Oct 12, 2011I am switching a switch connecting to the ASA5550 tomorrow. My current switch is using fiber connecting to the ASA. The new one only support copper. If I switch between fiber to copper on the ASA (change media-type command on interface) will it cause a down time? I have VPN tunnel on the ASA and don't want the session to reset.

I've got both of the Airespace MIBs and have browsed through them but I can't seem to find the correct location. I can find a list of all of the AP's registered but our monitoring software doesn't have the ability to 'count' that index. As such, I'm looking for a count/summation of the total number of registered AP's via SNMP.

We would like to use the T3 funcationality so we enabled the command card type t3 1 (slot1), reboot the device.After reboot the sh ip int brief command should show the serial interfaces e.g serial1/0.In this case it doesn't, it shows the Gigi interfaces and ATM1/0 no serial interfaces.I've also tried upgrading to the latest IOS from cisco.

Feb 22, 2011What would cause debug output to not show on a remote session via telnet connection where you've enabled terminal monitor?
The reason I ask is I was working with a client and we were debugging WCCP. I ran the debug ip wccp packets and events commands, then entered terminal monitor. After this, we saw nothing. We should have at least seen particular WCCP-related packets because we saw the necessary cluster view was established which can't be done without the exchange of these packets.
Can having syslog (logging) configured cause the issue? Did I use the command incorrectly?

The command "track number rtr" is missing. There are just three options there:

interface Select an interface to track
ip IP protocol
list Group objects in a list
Why is that so and where is rtr?I have the same switch with the following ios version:
WS-C3560G-24TS 12.2(50)SE1 C3560-IPSERVICESK9-M
rtr is present in there.

Mar 6, 2011We have a deployment of 400 store. Each of those have 2 GRE tunnels running over MPLS & 2 GRE Tunnels running over Internet leading to our 2 data-centers. At each Data-Center, we have 1 ASR-1002 connecting both MPLS & Internet MPLS tunnels (800 total per router).
I saw in the documentation that OER & PfR cannot support more than 20 external interface (in our case GRE tunnels) per MC. Does it means that we need to have 20 routers acting as MC to be able to use PfR for our Internet GRE tunnels ?
Is there any more scalable solution for this ? How big company address this issue when they have a lot of interface to run PfR ?

Jul 6, 2012I have an ASA 5520 and I'm using Solar winds real time interface tool to monitor the through put of the port. It seems I can never get it to use more than 100mb, where should I check?
I have run a sh int giga 0/1 and it shows the port is 1000mb full duplex and the I have also checked the other end where it plugs into the LAN and this also says the port is running at 1000mb full duplex.

Jul 6, 2011I had insatalled the ACS 5.2 on Vmware . As per my requirement i need to configure a user to restricted privilege so that he should be able to execute only the below commands on the switch .
-Show ver
-Show interfaces
-Show ip Interface Brief
-Configure terminal
-Interface <interface name >
-Shutdown
-No shutdown
The users should not be authorized to execute any other commands than above listed one .After the configuration i was not able to restrict the config mode commands . Once the user is authoized for Configure terminal access he will have full access on the device. How to configure the command set only to allow interface access and he should be able to apply Shutdown and No shutdown command .

Jul 27, 2006I config my E0/0 Interface with "ip ospf network non-broadcast" command, I want this interface to use uni cast to hello neighbor.
As I issue "neighbor x.x.x.x" under ospf process, it told me that: OSPF: Neighbor command is allowed only on NBMA and point-to-multipoint networks. I am sure that there are no any typo, and show ip ospf interface e0/0 says it's been an NBMA interface, so what's wrong with this router?

Aug 26, 2012I was having users on a Cisco WLC 440x controllers. Some service accounts were logged several time with the same AD-Account.Since I migrated them on the new controller (5508), it seems that we cannot have the same AD user logged several time.
I changed the Radius server with the one we were using on the old 440x but situation seems to be same,I checked the error message when trying to start a second similar connection they looks like :
