support OEAP 600 and we have configured NAT in the Firewall as well a policy to support the home office AP. Everything works fine until the switch where the WLC was attached to crushed. From this moment on, all internal AP's ar no longer able to register at the WLC. A log at the console port on an AP shows that it tries to access the external (NAT) IP address. We had to remove the NAT flag to support the internal AP's.
I have a fairly simple WLC 2100 configured to control two APs. We had a power outage a few days ago, and though the WLC was on a surge protector, it did not come back up properly after the outage. The STATUS light sticks at amber and I can't get any console response. At this point I'm not sure what to do except replace the WLC, though I'm loathed to do that as our budget was just cut substantially for next year and we're trying to turn nickels into pennies.
I have a sa520w router I configured w a vlan for the wireless and port 2. Now I would like the switch to handle both traffic from the default lan and the vlan. I tried creating a vlan on ports 28 and 10 but I cant get it to work. I have my other lan on port 27. Ive read something about switch layers? not sure. so I want port 10 to route to the vlan and other ports go to the default lan.
We have a Cisco 2505 WLC which can support 5 Ap's based on license. Is there any limitation on the no. of ssid's that can be configured on a wlc, how to determine that detail.
I have a problem on a 1131ag Access point on recycle it stops and makes me maunually type BOOT at the ap: prompt
----------VVVVVVVVVVVVV---------------- ap: Xmodem file system is available. flashfs[0]: 282 files, 13 directories flashfs[0]: 0 orphaned files, 0 orphaned directories
[Code].....
I have already performed the ap: set BOOT etc commands a dozen times with the same results. It says: The system is not configured to boot automatically.
I've been trying to get this one going for 4 months now..it was knocked out during a power outage while upgrading it.
I am planning to upgrade the WLC code and I have about 133 RAPs/MAPs/1131 APs that already joined the WLC. Will I have a problem with my MAPs when the WLC starts upgrading the code. Some MAPs will have 3 hops to connect to a RAP.
I have a Linksys WRT54GL router in one building and a second router in an adjacent building. I have connected each router to a MODEM that takes me to the internet. Can I configure the two routers to talk to each other and at the same time maintaining their respective internet connections
We have received from a customer of us an WRT54GL box configured with a Coova software. This Wifi router was supposed to be a Wifi hotspot, but was not configured by us. This box is able, on startup, to get an IP by DHCP, to touch a remote Radius server, and so on (we "tcpdump" the Internet traffic, and we saw DNS requests, radius requests, ...)...
But, we are unable to connect to this box,by SSH or by HTTP, either by plug-in PC to the Internet RJ45 or the LAN RJ45. It has no IP as 192.168.1.1. Instead, it was configured to have 192.168.1.1 as gateway.
Of course, we have no doc on previous install, but only the admin/root password for SSH.We are afraid to lose the config (coova, ...) if we perform a hard reset. What is the best way for connecting on this box ?
I have a WRT54G2 with the most recent firmware upgrade (which brings issue one - there hasn't been a firmware upgrade released since mid 2009?) and am trying to connect to a VPN for work. The connection fails and I have gotten error messages indicating the issue is the router is not configured to allow GRE protocol.
We have an autonomous AIR-LAP1142N-E-K9 AP with software release version 12.4(25d)JA1. The access point is configured and an SSID is broadcasted. However when users are trying to connect to the AP, authentication seems to be accepted but users are not connected. I suspected the issue in DHCP but even on static IP the user is not connected.I dont believe any LAN issue is there cause I connected a PC to the same interface where the AP is connected and it took an IP from the required VLAN (1234) [code]
What is the maximum number of WLANs/SSIDs that can be configured on a H-REAP access point? I have a network with 3502i AP's, centralised WLC's in the data centre running 7.0.116.0, and WCS version 7.0.172.0.
I was successfully running 2 SSID's at a remote site, one SSID was configured for H-REAP local switching, dropping out to the local site VLAN X, and the other SSID was a central switching guest WLAN anchored to a WLC in a DMZ.I configured a third SSID at the local site running H-REAP local switching, and now I cannot see the guest SSID anymore, it does not appear to be broadcasting. Is there a maximum of 2 WLANs/SSIDs when operating in H-REAP mode?
Our company has a customer with a Cisco 4402 WLC and a code version of 4.2.130.0 . The customer wants to upgrade the code to 7.0.230.0. Is there any flash size requirement when upgrading to 7.0.230.0? (upgrade train: 4.2.130.0 ----> 4.2.209.0 ----> 7.0.230.0), How can I find the flash size?
I need to convert some 1142 APs to lightweight mode. They will connect to controllers running 7.3.101.0. I noticed there's two options of Lightweight IOS code available c1140-k9w8-tar.152-2.JA.tar and c1140-rcvk9w8-tar.152-2.JA.tar. Whats the difference between the two versions of code?
Working on a project consolidating all controllers to a single 8500 controller with a standby. Moved an AP over to test the process and everything worked fine. Took a little longer than I thought it would, but given the design with new flexconnect abilities, the creation of AP groups well you know.
I get the AP over and one of my ssids doesnt work because the key is different, so gotta move the AP back over to resolve production issues.
Just purchased a 2504 w/15 licenses and to run 10 - 2602i AP's. Code out of the box is 7.0.222.0 but when I go the support site I see 7.2, 7.3 and 7.4 all with relatively recent dates. I found I need 7.2.110.0 at a minimum to run the AP's. All the code versions say ED, which I thought was not final release versions.
We moved to a different city and trying to access any available network but can't connect. Says no network found. I click diagnose and it says "This computer does not have a wireless network adapter installed and configured"
