DDNS Setup For Computer Networking?

I am trying to connect computers through internet connection.When I type the address on a browser (google chrome or mozilla) it says that the address is unreachable.[URL]"An attempted connection to 112.201.9.206:80 was refused. This typically indicates that there are no services available on that port, but that it is NOT being blocked by a firewall or your ISP."
Heres what I have done so far.
* Registered at DynDNS
* set-up/log-in DDNS on my router (D-Link WBR-2310). enter DDNS address, enter username and password.
* Set-up port forwarding (port 80(http) and port 443 (https)) on router
* open both port (80 and 443) on my computer and exmy windows firewall

I am trying to set up my rv042 to use the ddns service. The rv042 is directly connected to the ISP provided modem on WAN port 1. The problem is that instead of seeing the internet IP the rv042 is using the ISP sub net assigned IP.
LAN IP : 192.168.1.1 WAN1 IP : 192.168.12.9 WAN2 IP : 0.0.0.0 Mode : Gateway DNS (WAN1) :DNS (WAN2) : 192.168.12.1 DDNS(WAN1 | WAN2) : Off | Off DMZ Host : Disabled

I was wondering if there is a possibility of getting a trojan from my roommate's computer while using a router. My computer will be the one with the router and the roommate's computer will be the one with the network adapter. He had it fixed supposedly,but there is a possibility that it is not gone.

I have two NICs and two seperated network connections on Windows Vista System. I want all visits to websites that are blocked by our Corporation LAN go to the external network, so I can use my personal emails etc.All the other applications still use corporation LAN.
1) Corporation LAN subnet: (Connection 1 - DHCP)
IP: 142.241.X.X
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 142.241.X.X
2) External network LAN subnet: (Connection 2 - DHCP)
IP: 192.168.1.X
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.1

I am about to get a group of 5 public (external) IP addresses from my ISP. I have a Netgear WNDR3700v2 router. I was told that 1:1 NAT would be the way to assign static public IP addresses to some of my computers, while making the rest use private network IP addresses (issued by a DHCP server), and have all the computers accessible in the same domain network.
Is this possible using my netgear WNDR3700v2 router? If not, what do I need?I was looking at the Netgear FVS318G wired router, and I would then use my existing router as an access point. Does this make sense?

I have networking skills but I am unsure of how to properly configure routing so that everything can be seen on the network and access internet.Switch is for all towers/servers and router is for laptops.

I had this small internet cafe with 15 units pc. and browsing the web is not that stable. i have to unplug the internet modem everytime i can't connect to the internet.I think it has something to do with the settings that was in the router since it was just configured by a tech guy which i think not 100% sure of what he did, though it can connect to net for sometime but most of the time it is down.

So I'm building a house... in the living room there will be one server-like computer. This computer will also work with a NAS. So there will plenty of storage to place pictures and movies etc etc.Every room in the house will have a coax cable and CAT6. What I want is for fast file access to the server all computers in all rooms can use the CAT6 cable. That isn't the issue, because i will use network dives and mapping.e're planning on putting a TV in every room, so we want to perfect our media setup. But how can i make it, that the server will be able to stream different movies to different TV'S at the same time? The TV'S can get the video feed via coax? Or should I pull one more cable to all the rooms?So how can i have it that the media can be accessed at the same time? I can duplicate the monitors, but is it possible to have the server/computer play 2 or more different movies to different TV'S at once?

I need to setup new ACE 4710 device , after referring to "Establishing a Console Connection on the ACE" i had managed to set up initial console connection. During installtion i had configured vlan (default vlan 1000) , interface ip adess& subnet mask.
Post initial config i understand i should be able to open' Device Manager GUI Login Window' but it is not opening.I also need inputs on setting 4710 for the telnet connection

I want absolute max throughput possible to be achieved in all focal points. We're all in internet related industries. Between gaming and web-development latency and throughput are major factors for us.
1) Garage (office). downstairs
2) Each bedroom x4. upstairs
3) Living room. downstairs
The fastest line we can get is Comcast 50mbdown/5up (Wideband).
I am looking for the best way to achieve wireless and wired performance for our setup.
Our gaming computers may be in our bedroom, and we also may bring it down to the office every now and then for LAN sessions. Most wireless will be happening downstairs with our laptops, but since we may do LAN sessions then hard wired latency may be important there too.
I dont know if placing one D-link DGL 4500 on the top floor would be enough; which I currently own. url...As far as I'm aware wireless signals transfer best top down. Would this wireless router be enough on top floor and that's it?

I am planning to imlpement an ASA 5505 in my home network and I am wondering if this is a valid configuration. I am wondering if it is necessary to have 3 separate internal subnets or if these can be cabeled together in a more efficient fashion?
I plan to keep the 2 servers (game, e-mail) branched off the ASA directly in a DMZ configuration. The rest of the clients connect through the wireless/wired router.
Any unforseen problems with a setup like this (Modem -> Firewall -> Internal Router)? I have read sites that say I will have to accept an IP via DHCP for the ASA's external interface.

