D-Link DWA-552 Xtreme Wireless-N PCI Adapter / Suddenly Lost Internet And Can't Get It Back

I use a D-Link DWA-552 Xtreme Wireless-N PCI adapter on my Windows XP Home SP3 desktop computer that has been working flawlessly for months, until last night when it suddenly stopped being able to connect.I was just on the web last night doing what I normally do, and all of a sudden out of no where I lost internet connection and I couldn't get it back. I've tried resetting the router downstairs, I've tried restarting and shutting down the computer, and did three system restores (that all failed anyway), and none of these things are getting my connection back. Now also for some reason I can't even open up my network adapter's wireless network manager anymore because it closes itself not even a second after I boot it up.The modem and router downstairs look perfectly fine and all the other computers in the house, even the laptops, can all connect but mine, so something must be up with my network adapter.

i just recently built a new computer (well today) and i plugged in a wirless usb adaptor that was about 2 years old and it was pretty fast but it still lagged my game starcraft (i was just trying it out to see how the computer would handle it). I went out and bought a brand new xtreme N desktop PCI adapter and it is even slower, and it disconnects every 5 seconds it seems. I installed it correctly and installed all the drivers, I also have rebooted the computer and it is still slow and wont even connect for a full youtube video. am i doing something wrong or is my adapter the problem (i am doing this on my laptop which is right beside my computer and is still connected to the internet).i cannot wire my computer to my router because it is to far away so that isn't a solution.

I dont have an internet connection through my computer. This one tells me error 106. I have 3 computers hooked through the same router. So, I know I have internet, as I am writing this now. But for some reason, that computer is now telling me I lost the internet connection. I have tried unplugging everything, restarting the computer, and nothing has worked. I dont know how to get the internet back on that computer.

I have an HP EliteBook 6930p with windows 7 installed and everything was working fine until i did a recent windows upgrade (might just be a coincidence) and i suddenly lost internet connection. My laptop picks up the router, shows full strength but i cannot connect to the internet wireless or Ethernet cable. I restored to a previous date and it worked fine, and all my other devices work fine (iPad, iPhone, other laptops). The trouble is when i connected to the internet again it up dated windows and i cant restore back to the original date anymore as it has gone from the list.

My wife and I both have Win XP laptops. For some reason, one day we both lost our wireless connection. However, my wife's machine later was able to reconnect - mine wasn't. My machine sees the wireless network, sends the key, and tries to acquire the ip from the router. That's where it gets stuck. The ip address never gets updated.

I was using my little PC laptop and it fell, and suddenly the internet doesn't work.It doesn't show me any wireless option at all (in bottom right corner. or in control panel)and in "Network Connections"there isn't the wireless option as there used to be.Now it only has 'LAN or high speed internet"I've tried looking at old threads but haven't found anything suited.Is there a way to reactivate? I've tried everything I can think of! (laptop has no CD drive)

My home desk top is set up with D-Link Xtreme N Dual Band Router. I have no problems accessing the internet on my desk top computer. I am trying to access my home wireless network through my HP laptop computer. The wireless network status is Limited or no Connectivity. I've tried the "repair" button with no resolution. The wireless connection is set to automatic.

Packard bell alp ajaxc3 notebook has suddenly lost wireless,it has been working for about 18 months with no problems,the system is windows 7.first tried system restore about three times,no luck the toolbar shows the icon with a red cross but check the device manager and it shows the atheros adapter as working properly.tried ip config and it says everything is disconnected and the adapter as switched off.there is no external switch and I can't find any info on the net as to a software switch.the router is ok because my granddaughter dell works ok and I have two others with wired connects.even tried a windows repair via the install disc without luck,tried another adapter which it recognized and installed with the same result have been through the forum and tried everything that remotely resembled my problem,same result.

Up until 2 days ago I've had no problems with my v1 running 1.0.05. I was copying something to my drive and the connection became non-existent. Going into the menus it shows my drive as having full capacity available. Well i konw thats not true. i unplugged it and directly connected it to a PC. All of my info was there. I connected it back to the router and nothing. No shares of any sorts. It shows it detected the drive. Does not show USB speed and does not allow you to create new shares.

TP-Link TL-WDN3200 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter
started functioning really slowly. I'm confused why one day it was fine, and the next the speeds went down dramatically. My wired internet connection is fine, any other device that uses the wireless behaves normally. I'm on channel 1 so I'm pretty sure there are no interrupting signals; maybe it's a fault with the USB?

Recently my router have been experiencing an issue with internet connectivity with Unifi.I will be able to connect to Unifi, the status is "Connected". However after some time though, like 5 - 10 mins, I will be no longer able to browser any pages or get disconnected from online games. Checking through ping tests, I can see that I am unable to get a response. Checking the router shows that I am still connected to Unifi. After a minute or so the connectivity is restored, but the issue happens again as before. This happens with both wireless and cable. Attached is a sample of the ping test result.
Things I have tried:
Updating the firmware to the latest version
Re-configuring the modem
Re-setting the Unif credentials in the router
Downgrading the firmware

I have a D-Link DIR-615 Hardware Version: E3 Firmware Version: 5.10 and I am using this as an access point with the DHCP disabled (secondary router) and my primary router is located down stairs and it is also a DIR-615 Hardware Version: B2 (192.168.0.1) and this issue didn�t develop until later over time and I have made absolutely no network configuration or ISP changes at all the internet has been working fine confirmed with Time Warner Cable and for more than six months and I out the DIR-615 Hardware Version: E3 Firmware Version: 5.10 router has been bringing down the entire network/internet access and I can confirm this router is causing the network/internet to go down and windows notification will say the network only has limited access and I am also unable to access the router page (192.168.0.2) state I have to remove it and restart it D-Link can take a look into this issue I believe this might be a bug and I confirmed on the website that this is the latest version.

