Drops In The Link When Downloading Heavy Files?

What is the config.,which I can suggest my Bandwidth provider,so that my heavy files and small files should be downloaded at the same speed?y problem is that my bandwidth limit is 2 M.B.P.S. but I start getting drops as I start downloaded heavy files like 300 M.B. My Bandwidth provider told me that the only solution is that rate-limit will be increased. But it will be of Higher cost. Any configuration is there so that the same can be resolved without increasing Bandwidth.

Wired works normally, and wireless is otherwise stable, except when under heavy load. E.g. if I initiate a large TimeMachine backup over wifi to my NAS, it will fail and the wifi will drop requiring a power cycle.I have tried a similar transfer over ethernet (~1.7Tb) and although the transfer speed wasn't great (~10MBs, likely due to NAS drive bottleneck), it completed without a problem.
If I try copying ~150Gb over wifi, however, it barely lasts 30 minutes without dropping out.Once the wifi drops, it still connects, but nothing works (I am unable to even connect to the web interface using the local IP). Other devices connected already via ethernet or 2.5Ghz still function normally, but the 5Ghz just fails, and if I try initiating a new connection to the 2.5Ghz it doesn't work until I power-cycle the router.As far as overheating goes, I'm not sure it is an environmental issue... I have the router standing upright in an open space so there is good airflow around it.

I downloaded the HOSTS file from winhelp2002.mvps.org, hoping it would better my security. However, now some pictures that used to show either show the "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage." or just have the X box thing. I'm guessing this problem results from the new HOSTS file. What should I do? Should I revert to my old file? If so, then how can I do this?

whenever i try to download anything it currupts all the files its nothing to do with RAM or virus or malware as ive had 5 other peoples laptops in my hiouse and it only does it while connected to my internet as theres works perfect else where and ive just been out and bought an o2 dongle and it works fine downloads everything perfect.this ios the errors i get when trying to install winrar:

Currently im on a 60mb download speed and 6mb upload speed on an Alienware M15x (Windows 7) and attempting to re-download World of Warcraft... Every time I open World of Warcraft to continue the download it will disconnect all sources from the router (I'm downloading via wireless) including the wired connection through the computer in the other room. Its really annoying everyone when were attempting to download and disconnects people...

I have an RVS4000, and have been unable to update my iPad with the new iOS verison because the download of the update file keeps timing out. The file actually gets to the end of the download, but then times out before completion.
My RVS4000 is being used in gateway mode and is connected to another cable modem. When I connect my computer directly to the cable modem, the download completes without issue.
I've turned the IPS off.My patience is running out, as I've tried just about everything (firmware update, reboot, signature update, etc.). When I contact support, they want me to pay $79 to open a ticket. The router costs $120.

I buy this model is QOS, I just read a lot of DIR-655 streamengine article, it's hardware-base QOS router, can operate under heavy p2p application, it's why I am here.The wireless Client is ACER AS1810TZ laptop, the wireless card is Intel wifi link 1000, I have already disable power saving option. AS1810TZ worked fine with my old 802.11G router linksys WRT54GS and Buffalo WRH-HP-54G.The dir 655 seems fine when I just surfing web and download some files with IE, but when I check the statistics, I see a lot of wireless error and tx packet/ rx packet dropped, the percent I calculate is about 0.5%, I am wondering if it's normal phenomenal?When I download several bit torrent files With XUNLEI simultaneously, total 6 files, after 3 minutes, lot of session be created, the router slow down the download and finally crashed, wan be reset and wireless connection lost. router can recover after 1 minutes and try to continue the BT download again, but failed again. I have a wire ADSL connection and I use ADSL WiFi enabled router for distribute my internet connection with in my other devices (on my home network). When I downloading large files (more than 30MB) over the internet using my WiFi connection, my connection drop several times. However if I exchange large files within my WiFi network (with in home network via WiFi), my WiFi connection not drop (I can exchange 6GB files without any issue). Why is that? Is it my router issue or my ADSL connection issue? Most of the time after I lost internet connection, i can see my WiFi connectivity standby, it's not disconnect. However some time it completely disconnect. After I lost the connection (standby or completely disconnected) it again automatically connect.
I face this issue if i download large files on the internet, via the WiFi, if i download large files on internet using Ethernet cable, my connection not drop, it's stable. I use default wireless settings on my router? I use open WiFi connection.

My problem is that whenever I leave a torrent downloading for a few hours (using a wireless connection), my internet connection drops, both wired and wireless. I have to power cycle the modem and router to get things working again. When I plug my computer in with an ethernet cord and leave a torrent downloading, the connection doesn't drop.

