We purchase a new 3945 router and a NM-1A-T3/E3 card. We would like to use the T3 funcationality so we enabled the command card type t3 1 (slot1), reboot the device.After reboot the sh ip int brief command should show the serial interfaces e.g serial1/0.In this case it doesn't, it shows the Gigi interfaces and ATM1/0 no serial interfaces.I've also tried upgrading to the latest IOS from cisco.

The documentation says it works with 3900 ISR Routers.
Is there a cradle or adapter that is required?
Does the "RF" section of the part number differentiate this from a NM-T3/E3 card?
I have 3945 Router and I have bought NM-16ESW-1G1G card. After installed the card no interface shows on show ip interface brief or Show run command . When i end the switch module then i have found the interface. previously i have worked on NM-16ESW card on my 3845 router where interface card interface shows in my show run and interface command and i have assign IP and crypto map fro my Branch.
So my question is NM-16ESW-1G1G is different then NM-16ESW card ? if not then why i can not find interface. if Different then i have need to configure interfcae by enter the switch module seperately ?

IOS on RMAed FWSM is 2.3.4 and cisco VSS supports FWSM IOS 4.0.4 and later.My issue is, I cannot access FWSM (IOS 2.3.4) via session command from cisco 6513 but could successfully consoled it without any problem. I have reloaded it twice and also tried to disable and enable power on it.

I am switching a switch connecting to the ASA5550 tomorrow. My current switch is using fiber connecting to the ASA. The new one only support copper. If I switch between fiber to copper on the ASA (change media-type command on interface) will it cause a down time? I have VPN tunnel on the ASA and don't want the session to reset.

I had it working fine up until i decided to install a new harddrive on my xp pro machine. but to the point, when i connect to the 3g card its fine, but if i try to enable the lan at the same time it disconnects my 3g card. my problem isnt how to network two computers, its how to get lan and a usb modem working simultaneously. i have tried to enable ics, then reboot. same results. if i can get the lan to stay on while the 3g card is on i have the rest whooped.it is some kind of setting somewhere. maybe i need to install windows 2003 server or something like that.

View 1 Replies View RelatedBrand new MSI system using windows 7. we're using a wirless network in the house, and up until today it's been fine. Randomly, Windows is no longer detecting any networks.
I've confirmed there is no prob with the router or signal as I can detect the network in my room and connect to the internet (using a homeplug hardline). I've tried enabling and disabling both the router and wireless card, a system restore (windows made no changes), and when I came to use the windows 7 troubleshooter - it says the device is not enabled?
I recently received the blue screen of death on my labtop so I used the system restore cd and wiped the entire hard drive clean. Afterwards I knew to extract the drivers from the drivers and utilities cd. I extraced the wlan card since this is what has been controlling my wireless at school and everywhere else. The little tower icon doesn't appear in my task box on the bottom of the screen nor is it anywhere where I can enable it. The only place I see the driver is in the add/remove folder in the control panel. Furthermore the blue light doesn't appear when I flip the switch to the on position.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI purchased a Linksys EA3500 about two months ago, brought it home and set it up with my DSL provider and everything was great, until sometime last week, and since then my download speeds have just plummeted to basically nothing. I did some troubleshooting but I cannot seem to find what the issue is. I have checked all the cables etc, and I know that it is definitely something with the router itself..My current Speedtest.net speeds are as follows (I am paying for a 5mb connection) with the EA3500.Ping of 15ms Download speed of .67mbps, Upload speed of .60mbps.When I remove the router and hook straight to the DSL modem I get the following results.Pink of 12ms Download speed of 4.89mbps, Upload speed of .60mbps
- I have tried to reset the router both by holding the reset button and through the configuration application.
- I have enabled and disabled wireless to see if that was slowing things down
- I have plugged in my old WRT54G and I get the 12ms, 4.89mbps,.60mbps results on it (so I know its the EA3500)
- I tried putting the computer in the DMZ
- I have changed the ports that the computer is plugged into
- I have disabled and enabled IPV6 on both router and network card
- Firmware version - 1.1.38.134141
We have two catalyst 3560 switches running c3560-ipbasek9-mz.122-58.SE2.bin They are connected using etherchannel using gi 0/21 - 24 interfaces.
on 3560-1 switch, there isn't any ip-default gateway or ip route configured. It only have 1 interface vlan configured.
on 3560-2 switch, there is ip default gateway configured along with 1 interface vlan.
What i dont understand here is that, i can reach out to other subnets from 3560-1 switch in which the routing is not enabled?
I have some LSA type 5, I want to change it from type 5 to type 3 before send to another Area, How can i do it?

How do we select the new IOS that suport this command?, ..we see a long list of IOS in the software download section of 6509, but not sure which one to choose..
With lms 3.2 during installation we can choose what to install i.e. not install DFM or IPM.
How can we do this in the new release 4.0 of the LMS bundle. I saw no options for it during installation of the new server.
Using the VRF- Lite functionality on Cisco 3750G's (WS-C3750G-24T-S), I've got a situation currently with a set of 3750's running inter- v LAN routing for around 80/90 connected sub nets (140+ gig ports). I'm looking in the coming week at creating a new VRF and enabling OSPF for that VRF while leaving the existing routing arrangements in the Default IP Routing Table.
I'm in a situation where I can't replicate the live config into a lab to test the impact / implications of enabling / creating VRF's. I know the 3750's have a very small support for VRF's (24 if I recall) but I only plan on using 2 or 3 max currently.
i need to free up my 2811 router memory.so if i remove this package, it will cause impact or i will miss any functionality ?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am currently looking at the suitability of replacing an 'airbreak' firewall with 2 new ASA 5505'S.One stipulation i have is that i require to connect the third party that is currently using the 'airbreak' solution using a secure iPsec VPN.I have both 5505's that were supplied by the third party, but i believe i may need a new fireware upgradeI am using ASDM 6.4.XX and the ASA's have firmware 8.4(2) and a basic licence.Am i correct in assuming that the VPN wizard functionality is missing because of th firmware installed currently on both of the ASA's? or am i looking in the wrong place?
I have done a fair amount of research an can see earlier versions of ASDM wit the VPN wizzard so can only assume it is down to the firmware.i see that the latest version for the ASA 5505's is 8.4.4 and was wondering if this will provide me with the functionality i require as it does mention in the documentation that it does support the clientless VPN options. Well I have been back and forth on this a while now...I have a 6513E chassis that is getting prepped for prod. I am currently testing sso functionality and I can only get it to work using the following images on both Sup Cards.

If I try any other image, smaller or bigger in size...it forces my Sup card in mod 8 to recycle " proxy request from peer ". I have tried K9 images and non K9 images. Here is an output from sh redundancy.

Occasionly, either once a week or twice a day the network functionality will literally dissapear. The icon still displays on the tray but when I click it nothing happens. If I try and connect to the internet it will say there's no internet connection. Also if I try and open the Network and Sharing Centre explorer stops responding and has to be restarted. If I try and shutdown the laptop it will just hang on the Shutting Down splash screen and has to be forced off. The laptop is still IN warranty however I want to fix it myself as I cannot face Dell

Im running a fairly simple server from my own desktop. However my desktop is connected to the internet via Wifi. When i make my static IP i am still conected to the internet. However I cant load any pages in mozilla firefox. Though! I can still talk to people on skype and Dolby Axon voice chat. how do i make the static IP without losing any functionality of my desktop, because it is my desktop, I use it for other things.

After doing some reading it appears that Cisco is going to a pay for the licensing functionality that you want. Do I need to purchase licenses to upgrade from IOS 12.X to 15.0.x to maintain functionality?