I have this D-Link DIR-825 and it was working fine till yesterday. All of a sudden it stopped connecting to internet. I restarted it and tried to login to the router but failed. I called the support and did a hard reset of the router. After that when I am not able to connect to the router from my computer for configuring it again. When I connected the Router to my computer via LAN cable sometimes the LAN port is glowing and sometimes it is not. I tried different LAN Cables too. But nothing is working and I am not able to get to the router page.

Ok i have a dell inspiron m5030 running windows 7. The wifi card that came with it is the atheros 9285. It was working then out of know where i logged off and logged back in when i changed classes and it doesnt work anymore. In the device manager it says it is installed but cannot start.
(Before this I was able to connect with wifi almost instantly without a problem.)

Today my router stops working. There is no internet on wifi even on lan. I thought my ISP is the problem but when I plugged in the wan cable to my laptop there's an internet. I tried to switch off the router and when I turned it on, there's an internet for about 15 seconds then after that there's no internet again. I have a router that needs to be reset to get the internet speed back to a usable speed. It is a fairly old router (D-LINK DSL 2730B) and it does get quite annoying. There is allot of devices connected, which may affect the speed, but I am sure it shouldn't change upon reboot. I literally reboot every hour or 2 during peek periods.

I have a Sony Vaio Model VGN-NS20E (Vista) that has built-in Wireless. The PC was heavily infected by Virus and I had to re-install Vista Operating system. The system is now running fine (picture, DVD drive, sound etc )although, it will not detect the Wireless Adapter, hence the wireless will not work.I went to the manufacturer's computer website and downloaded the driver and (I think ) installed the driver on the laptop.The yellow "wireless" light on the front of laptop is not lit, even though it is switched to on.Am I right in thinking it is the wireless network adapter that isn't working and not the driver as when I go to "Device Manager" and look at the Network Drives, it only shows the wired Ethernet option. This added to the fact the yellow wireless light doesn't come on, on the front makes me think it is the adapter and not the driver.

My Gateway NV53 laptop has suddenly lost the ability to connect wirelessly to any network. Ethernet connection works fine. Wireless light is turned on, but laptop does not "see" any wireless networks. It is as if the wireless adapter is no longer there. It does not show up in Device mgr.

I am trying to connect to the internet a second, older tower using the WUSB600N ver 2 adapter, the unfortunate part is that I have lost my CD's that originally came with the adapter. I am on my primary machine right now so I am able to get online. I am wondering if there is a way that I can get the proper drivers or software, put them on a USB drive and then put them on the computer that I am trying to connect?I have already tried this, but I cannot seem to get the steps right or I don't necessarily know what I am doing. i just bought and installed tp link wireless G usb adapter TL-wn422G.
i was tring to connect to the internet but after about 30 second the connection to the internet was terminated, and i need to unplug the device and replug it , in order it will work again (for about 30 seconds more).

Yesterday we had a very brief power outage and until then everything worked fine. Small business that runs modem - router - switch. Since the power outage I can only get internet if I run straight into the modem. As soon as I run from the modem to any (tried 3 different ones) router I lose internet. I get a wireless signal on my router. I've reset the router to default settings. I've plugged in another router to the modem to check and I don't get anything from that router either (which was not plugged in during the power outage).

When I connected to the Internet by using WiFi, my laptop will suddenly disconnected. Sometimes it works to fix it with troubleshooter but sometimes I have to restart my laptop again and again. The troubleshooter mentioned it can be driver/network adapter problem but how to stop DC. I have a DIR-825 (B) for over a year now. This morning, the wireless on it suddenly stopped working. Meaning, all my machines not longer seeing the signal from that router. If I hardwire to it, it will work fine. I have check the wireless settings and they all look fine.

after year and a half of using TL-WR741 ND router, it suddenly stop working during the night. I have no problems with router before this happened (I think only one or two reset in 1 year and 6 months). System led light does not flash (some sytem error) and I can't access to 192.168.1.1 router setup site. I tried almost everything, unplug power, reset etc. for almost 100 times, reconnect the router with modem and PC in all posible ways, but still can't establish connection or even access to router's setup. I am writing in from Cuenca, Ecuador. I have a TD-W8901G Wireless ADSL2+ Modem Router. I have accessed the interface using the default ip address:192.168.1.1.When I select Interface Setup from the menu, it only shows Internet and LAN as the only 2 options. Wireless is no longer there. It just disappeared! The LED indicator light for WLAN is also "OFF." When you try the Quick Start wizard guide, it cannot complete the setup because there is an IP address error.
I have changed the firmware 2x since, trying to remedy this, I have also tried factory resets at least 3x. Nothing has worked up to this point.

I have a dir-655 xtreme N gigabit router with 2.03NA version firmware. The wireless signal will suddenly and randomly disappear from my laptop. I checked the properties of the network connected it remains on the same channel when it reconnects so I figure it's not a channel issue.I have reviewed this forum for hours and have made many changes to my settings, but nothing seems to keep the wireless signal from stopping.
