How To Determine The Cell Number From Sim Card
Dec 29, 2011
my husband gave my son a sim card for his phone and I have no idea what the number is. This is what I found on the sim card and need the number for this to see if it is valid.

Im trying to determine the serial number of Gbics already installed and running on a Catalyst 2950 switch. Is there a specific command to do so? There is a command on Catalyst 4506 that gives all info regarding the Gbic ("show idprom interface gi 1/1") Is there something equivalent for 2950?

We have a NM-T3/E3-RF card that fits inside a 3800, but does not fit into a 3945.
The documentation says it works with 3900 ISR Routers.
Is there a cradle or adapter that is required?
Does the "RF" section of the part number differentiate this from a NM-T3/E3 card?

I am working at a client site today. This specific client has decided to replace their legacy 2600 branch office routers with newer 1921 ISR G2 routers as they move from a Legacy Frame WAN to a MPLS network with a different provider.
The backup in the former scenario was actually an ISDN solution. Moving forward, the provider has sold them a 3G backup solution. To support this, we have purchased Cisco line cards for the 3G. The part number for the cards is "EHWIC-3G-EVDO-V=".
I was asked by the client this morning if there was a way to tell what the IMEI number for the 3G card was. I performed a shew inventory, as well as a shew hardware, but I do not see this IMEI number. I also checked the label on the packaging box that the cards came in, but do not see this number. Is there a way to tell what this number is for each card?

I have some tunnels which terminate to my home router. I'm allowing the other ends of the tunnels to use my voice setup. I need to prepend *67 to all called numbers which don't originate from my house. I don't want people calling my home number based on the caller-id number they see when someone across one of the tunnels calls.
So if 5008 calls 212-333-4444 I want it sent to my provider as *672123334444. If 5001 calls a number, I don't want it touched. Can I do this? I can use IOS or CUCM here.

Any way to simply have someone phone my computer such that they're on a cell and I'm on my mic? It seems like such a simple thing for this day and age, but my attempt at a Google search is resulting in things that aren't exactly what I mean, such as where I can phone them first, but would have to incur charges, as if I'm using a cell myself instead of a mic. Any way, a site, or a software, to make such a setup work? To be clear, someone using a cell phone--not a mic and not a computer--would somehow "phone" my computer/a software I have, and I would hear them through the speakers as usual and communicate by my PC mic--not a phone and not a cell.

I have a CME that has a FXO card, I can call the CME's number from an on-site phone and it works just fine, but when I try from my cell phone it picks up but doesn't give the dial-tone like it's suppose to, but if I hook an analog line to the phone line I can call that no problem from my cell?
voice-port 0/0/0
supervisory disconnect dualtone mid-call
secondary dialtone
timeouts call-disconnect 2
timeouts ringing 30
timeouts wait-release 2
timing hookflash-out 500
caller-id enable
dial-peer voice 201 pots destination-pattern 9T port 0/0/0 and I can see it pick up.
I was under the impression that an FXO card didn't have any clue about inside/outside etc, all it knew was that it was getting a signal to ring.

I'm the sole IT worker at this company and I specialize in everything but big, corporate networking so here's a dumb question. How do I determine the IP address of one of our two switches? I need a list of MAC addresses of connected devices so I can relabel all the cables that were mislabeled (and this is a managed switch). For the other switch, which was put in by someone who knew what they were doing, you just type ss3900 into a browser and tada, 3com Superstack 3900 login so apparently someone did some fancy DNS stuff or whatever.
For this HP Procurve, the idiot before me who got fired for completely screwing up everything didn't leave any documentation or labeling and didn't use the same IP address as the Cisco switch that was pulled out. Obviously the switch is invisible to my PC from an IP standpoint

I would like to ask a question about the setup that I'm trying to implement.I've got two WICs, 3G and LTE, in the router, one has its static IP address using 3G network, and another one has negotiated IP address using LTE network. There is no physical circuit/connection coming in to this place.Let say 3G network is (A.A.A.A|Cellular 0/0/0), and LTE network is (Negotiated IP|Cellular 0/1/0).There are two different network coming to the router. Let say they are 10.1.1.0/24, and 10.1.2.0/24,I want to route 10.1.1.0/24 traffic using 3G Network A.A.A.A Cell0/0/0,and route 10.1.2.0/24 traffic using LTE network, Negotiated IP Cell0/1/0. We're talking about only the default routes here.

I am using the HTC One S and a Linksys WRT54GL router and I find that I become out of range once I leave the room with the router. I am wondering if there is some sort of setting that I need to change on the HTC One S or Linksys WRT54GL to make the signal stronger?
My brother owns a Moto Razr, dad has HTC Desire C, friends have iPhone, S3, Nexus 3... all do not have any problems with our wifi connection anywhere in our house. In addition, I'm able to bring my 8 year old laptop across the street and use our wifi on our neighbour's lawn.

I have a site with a 1700 router connected to a 2960 switch. For some of the computers on site I want to determine how much traffic is local to the LAN and how much is going across the WAN.
One strategy I've come up with is to reset the interface counters on the switch ports to the machines in question and after some time compare the total bytes in and out of the interface with netflow data from the router. My only concern is that netflow is not completely accurate about the amount of data that has passed through an interface.
Is there a better or more accurate way to accomplish my goal?

Do you know an easy way to determine the physical location of the device were an IP address is attached? IP Geo location doesn't work well.Is something like this possible? I know it could be if you are the network administrator and know the location of your equipment and stuff.

I was attempting to troubleshoot a logon problem with some machines, when it was finally revealed that there was a managed switch between the host and the target preventing this.
How would I detect this in the future? (A tracert showed nothing between host and target.) Would Wireshark show me this info, with reduced TTLs?
getting a picture of all devices between a host and a target?

I tried resetting the router with the small button on its side. Nothing happens. all the lights blink when i pushed the reset button for 10 sec. but nothing happens. i still can't access its default IP which is 192.168.1.1 IS there anyway to determine its IP Address even if DHCP is disabled ?

Should the DIR-655 list all devices that are accessing either my WAN or another device on the LAN, assuming there are no other switches on the network, and all traffic is going through the DIR-655?
I was trying to determine the IP, and MAC address of an AT&T Microcell connected to my network. I have no physical access to Microcell. I have been able to find the IP address, in the logs of the DIR-655, but nowhere else. Shouldn't it be listed under SETUP -> NETWORK SETTINGS -> NUMBER OF DYNAMIC DHCP CLIENTS?

We can connect to both networks at the same time, but when we do we can neither print or surf.. It cannot find the printer and does not access the internet at all. Is it possible to do this without buying additional hardware

I am new to Cisco Nexus and recently my company auditor flagged out that IPv6 is enabled on our Cisco Nexus 7000 device when we are not IPv6 ready.
The auditors have flagged this out due to the following default CoPP configuration:
ipv6 access-list copp-system-acl-bgp6
ipv6 access-list copp-system-acl-hsrp6
ipv6 access-list copp-system-acl-icmp6
ipv6 access-list copp-system-acl-icmp6-msgs
ipv6 access-list copp-system-acl-ntp6
ipv6 access-list copp-system-acl-ospf6
ipv6 access-list copp-system-acl-pim6
ipv6 access-list copp-system-acl-radius6
ipv6 access-list copp-system-acl-ssh6
ipv6 access-list copp-system-acl-tacacs6
ipv6 access-list copp-system-acl-telnet6
ipv6 access-list copp-system-acl-tftp6
Does the default CoPP enable IPv6?