Currently, I have 2 Apple Airport Extremes, and 1 Wireless Netgear ADSL Router. The 2 AAEs are connected separately to the router, and this allows us to get coverage in most part of the house (it's a large house with concrete and granite walls). I also have a HP Officejet 8500 'wireless printer' that is wired to the router as you can only print to the printer when it's in standby with a physical connection to the router (that's a different story). So my goal is to replace everything as the router is slowly dying and as a result of this, I want to be able to access the Internet wirelessly throughout the house, and be able to print from any where in the house without anything connected via cables. And as a bonus, I would like the Internet to be accessible 100 yards/metres down the garden (workshop is there). Basically, blanket coverage!

We have a home network setup. My HP Pavilion AMD Athlon 64 laptop running Vista, shares the printer with an older desktop, AMD Athlon 1600 XP. The printer is hooked up to the older computer that I am getting rid of. I assume I will have to install the software for the printer onto my laptop so I can use it. Is there anything else I should do? Other than removing all the files etc off the old computer.

The computer that i am using which is on the LAN Setup. Also it is connected to the domain. Whenever i tried to log on to the computer it is giving me an error message that "The System could not log on the "Domain Name" either the connection is disconnected or the domain is no longer available" somting like that. When i remove the LAN Cable and if i enter the domain password, i can login to the computer. after i log on the computer if i connect the LAN Cable it is working fine. I can access the other computer which is connected to the same domain. Why the error message is poping up?

I am just wondering how to set up a home network with an old computer used as a server... we will have a wii, ps3, lap top, and 2 desktops connected to the network as well as two dell printers. The laptop runs windows XP and the desktops run windows vista. The old computer will will use as a server is windows xp or windows 98 (most likely wont use that computer). I have a Dell Inspiron, Win7 Home Premiun, 64 bit, N4110 Laptop and a Dell Optiplex GX520 with Win7 Professional, 32 bit desktop and I'd like to be able to share files. The laptop can see the desktp on my network but can't access any of the files. My desktop can't see the laptop at all. BTW, I do have MS Security Essentials running on the laptop and the Windows Firewall is on - the desktop is set up the same way.
When I try to set up a HomeGroup I get an error message that says "Can't set up a HomeGroup on this computer".

I got a problem with my setup main computer, It work wery god wireless, with very fine speed about 82 mbit in and 24 mbit out. The problem is that it almost don't work at all with cable, even if i turn off the wireless network, the speed is about 2-3 mbit in and about 6-7 mbit out All other computers, tv. printer wireless work very fine.

I bought a HooToo IP Camera (HT-IP212) to monitor my garden activities from my laptop at home. Everything so far is going as normal as it shall be. The wired connection was fine and is providing steady image and video output. Question 1# is i can't figure out how to configure the wireless section. i have a cisco 892 router that is behind a NAT/ROUTER/DHCP device of the ISP.i need to configure DDNS but i get a privat ip on the Cisco "WAN" interface. i need a local ip/port to be available from the outside.i have configured de ddns service methode (Dyndns) [code] This wil send the private ip of de "wan" interface and that wil not work. <A> in de connection string wil be my private wan ip i get from the dhcp of the ISP .... ik can add a static rout on the ISP, but can not disable the router function (like bridging....) is it possible (with script or someting, MY IP LOOKUP) that the cisco router know's his real public ip, and that this ip is used to update Ddns ?

I have an HP SR2170NX desktop set up via DSL and cable to an ATT gateway router that enables wireless for my roaming with my laptop. The laptop works wirelessly even when the cable between the router and desktop is unplugged and the desktop turned off. I would like to equip the desktop with a Cisco-Linksys WMP54G Wireless-G PCI Adapter or similar PCI-card to allow for elimination of the cable between the router and the computer.

Hooked up this router the other day to replace my old Linksys G - which has been bulletproof for 8 years. I am now wondering if I made a mistake with this unit.
I set up DDNS - after much trial and error with dyndns it now works fine.I tried to set up NTP time function - does not work. Then I set time manually. Of course on reboot it looses the time since there is no internal time function. So I need NTP.In the course of troubleshooting I turned off DDNS and behold the NTP time function now works. I turn DDNS back on and NTP does not work.
I see no logical connection between these two functions, yet the seem to interact (or not) somehow.When the NTP is not working, on reboot the time displayed in the router is the last time that I MANUALLY set the time, even though that is grayed out since I have (supposedly) activated NTP.
If I do NOTHING to NTP and uncheck DDNS, after reboot the time is correct.I tried many different NTP servers all with the same result.Looking back on-line, I see the NTP function has been a continual problem with some folks (maybe those using DDNS?) in earlier firmware. Come on DLINK don't you think it's time to get this fixed?

My client has about 15 public IP addresses for their WAN network. All the internal network IP will be dynamic NAT to these 15 IP addresses to communicate to Internet. Since they are dynamically NAT, if anybody want to access my client internal network from outside internet, we usually advise them to use the whole range of IP.
The modem router used to dynamically NAT these 15 IPs are Cisco 2800.
I am thinking of the configuration using WAN DDNS on this Cisco 2800 for combine these 15 IPs to a DNS name by DDNS method (or any other way beside the DDNS) so that outside people can use one DNS name instead of whole range of IP. In case there is limitation of configuration of some outside people can use only one setting instead of one whole range of IP, they still can access by using one DNS name.
How to implement this on Cisco 2800?
