We have a NM-T3/E3-RF card that fits inside a 3800, but does not fit into a 3945.
The documentation says it works with 3900 ISR Routers.
Is there a cradle or adapter that is required?
Does the "RF" section of the part number differentiate this from a NM-T3/E3 card?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded my home network to include a new DOCIS 3 cable modem (SB 6121), RV 180 router, and a wireless access point. I have about 7 computers/devices on the network. A computer connected directly to the new modem was pulling down 30MB/sec (various speed tests), but when RV 180 was inserted between modem and network, downloads dropped to 10MB/sec. I worked with tech support (very kind), baselined the router, without improvement, and support conclusion was "hardware issue, need to RMA router".The one thing we failed to configure on the router was the Domain Name (Networking/LAN/IPv4 (local network)/DHCP/Domain Name:). Once I entered the domain name that actually matched the Workgroup / Domain name of the computers on the network, downloads and speed tests jumped to 30MB/sec consistently, and web browsing performance significantly improved.

I can't see a corresponding part number for an 887va-w with advanced ip services. Is there one? Also, what would the part number be for memory to expand a va-w up to the max possible memory?
At a guess it would be the same part used to upgrade an 887va from 256 to 768, but since the part to upgrade from 256 to 512 is not the same as the part to upgrade from 512 to 768 I am not sure this is a safe guess.
Subject says it all. This is the newer style cable that doesn't utilize the separate cable and the grey RJ45/DB25 connector. It's a one piece black cable that has a molded DB25.

Let's say I need to find maximum number of PRIs I can connect on a C3945.
I see that I could buy for example (4) VWIC3-4MFT-T1/E1. The C3945 comes with (4) EHWICs where such VWIC3-4MFT-T1/E1 cards can be inserted. Since each VWIC3 has (4) ports each, that would be total of 16 PRIs.
Then let's say I want to put more Service Modules and allow me to expand it further. The C3945 can support up to (4) service modules.
If I want to put the maximum number of PRIs possible, is it right I could install (4) NM-8CE1T1-PRI. That would give me maximum of 48 PRIs in a C3945.

I have a 3825 router running 12.4t IOS. I installed DSU/CSU part number HWIC-1DSU-T1 in the router and it does not recognize it. Is this the right card for this router? The backup in the former scenario was actually an ISDN solution. Moving forward, the provider has sold them a 3G backup solution. To support this, we have purchased Cisco line cards for the 3G. The part number for the cards is "EHWIC-3G-EVDO-V=".
I was asked by the client this morning if there was a way to tell what the IMEI number for the 3G card was. I performed a shew inventory, as well as a shew hardware, but I do not see this IMEI number. I also checked the label on the packaging box that the cards came in, but do not see this number. My users are using AnyConnect to make a remote access VPN connections to the corporate office thru an ASA5520. At this time, VPN users have very limited privileges because we allow users to connect using their home computers and RSA tokens.
I need to find a way to determine whether an AnyConnect client is connecting from a company-owned/maintained/patched laptop or some other device. I would like to give full network access to the company laptops while continuing to restrict access to the home machines. So far, the only idea I have is to use DHCP and associate the MAC addresses of the company laptops with addresses is a privielged subnet range.
I'm running an ISE 1.1.1 and i need to authenticate guest users.The goal is apply different Authorization profile to the same guest user based on the thevice he use to connect to the guest wlan.
I.E.:
if guest user "user1" connect to the guest WLAN using a windows laptop, than apply "Guest" authorization profile
if guest user "user1" connect to the guest WLAN using an Apple iPad, than apply "Mobile" authorization profile
I've tried to deployed the following 2 authorization policy:
1)if "Apple-Device" and "IdentityGroup:Name EQUALS Guest" then "Mobile"
2)if "Guest" then "Guest"
but the first rule never match and even if I use and iPad to access the guest network the "Guest" authorization Profile is matched
I've verified that the iPad is correctly recognized as an Apple-Device changing for test purposes the rule table in

View 5 Replies View RelatedWe had an existing installation of LMS 4.1 which seemed to have worked fine with the exception that it was giving problems with logging Syslog events. We tried everything to resolve it and then we found a link on this very site that explained that there was a bug in displaying Syslog events on LMS 4.1. It is important to state that we would get a few Syslog events but the rest were either filtered or discarded.As per the bug toolkit, we realized that we had to upgrade to LMS 4.2 to have the bug resolved. This was not a problem and we installed LMS 4.2 as a direct upgrade to LMS 4.1. We backed up our existing data and the installation process migrated everythin automatically.Now, LMS 4.2 is installed and our objective of having Syslog messages are being received regularly as we wanted.unfortunately, when we try to generate a report such as "Detailed Device" report and try to select All Devices from the Device Selector menu, we do not see any of our devices. However, we do find our devices listed under User-Defined Groups -> (Our DCR). Based on this, we can generate reports and everything is fine.Yet, we are doing this for a client of ours and they expect to see these devices listed in the "All Devices" section of the device selector. Apart from that, everything seems to be working fine.

I was wondering if I can change the mac addresses of the standby unit's interfaces to be exactly the same as the primary unit. I see an active/standby mac address section in ADSM, but I think that is used in the automatic failover function.
