My DIR-655 keeps rebooting multiple times per day. Something in the order of 10-15 times per day. This is not under any heavy load. It's plugged into a decent battery backup providing good clean power. I initially thought its overheating, so I had a fan blow on it all day long, without any change in the issue.
I loved this router when it was working correctly (3+ years). Any way to figure out the cause for the reboot?
Is it possible to go back to FW 1.34NA from 1.35NA ? I tried all normal methods and got poo-poo'd by the router...

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got a DIR-655, and I got it working, with some effort. However, the wifi stops connecting to the internet every few hours and requires a reboot. Only a reboot of the wifi portion of the router's software, I go to Manual Wireless Connection Setup and save it without changing anything. LAN connections don't experience this.

I bought the MR3040 to use only with battery but now my if used with 3G stick E1752 it reboots. If I use a powered hub then it works.
I thought this devive was a mobile device, now it seems I need external power.
I purchased the DIR-615 last week, and have experienced intermittent loss of internet connectivity, and automatic rebooting numerous times a day. A solid connection is up for 90% of the time; but you never know when connection will be lost. When connection is lost it automatically comes back after about 5 minutes with the router rebooting itself. I though I would ask for assistance here prior to taking it back to Fry's. I was previously using a 6 year old Linksys, and had no problems for years until it recently decided to die.

i have been living in China for some time and bought a DIR-600M router from DLINK while I was there. While a friend configured it for me and everything was fine, i would love to have an english version of the firmware.... i have searched everywhere but couldnt find any english version for this particular model..I have tried to download and install the American version of the 600 model, but it seems as it does not accept this version as it always jumps back to the chinese version after rebooting....

Second LAN cable from Port 1 to my laptop for config of the WLAN SSID and WPA2. Unplugged it and here we go, I can access the 615 via WLan Connection. But... I have no Internet Access over Lan or WLan. The 615 gives me options to setup Internet with the cable/ISP information. But this is done by my cable modem, isn't it ? What do I have to do to get it running? enabled and disabled DHCP, made Reset, latest Firmware 8.02 is installed (out of the box).

I have the modem running in bridge mode and the 655 set to PPPoe connection, MTU at 1492. I confirmed the MTU setting on the isp modem/router before bridging it. The question i have is if the router MTU is set to 1492 does everything on the LAN side of the router run at 1492 or does it run at 1500 while the router breaks the packets up? Everything works fine but my pc's all use vista and i'm not sure where to check the mtu settings at and all my game consoles are set to mtu automatic so i can't really see what they're running at either.

I would like to pre-stage and configure the new box with the existing config, migrate license and export certificate files before swapping it with the old one during a change window. The new firewall will run 9.1 on deployment. Now the same 7.2(4) cannot just be copied over to 5525X running the minimum 8.6 version. I have had comcast come out and test my line and everything is fine. I have a desktop directly wired to the internet and several portable devices accessing the router.I cannot connect to the internet. My network is available and none of my devices ever indicate the network isn't available. When I try to load a website it just says "waiting for reply..." and nothing happens. The solution that always works is rebooting both the modem and the router. What is odd is that this problem comes and goes, I will go a week with zero issues, then I go all week with rebooting my stuff 5-8 times a day..What have I tried? I tried the settings that are recommended by Furrynuts to users complaining. I have also tried changing the wireless band settings to different channels as well.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a TP Link TL-WN722N 150mbps USB wireless adapter I use with my desktop. I've had it for about 6 months and it has been mostly fine with a few little problems. I recently went away for a few weeks and when I returned I found that my wireless adapter is running very slowly and disconecting from the router. It is an adapter problem as no one else in my house is having the same issues. When the adapter does run slowly the only way to speed it up is to unplug it and plug it in again. This puts it back to a bearable speed but usually this drops within 30 minutes.

I have a tech coming out tuesday but if it's something i can troubleshoot and fix now i'd rather have that.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a SF 200-24P Cisco switch that seems to be rebooting constantly, When i connect it to mains power it seems to go through a startup cycle, in this order - i have tried this with no network devices attached and the same thing happens
1. Fan starts - continously runs
2. Very quick flash of all RJ45 ports.
3. After about 30 seconds, any network devices connected have an acticity light
4. After about another 45 seconds, all ports light up including the activity and POE orange LEDs for about 5- 10 seconds then go off.
5. About 10 seconds later the ports all light up again and stay on for about 5 seconds.
6. All ports go off and the cycle keeps repeating continously.
I have tried pinging the switch without success.I have also tried disconnecting all devices from each port with no success.At no time does the system LED on the left light up.I have tried resetting to factory default with reset pot on the left side.This is a brand new shipped switch from our cisco supplier, could it be DOA?

I have setup an Anyconnect SSL-VPN in my 2811 and it works just great, but then after the reboot it fails. I think it has something to do with the SSL Cert being ereased. Here is my configuration, if you need anything else:

About every 20 minutes 12 of 300 APs keep rebooting. I have tried moving them to different controllers. I have tried downgrading the code and then upgrading the code. I have tried replacing the AP. I have tried swamping out cables. They are all connected to a 3750 stack but plugged into different switches in the stack. Here is the result that I could capture when I saw it disconnect from the controller. This is the output from the AP:
