Important info: I only want to run the camera in my local network, i wont use the mydlink option,But if i install the D-ViewCam software the screen remains black and the program wont find my camera. I have a Dell Mini 1011 model. When updating some software, I accidentally removed the factory installed wireless software. I installed something but it constantly disconnects and says "multiple wireless networks are available" and makes me reconnect manually. We have other laptops in the house using the same wireless, and they are having no issues.

The screen has only the option for 1 video channel. I have seen on-line screen shots that have options for channel 1 through 8. I want to assign each camera to a different channel so I will be able to use remote live view to show all 4 cameras at the same time. I can only show one at a time. Do I need a different version than 3.3 or some obscure windows 7 setting?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was upgrading the OS [c:] on a DELL Poweredge 840 server from Win2k3 server to Win2k8 R2 server using the Dell SMTD DVD to prep the install. This has always worked in the past without destroying the data partitions. (I have now found out this only works properly if the OS is on a RAID 1/0/10 and the data on a RAID 5)
In this case the OS & Data were both on RAID 5 & the Dell tool reformatted (quickly) or maybe reset the partition table so that it looks like one big drive. I noticed this once I got to the install screen for Windows 2008 R2 and shut down the system.
Are there any utilities that can be run from a bootable CD/DVD that can undo the format on the RAID 5 set or else let me browse & recover the data on the various partitions?
So i have a dell latitude e6400 laptop running windows XP. Now whenever I connect to my home wireless network, it will connect fine but randomly it will stop sending or receiving data. Therefore i cannot connect to any websites and i get a connection error. I check my connection though and it is running through an excellent connection.

In general I have no problems with my WIFI with simple browsing and most of my routine activities online. But any time I stream video (like youtube), music or download a large file, my WIFI spontaneously turns off. I need to either restart the computer or put the computer to sleep/wake it up for the WIFI to work again.
I have the latest drivers for the Wireless card. I scanned the forums and didn't see this problem reported elsewhere. I realize this is an old computer so I may have to install an external wireless adaptor, but I wanted to ask around before doing so.
We have 5 computers, 2 ipads, 3 iphones. All have been able to use the router until recently. We had a virus in our computer that is hooked up to the router. We formally had a "Linksys" router, now we have "Cisco Linksys e2500" . I had not made the connection that Linksys and Cisco were the same. We had "linksys" deleted from our "program". Some of our devices still receive wifi, so are struggling. Is there a way to down load what I need to do to get the Cisco Linksys e2500 working up to capacity?

She bought and installed a 802.11n router and bought usb adapters for all her computers and all work, except one, a Dell Optiplex 330 that runs Windows XP.Some drivers were missing such as her Ethernet Controller and a chipset driver but I was able to install those from the Dell website. She had not yet bought a new USB adapter for the computer, I tried using my D-Link adapter and I can see the network in the D-Link connection manager but in Windows when I go to view a list of wireless networks, it doesn't show any. I cannot connect to the network from the D-Link connection manager.

I inserted it in Slot 1 and powered up the router and there was a new serial interface showing in the config automatically as s0/1/0. I was able to get it setup with ppp multilink and added to the multilink group. The problem is I need to do a sh controller or sh service-module to see if there are errors happening (I'm using this card as a replacement for an interface that was giving errors with this line before). I can do a sh s0/1/0 and that works but I can't see deeper. I found it odd that the serial port just appeared in the config when I booted without having to do anything, if this is correct behavior and how I see the Controller or CSU info for troubleshooting?

Previously I had some piece of **bleep** G router/modem combo from Verizon and I didn't have any problems accessing my network shares, I did have a streaming problem with some .mkv's because the signal was so poor. I Finally dropped some cash on a d-link modem and an linksys E3000 router. Here's the messed up part, if my wdtv is plugged, physically, into my router I can access my shares just fine. I can stream movies with out any lag what so ever. If I go wireless (as I have previously been with the old westell router/modem combo) I can no longer see my network shares. I can connect to the internet and do netflix, pandora, ect. But when I go under network shares all that shows up is my router..

Laptop (also Windows XP) use of this data for viewing and printing is the objective -- without also installing the program on the laptop. (The catch is frequent updates.)
Both units have access to broadband; direct for PC and wireless router for the laptop. Have no problem also installing program on laptop, if needed: laptop access to current data is the issue. Even doing so via internet would be great. It seems that LAN and Broadband networks are both in play though I don't quite grasp any inherent conflicts.

I regularly perform updates on servers and this normally requires a reboot. I would like to be able to inform my customers when the server is back ASAP. Is there a program that continuously tries to remote to the server until it does or is there a script I can add to the server to send me notification of when the server ia back up?
