View 2 RepliesI bought a router Cisco WRVS4400N Wireless-N Gigabit Security Router - VPN v2.0 with the intention of using with the Quick VPN Client for connecting to my home network.
My home network is connected to a pre provide by my ISP Thomson TG784 and is connected to it but all my main network is controlled by the WRVS4400N, I have forward all the doors, as you can see by the log part below, and by analyzing the log you can see that I can't get any PING to complete the VPN connection.
OS is windows 7
QuickVPN Clien is 1.4.2.1
WRVS4400N firmware is v2.0.2.1
Thomson TG784 firmware is 8.4.2.Q

Is it possible to telnet into the 'WRVS4400N Wireless-N Gigabit Security Router with VPN' router? When I try it says the remote system refused the connection.
View 5 Replies View Relatedi bought this router because I wanted a gigabit router for my small business and I figured whats better than a small business router? Well, one think I used pretty heavily on my Linksys WRG54GS was a simple port forward to my XP box for VPN. I know nothing about how to currectly set up VPN in this router. Does this router have a built in VPN server? Also, is there anyway to completely disable everything VPN side on this router and simply forward my port 1723 to my computer again? I am using this in conjunction with my android phone. I downloaded the AnnyConnect software, but yielded zero success. I have a working tun.ko installed on my rooted android phone, but this all is completely too much work for something that worked very well before using simple port forwarding and the built in vpn client on the phone. How can I correctly set up my router for the VPN to use with the AnnyConnect application I have on my cell phone?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an Ethernet Loopback Plug (4 Pairs) made and trying to test the Gigabit Interface on a 3845 Router with a fail result. The interface will show up/up only if I set the interface to 100M/Full Duplex when I plug-in the Ethernet Loopback Plug (4 Pairs). I don't see this Gigabit Interface @ 3845 router has any option to set it to internal or external loopback.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm running an Optiplex 330 with the Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit ethernet card.
The computer is running Windows 7, 64bit, but there do not appear to be any drivers for that OS.I tried selecting Vista 64bit, but there were no drivers. The Vista 32bit doesn't work.
Then I went to Broadcom and found these drivers: [URL] the W764bit drivers didn't change the fact i'm still on a 100Mbit card (as seen on Local Area Connection Status screen and the Device manager)
But I currently have a Linksys E3200 I bought in a moment of weakness after an evening of being pissed off at bricking my old WRT610N. (soft bricked, but I'm beyond screwing with it)
There's nothing *wrong* with it, but I am interested in something that either comes preinstalled with DD-WRT, or is well supported (ie easy to install on) by DD-WRT. I plan on selling the E3200 once I find something to replace it.
My requirements:
-Gigabit
-5 GHz (I have a file server/HTPC; I don't want to be limited to gigabit ethernet)
-$150 or less (I know $150 is high, but I figure I'll get close to that for the E3200)
I have that red gigabit router with the 150/65 service. It connects via ethernet for internet and has a coax to transmit the guide data etc.So my idea was to just leave the Verizon router connected and on (with wi-fi off) so it could do the TV stuff and just plug my router into the ethernet wall port the Verizon guy installed. Not so easy of course, my E4200 will not recognize the ethernet from my ONT (I think that's what the device they put in my basement is called) and the internet doesn't work. I have factory reset the router. The reason I am doing all this is because the wireless range of the e4200 at 2.4ghz is near unmatched and given my house, the actiontech cannot reach my room.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy HD Configuration is:
+ WRT310N v2 ,
+ Win7 x64,
+ Realtek RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20)
My connection is still 100.0 Mbps.
The first part, is this even possible? Modem to switch.
Second part, e1200 router plugged into switch, handles DHCP for the switch.
Plug gigabit computers into the switch, non gigabit/wireless devices into the e1200 router.
If e1200 can't handle DHCP for the switch, could I configure a DHCP linux server directly to the switch?
I don't want to limit my network to my e1200 speeds when I have a gigabit capable modem and a gigabit capable switch.
I am using a E2000 connected to a DSL modem via the internet port. My modem is able to connect at gigabit speed but it doesn't seem to be the case with the E2000. All other ports are running at gigabit speed without problem. Is there any parameter that can be modified or is it a router limit?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to an E4200 from a D-Link DIR-655. I cannot seem to get my desktop to connect to the E4200 at 1 GBS. My adapter is set to "auto negotiate" but will only connect at 100 MBS. If I try forcing the adapter setting to 1 GBS, it never connects. I can swap out my E4200 with the DIR-655 and it will connect at 1 GBS just fine. I am using a CAT 5E cable. Is there something I'm missing here or is the E4200 just more finicky than the the DIR-655?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Linksys WRT320N Wireless Router and I am having an issue where it seems like gigabit (10/100/1000) ready computers are getting fast ethernet (10/100) speeds and fast ethernet computers/devices are receiving gigabit speeds. What I mean is the computers that are gigabit ready and are using cat6 cables are showing green icons on the Linksys WRT320N router and my network switch, which is only 10/100 ready and uses a cat5e cable to connect to the router, shows a blue icon indicating it is connected at gigabit speeds. Is the manual incorrect and green icons really mean gigabit speeds?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have what should be simple. Home network on cable. WRT320N is main router cabled to desktop with GB card. It is hard-wired to a Netgear WNR3500L (also gigabit). That router is hard-wired to a desktop with GB card. For testing I connected a second machine hard-wired to the WRT320N with a 10/100 card. All machines recognized cards properly at correct speed. I ran LAN Speed Test between machines. Speeds were comparable between machines regardless of cards. GB -> GB was mid-30's write, mid-80's read with GB -> 10/100 a couple of ticks slower but not significantly. The LED's on both routers will show different color if GB connection and both showed GB for the desktop connection but not the interconnect between the routers. The routers are connected at about 100' with CAT5E and straight-through.

