Cisco Wireless :: Manage One AIR-LAP1142N-E-K9 With HP Switch?
Apr 28, 2013I have only one LAP-1142N-E-K9. It is controller based AP but i dont have WLC. I want to manage these AP with a HP Switch. (HP 1910-24G-PoE)
But i dont known that a LAP-1142 is competible? If yes, how can i manage or configure these LAP with HP switch?

Oct 12, 2011Mgmt Vlan 1 (default) Data VLan 10 (with access to internet) Is there a way to have a PC attached to a SG300 switch such that it can both access Vlan 10 for data and Vlan 1 for managment ? The PC's port clearly needs to be untagged PVID on vlan 10. I have tried adding vlan 1T and setting the port as a trunk port but to no avail, The switch is currently level 2. I am guessing this might not be possible in level 2 without setting the mgmt vlan to 10 ?.

Nov 13, 2011I have a client whom has asked me to enable web management on some of his 2960 switches. I did not think this was going to be an issue, and so I told the customer I would set this up for him.
Much to my dismay, I have been able to get http and https enabled, and then authenticating locally for the HTTP access. I then come to the screen once authenticated which is shown below:
The issue is that when I select "Web Console", it gives me a "Web Page Cannot be found".
Cisco Switching/Routing :: 4506 - Cannot Manage One Switch Via Network
Nov 30, 2011I have three 4506 switches with vlan 4 set as the management vlan. Switch 1 is connected to switch 2 and switch 3.
I can access switch 1 and 2 using telnet from the management vlan and both switches reply to pings. But from switch 1 or 2 I cannot ping or telnet switch 3. If I plug into switch 3 and I can ping and telnet switch 3 but not switches 1 or 2.
It is as if the management vlan 4 is not being passed to/from switch 1 and 3. The configs for the uplinks from switch 1 to 2 and 3 are the same. And the configs for switches 2 and 3 look the same apart from the port settings.
I have over 40 vlans running all that work fine between all the switches.

2. I want to monitor the traffic on this environment, how I can do it? How I can monitor the traffic from customer A, Customer B, and my own LAN traffic, in terms of bandwidth that has passed throught my devices? Is it possible to monitor on MY LAN, or I have to monitor from the EXTERNAL switch?
3. How I can limit the bandwidth? I was trying to configure it using access list, with policy-map, etc....and limit this on each interface. [code]
The interface does not support the specified policy configuration and/or parameter values.Assigning a policy map to the output side of an interface not supported.With I few reading, I could see that the SWITCH 3750 doesnt support this configs.My INTERNET LINK is 30 Mbps, the ports on the Switch (WS-C3750X-48P-L) are Gigabit Ethernet.How I can limit the bandwidth here? For example, How I can limit a interface to 3Mbps..I was thinking about this:
- Limit the interface to 10Mbps: speed 10
- and limit the interface with 30% of this speed: srr-queue bandwidth limit 30
Does this work for both UPLOAD and DOWNLOAD?When the packets passes that 3Mbps limitation, will they be droped?
Some Program Won't Connect
Sep 16, 2011I use program to connect to internet, named SSH or something. So in that program, I will need to fill the 'port server','IP server', 'port proxy', and 'IP proxy', then click connect. After that a black box similar to CMD box will come up(see image below) and I will be able to surf the internet. I can use IE, firefox, and Steam. But some program like Kaspersky, Yahoo messenger, MSN, ventrilo, teamspeak and the rest won't work at all.

Feb 24, 2012I use Sage to update my stock on a PC in my back room.I want to access that PC and open the sage program from another 2 PC's, add data, save etc.I thought a simple network would do it but not quite. I have three PC's in different parts of the building.I can see all three PC's and share files, printers etc, but not sure how to execute and run the program through the network on the back PC.I didn't want to set-up a server but in a way this looks like what I need to do.How much more after what i've set-up as a network with all sharing and internet connections etc do i need to do?I'm thinking if i use the PC the program is on as the server, how would i be able to execute the program from another PC in the network.

Apr 1, 2011laptop access (via wireless router) to program data resident on my PC. The subject program is installed (frequently updated) on my PC (Windows XP). Laptop (also Windows XP) use of this data for viewing and printing is the objective -- without also installing the program on the laptop. (The catch is frequent updates.)
Both units have access to broadband; direct for PC and wireless router for the laptop. Have no problem also installing program on laptop, if needed: laptop access to current data is the issue. Even doing so via internet would be great. It seems that LAN and Broadband networks are both in play though I don't quite grasp any inherent conflicts.

Program Or Script To RDP To A Server
Mar 6, 2011I regularly perform updates on servers and this normally requires a reboot. I would like to be able to inform my customers when the server is back ASAP. Is there a program that continuously tries to remote to the server until it does or is there a script I can add to the server to send me notification of when the server ia back up?

Now how our network is set up is Program 1 runs and server 1 and program 2 runs on server 2. server 1 and 2 and all user pc's are connected to a domain run by server 3. The programs 1+2 are installed on user computers and connected to thier respective servers to run. now the problem is program 1 kicks a random number of users off everyday at 10:15AM and program 2 does the same but at 12:45. its the same time and its every day. I have checked all servers for errors or conectivity issues and have found nothing.