I'm using DIR-655 A5 (A4 in configuration page), with firmware 1.35W. My Internet connection is about 100/100 Mbps, through fiber optic. The problem is that when I'm downloading torrents, sometimes DIR-655 becomes unanswerable, no Internet connection and I can't access the config page. The only way to solve this, is to restart the router.

We used the SG 200-26P (firmware 1.1.1.8 ) as our main LAN switch. We have a few other 100Mb switches but our servers and nodes in our cluster are all on this switch. If you log onto a machine on one of the other 100Mb switches and then Remote Desktop to a virtual machine that is running off the SG 200-26P, and then copy say a large file (500Mb) your you will get major delays in the response time. For instance mouse clicks, screen paints, etc. Remote Desktop to a VM is unusable during this time period. This also happens for instance during backups when files are being copied from a machine to a VM.
As mentioned the other switches are 100Mb switches from HP, a bit old. I didn't change much in the setup of the SG 200-26P our of the box. Jumbo frames is disabled, RSTP is enabled, with Flooding for BPDU handling.

We are having issues with our Cisco 2811 when there a lot of traffic on the device. Usually the router is down around 5%-10%. Total traffic might be around 2.0 MB. This is a router we are using at a remote campus. We do HD video conferencing every friday. We have a 10 MB internet connection that has our VPN connection to the main campus on it. While doing these VTC, the totall traffic is about 6 MB. The CPU Utilization then rises to approx 75% cause call issues and loss of sound. With another test with no one using the connection for anything else the utilization went up to 35%. The router has 128 MB Ram in it. Does the router need more RAM or do we need a larger internet pipe.

We have two 3845 routers set up using HSRP at two locations (4 routers total) connecting inside to a pair of ASA 5520 (Active/Passive failover) on each side. These links are used for internet access and they work great under normal operating conditions - they fail over and fail back without issue. How ever, two weeks ago our operations guys started a new data replication procedure going across these links via an IPSec tunnel created between the ASAs. This seems to have created a situation where the IP SLA tracking is not be able to receive the ping back from the upstream router on the originating side. [code]

After setting up my new dir-655 my pc's cannot share any files. I have tried turning off my firewall (kaspersky) although there was no problem with my old router. all pc's are running windows 7 and are on the homegroup.I can see all the pc's but cannot share anything.after reading some of the other post I have made sure that WLAN is unchecked.the router version is b1.

Wan goes down when transferring files between pcs connected to the lan port.It looks like it's running out of resources or something. Passing more than 10GB of data to other pc is a pain in the ass because nobody else can access internet (lan and wireless clients).Filled a support request in local dlink site. No response so far.

I recently bought an new router TP-LINK TL-WR842ND. After configuring it I connected it via an cable connection to my PS3. The Internet connection works correct and I'm able to use all network feature on my console.
Then I connected a USB Hard Drive to it USB port and I enabled Media Server feature on the router. I have done steps described here url... but with no results. My PS3 sees the Media Server, but when I open it it shows no files.

We have 512 link and observe output drops and application timeouts. Link utilization is not very high.When ping with 1500 bytes, it shows output drops and when ping with default packet size, no output drops observed.
Service policy also in effect and shows some drops.

I have set up the router with a USB FAT32 Stick 8gb shared six folders with about 5gb of music inside the server only streams the first folder to the network and inside that folder all the MP3 files and another 2 sub folders but not others. For some odd reason files seemingly related to my DIR-655 are being put in the root directory of my hard drive on my Power Mac G5 running Leopard 10.5.8. Two preference files and a folder named ''D-Link'' and another folder named ''Shareport.''Why is this happening? Ive formatted the sd card, enabled video/image recording, but no files show up on the sd management screen. I tried to select a folder to save the files to from the live video screen, but nothing pops up/opens when I click on the folder button. Everything is set up in the router software. The tuner detects the USB drive as a UPnP device, shows the directories I've set up for media share. If I select an AAC or FLAC file to play, the tuner loads it and plays. If I select an MP3 file, it loads, shows it as 100% buffered -- and hangs. Every time. The other devices on the router's network (wired desktop, wireless laptop, wireless tablet) can load and play the MP3s along with the other file types from the same USB-connected drive. That's why I figure the router isn't causing the problem.

I just purchased two DCS-930L cameras. They are both installed and running fine over wireless. I can view them via a web browser, however, I cannot get D-ViewCam to work. I installed the latest version (3.1.1). As soon as I launch the Main Console it crashes and I get the "Missing or Corrupted Files error code 268435457". I saw the other post in terms of change the display settings on my PC to 1280X768, however, that does not work. I also have User Account Control (UAC) turned off.
