Dell :: Inspiron Laptop 1318 Part Number Required

I have a laptop Dell 1318 Inspiron. At the extreme right front corner of the unit, there is an open 'wireless' slot. There used to be something there. Someone stole it. I can't find what part to replace it. My computer does not do bluetooth now. I had to buy an external Netgear wireless adapter, which uses a USB port that I could use. I have a Dell Inspiron 1318 Laptop. It uses Vista with Service Pack 2. It does work with the wireless router at my house. It will not connect to the internet at a Bloodbank I visit twice a week. It will connect to their wireless network, and gets a strong signal, but no internet. Other people at this facility seen to have no problem connecting to the internet. I tried downloading updated drivers for my wireless card, but it said I already had the latest drivers. I have turned off my firewall and changed to the lowest security settings. I don't know what to do.

what's the Intel wifi 5300 part number for the Latitude E4300?I bought one off of ebay that seems to be a generic version but Win7 x64 keeps giving a "device cannot start (code 10)" error. The seller insists it should work for a Dell Latitude E4300 and he send me the correct part. I have tried the latest Intel driver to no avail. I might end up getting a refund from the seller.

I recently bought a dell laptop(model specified on title). I decided to install windows 7 64-bit edition. I had some trouble with the following drivers : AMD Radeon HD 8730M - Doesn't seem to detect the gpu. Wireless driver - I still can't install it up to this day.P.S. I just did a clean install on sister's Dell Inspiron 1720 Vista Home Premium 32bit, and the WiFi will not recognize the connection. She is the second connection on this WiFi, and after the install, I can't get the ISP No. from AT&T! They keep telling me there is a driver problem, and the IOS says All Tests Passed.
I am not familiar with WiFi connectivity, I have LAN in my location, and am not familiar with this connectivity issue. How to get the ISP info w/o spending the next 4 hours on the phone with AT&T.

I recently upgraded my home network to include a new DOCIS 3 cable modem (SB 6121), RV 180 router, and a wireless access point. I have about 7 computers/devices on the network. A computer connected directly to the new modem was pulling down 30MB/sec (various speed tests), but when RV 180 was inserted between modem and network, downloads dropped to 10MB/sec. I worked with tech support (very kind), baselined the router, without improvement, and support conclusion was "hardware issue, need to RMA router".The one thing we failed to configure on the router was the Domain Name (Networking/LAN/IPv4 (local network)/DHCP/Domain Name:). Once I entered the domain name that actually matched the Workgroup / Domain name of the computers on the network, downloads and speed tests jumped to 30MB/sec consistently, and web browsing performance significantly improved.

I see that if I ask for 887va-sec-k9 I get an 887va with "advanced ip services" instead of the default "advanced security".
I can't see a corresponding part number for an 887va-w with advanced ip services. Is there one? Also, what would the part number be for memory to expand a va-w up to the max possible memory?
At a guess it would be the same part used to upgrade an 887va from 256 to 768, but since the part to upgrade from 256 to 512 is not the same as the part to upgrade from 512 to 768 I am not sure this is a safe guess.

We have a NM-T3/E3-RF card that fits inside a 3800, but does not fit into a 3945.
The documentation says it works with 3900 ISR Routers.
Is there a cradle or adapter that is required?
Does the "RF" section of the part number differentiate this from a NM-T3/E3 card?

Subject says it all. This is the newer style cable that doesn't utilize the separate cable and the grey RJ45/DB25 connector. It's a one piece black cable that has a molded DB25.

url...For the New Firewalls i.e. 5512X , 5515X etc there seems to be integrated IPS and we don't need to order any extra license or part number to get the IPS features .
But for the 5585X It says 2Gbps for SSP10 engine but I have seen in the Dynamic Configuration Tool that SSP10 and IPS-SSP10 are different things . Which means that I will have to order 2 service engines SSP10 and IPS SSP10 to get the IPS features and if I only order SSP10 with that Chasis I will only get firewalling ?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop. I have a problem accessing my home network which is not showing up under the "Connect to a Network " list. I am able to see my neighbours' networks and can access my own network with my phone, tablet etc. The driver is up to date according to Windows and is functioning correctly. I reinstalled the OS yesterday and the wireless was working fine last night. To the best of my knowledge, nothing has been altered.

Reset network adapter settings.I can connect to internet in "safe mode with networking" but not in normal mode.In fact, I can connect to the same wi-fi using my smartphone. Its a Dell Inspiron comp with Windows 7 & a BT buisness Hub router/modem,When searching for available wifi several come up in box as normal but his own router name comes up but there is a red cross where the rest have the usual green signal strength bars. When you hover over router name it says "this computer settings are not compatable" His router appears to be working as both him and myself coneccted our phones through it OK.

bought a new Dell Inspiron 15R laptop online and received it today.
It has Windows 8 preloaded, I am not able to connect to my WiFi network, while I am able to connect using my other devices.
The WiFi network in getting detected and the signal strength is full as well, when I give the password and click connect, it tries to verify and connect for a long time, finally say "Can't connect to this network".

I have a three year old Inspiron 1545. About a month ago the computer stopped detecting the wifi at home. It never had this problem before, and the other household laptop and iPhone had no problem detecting and getting onto the the wifi. The problematic laptop will connect to the net via wire. I get a red x over the connection icon, and when I put the cursor over the icon, a message reads "connection status unknown: the dependency service or group failed to start."

I have Dell Inspiron laptop with windows Vista Home edition with SP 2, Norton Antivirus 10.2. I was been using BSNL DNA A211-I wireless modem Since 1 yr. there used to be some router issues every 3 months and i used to re configure the router setting and re establish the wifi connectivity. but recently few days back I have uninstalled Norton antivirus and installed Kaspersky Internet security 2011( Trial version) even then things were fine for few days, i was able to connect. But suddenly 2 days back i connected my laptop along with the modem for one whole day without any activity . and on the next day when i try to reboot my system and connect to my internet i was not able to find the the wireless icon ITI in the available wireless connections list. The wireless connection was not detected by my laptop. my Wifi on my laptop is also on.I tried the below possible ways but could not get the connectivity1. re setting the router configurations2. switching the firewall off and tried to connectAll the 4 LED are glowing on the router, even when trying to connect PPPoE through LAN (with wire) it is connecting occasionally ie.. once for every 15 attempts. most of the time it is giving 815 errorI tried to the below commands from cmd prompt as wellnetsh int ip reset reset.lognetsh winsock reset catalogipconfig/flushdnsipconfig/registerdnsbut nothing happened.
