With lms 3.2 during installation we can choose what to install i.e. not install DFM or IPM.
How can we do this in the new release 4.0 of the LMS bundle. I saw no options for it during installation of the new server.
Cant find the speeking result/cause of 4 and 1 in the example below, that are defined as enums in the MIBs normaly. Where can I access the result of "snmptranslate -M<MIB-dirs> -m ALL -Td <ps-status/test-oid>" if this is implemented in LMS overall? What are the OIDs from Cisco's ps-status/test, if the translation of MIB-enums is not implented?

Cisco release the Cisco Prime LMS 4.1 on Aug. 2011. I download the lms4.1 from cisco and install it, but the lms4.1's evaluation license expire date is Oct. 28 2009. So my license already expired after I install the LMS4.1.

i tried to restore backup from LMS3.2.1(windows) to LMS4.2 virtual appliance. once the back up is completed, the home page takes forever to load. i opened TAC case, and the only way out seems to be configuring from scratch after importing the devices. i, imported the devices and this didn't cause any problem. But, making the configuration from scratch is something i would like to avoid if possible.

I reinstalled CiscoWorks LMS (Windows 2008 R2) updated th LMS with all availible devicepackages and imported all devices with a xml bulk import of the former installation. Now I am frustrated.... because after the reinstallation LMS has problems collecting the inventory data.The inventory collection for one local device (Cisco WS-C3560-8PC-S) starts and nevers stops.... I have to stop the ICserver to stop the inventory collection.
I have only 4 of nearly 1800 devices where it was possible to collect the inventory information.All the rest is supposed to unreacheable...Reports> Inventory>Management Status>Unreachable Devices.But if I take one of the devices which is reported to be unreacheable and do a device diagnostic (Monitor> Troubleshooting Tools> Troubleshooting Workflows) says it is reacheable...
The inventory does not appear in the "Collector Status"?
in LMS3.2.1 we have NMSRoot/log/syslog.log where syslogs are being logged actively from managed devices. i couldn't find the same in LMS4.2. I am configuring LMS4.2 from scratch and in the hope of making the trasition from old LMS3.2.1 to LMS 4.2, I am planning assigning the old LMSs IP to the new one. basically changing the IP address of LMS4.2.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a very special usecase with migrating devices from LMSv2.6 to v4.1 using DCR bulk import that was maintained manualy, not by discovering.The special thing is each device has its own SNMP-community and its about 1500 devices.RME discovery works fine, but I get the devices not discovered by DCR (CSDiscovery), because I need a minimal DCR discovery configration containing Seed and SNMP-settings. So I activated DCR as seed, but cant skip SNMP settings without an entry. But in this case I would need 1500 SNMP-lines that would be very unhandy. is in CSDiscovery-Settings a possibility to can leave SNMP settings untouched so it takes the credentials from the DCR, to can start DCR discovery?

Using the VRF- Lite functionality on Cisco 3750G's (WS-C3750G-24T-S), I've got a situation currently with a set of 3750's running inter- v LAN routing for around 80/90 connected sub nets (140+ gig ports). I'm looking in the coming week at creating a new VRF and enabling OSPF for that VRF while leaving the existing routing arrangements in the Default IP Routing Table.
I'm in a situation where I can't replicate the live config into a lab to test the impact / implications of enabling / creating VRF's. I know the 3750's have a very small support for VRF's (24 if I recall) but I only plan on using 2 or 3 max currently.

Well I have been back and forth on this a while now...I have a 6513E chassis that is getting prepped for prod. I am currently testing sso functionality and I can only get it to work using the following images on both Sup Cards.

If I try any other image, smaller or bigger in size...it forces my Sup card in mod 8 to recycle " proxy request from peer ". I have tried K9 images and non K9 images. Here is an output from sh redundancy.

Occasionly, either once a week or twice a day the network functionality will literally dissapear. The icon still displays on the tray but when I click it nothing happens. If I try and connect to the internet it will say there's no internet connection. Also if I try and open the Network and Sharing Centre explorer stops responding and has to be restarted. View 3 Replies View RelatedThe only way I could get my EA6500 to work as auto DHCP to my Roadrunner Motorola SBV5220 Surfboard cable modem was to disable IPv6 support on the router. It appears that the EA6500 attempts to issue the DHCP request for address assignment from the modem using IPv6. I could see the status of "Connecting" for IPv6 in the Diagnosis Reports and it would hang. Once I disabled IPv6, the modem assigned an IPv4 address and everything worked fine. However, am I giving up any functionality by having to do this? I bought this router and the WUMC710 Universal Media Connector for the 5GHz connectivity for streaming and just wondered if I'm impacting UMC performance or any other functions of the router by having to disable IPv6.