Is there an issue with this router? or am I expecting too much from Linksys?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've been using WRT320N few days now and I am happy with it so far! It's not overheated as many people reported and performance is also great (wifi as well as gigabit ports). I tested all functions (NAT, Advanced Wireless Settings, Port Forwarding, Access Restrictions...) - all working great, but I am little stuck on the easiest one - configure it temporarily as regular gigabit switch with an IP address: I put my WAN cable and LAN cables in the 1-4 ethernet ports. NAT, DHCP and Firewall are disabled in the router. I have DHCP server in my network that is assigning IP addresses based on MAC address. In "Setup" > "Basic Setup" > "Router IP" I would like to set up automatic configuration - DHCP, but it is not possible, so I just type the same IP address that It should get from the DHCP server (in this case 10.109.249.42). Does all 1-4 ethernet ports have the same MAC address (in this case 00:25:9C:4D:16:86)? Everything is working fine, my computer's IP addresses are succesfully assigned (as well as wifi devices) from DHCP server in my network, but I feel like WRT320N's address is not assigned - the problem is I can't connect to router's administration under http://10.109.249.42. There is no IP restrictions for remote management.

I have purchased Linksys WRT320N because my ISP give me speeds of 400 mb/s download and 200 mb/s upload. After I tested the speed my router get only 137 mb/s, why is that? I paid for gigabit router!?

I am new VPN and have not found much information on how to establish this connection. The only information I have been able to find seems to relate to setting up VPN Tunnels, or running a server behind the wrvs4400n and using one of the VPN passthrough options. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two PCs connected to each other through a Wireless-N Gigabit Router (WRT310N). One PC is running Windws XP while the other is running Windows 7. At this point I do not have, or want, Internet connectivity. I would, however, like to call web pages on the Windows 7 PC from the Windows XP PC. The Windows 7 PC has php files that run C++ files to analyze files supplied by the Windows XP PC and I would like to send the results of the analysis back to the XP PC.The reason for this is that I am setting up a home based web site that allows users to run programs on my Windows 7 PC but I want to keep hackers from accessing files on my Windows 7 PC. So the XP will be connected directly to the Internet and the Windows 7 PC will only be connected to the XP PC.I can successfully ping both ways between the Windows 7 PC and XP PC. So I fire up FireFox (FF) on the XP PC and type the following in the FF URL box.

The same happens when I replace the Windows 7 PC IP address with the Windows 7 PC name.I tried to set up a network between the two PCs with the MS network wizard on the XP box. It made a setup disk with a single file on it. I was supposed to run the setup file on the other PCs that are supposed to be on the network but, whe I did, I got the following message.Cannot complete the Network Setup Wizard,An error occurred during the configuration of the network on this computer. You can configure the network manually.
If I connect wire directely to the PC Ethernet port the Internet speed is about 400 Mbit/sec (speedtest.net)When my PC is connected through the Linksys E4200 Internet speed is not above 90 Mbit/sec.
