Jan 12, 2011i have 3 home computers using the same wireless router. 2 of them have no problems detecting and accessing internet. one computer can access at times, but many times cannot detect network. i have tried restarting my modem, the router, my computer etc. at times, it works, at times it doesn't. at times, it is ok, at other times it is not.

Jan 27, 2012I'm planning to set up a network with two routers and one cable connection. One router will be for public wifi at my business and the other will be for my Point of sale system and private use. I think I have it figured out but want to double check the set up. Someone tell me if this isn't correct or if there's a better way of doing it.Cable modem --> connect via ethernet to Router #1 WAN port. Router #1 Lan port 1: connect via ethernet to router #2 WAN. Now, router 1 and 2 will have two different subnets; 192.168.1.x and 192.168.2.x respectively. Router #2 is the one that I should use for my private network and for the POS system since it can't be accessed by users from router #1 correct? I have DD-WRT installed on both routers but I plan on putting Tomato firmware for router #1 to limit bandwidth for public wifi and keep DD-WRT installed for router #2.

Feb 13, 2013I would like to get using of course SNMP, list of client IPs connected to VLAN in Cisco Catalyst 3600.So far, I have pseudo-algorithm made by me which obtains those IP addresses, but I am not sure if this is done in right way :
1) Receive all IP addresses from Catalyst using oid 1.3.6.1.2.1.4.20.1.2. I get something like :
IP-MIB::ipAdEntIfIndex.10.10.2.1 = INTEGER: 152
IP-MIB::ipAdEntIfIndex.10.10.2.251 = INTEGER: 152
IP-MIB::ipAdEntIfIndex.10.10.3.251 = INTEGER: 151 and so on.
2) Get ifIndex of VLAN (oid 1.3.6.1.2.1.4.20.1.2.10.10.2.1.<IP_ADDRESS>) for particular IP address from above list :
IP-MIB::ipAdEntIfIndex.10.10.2.1 = INTEGER: 152
IP-MIB::ipAdEntIfIndex.10.10.2.251 = INTEGER: 152
IP-MIB::ipAdEntIfIndex.10.10.3.251 = INTEGER: 151
3) Get VLAN name (oid 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.46.1.3.1.1.4.1.<IF_INDEX>) If_index is borrowed from list above :
IP-MIB::ipAdEntNetMask.152 = No Such Instance currently exists at this OID
IP-MIB::ipAdEntNetMask.151 = No Such Instance currently exists at this OID
In the third step I have this problem, that instance can not be found in OID. It is weird, because for about forty IP addresses i can find about their 10 VLAN names to which they are connected.
Linksys Wireless Router :: E2000 Software Can't Find Sonos When Pc Is Connected Through Wifi
Aug 28, 2011I bought a Sonos multiroom-system, and connected the first player to my E2000 router through Ethernet. It then gets a dynamic address through DHCP, I can see the Sonos within the network when looking in the admin tool of the router.When I start the Sonos controller software on my PC (XP), the software can not find the Sonos when my PC is connected through Wifi.As soon as I connect PC to the router with ethernet cable the Sonos is found immediately and can be initialised. After that, I can disconnect the cable and control the Sonos wirelessly. (as long as I don't close down the controller software for too long)
From what I understood from the sonos.com website, the Sonos sends an UPnP multicast signal on port for SSDP on port 1900 for initial connection. Further communications port are described below.Somehow, this multicast package seems not to be transferred into the wireless LAN, only into the wired LAN. Do I have to open some ports, filter some ports?Forward them?

Aug 13, 2012i am having a problem with my desktop right now, just recently i re-installed Windows7, a clean format... but then i suddenly noticed that i cant connect to the internet, no network adapters are detected on the Network Connections, its empty i looked at the Device Manager and saw a yellow warning on realtek rtl8139/810x family fast ethernet nic, i download the driver using my laptop (wireless connection)... and installed that driver on my desktop pc then checked the device manager once again, but it still has a yellow warning.i dont know what to do anymore, and at the last screenshot theres this error message: This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12) If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system.i have two lan cards, one at the motherboard(not in use) and the other PCI-E lan card (tp-link ) ...im just wondering if that Realtek i just installed is the lan driver for the motherboard?

Aug 8, 2011My computer is a ToshibaL500 satellite with vista home premium SP2, i use a Realtek RTL8191SE wireless LAN PCI-E NIC adapter. I tried to connect to a my friends wireless router. My PC can't locate anything and i tried to refresh several times and it didn't worked.I tried to re-activate the adapter and it didn't worked, tried to update it several times manually and auto no use. Tried to fix it with Windows Diagnosis and it said the Windows wireless Service was off so I turned it on, unsuccesefully. The device manager says it workes fine.
Entered in safety mode with net same thing. Did ipconfig/ but i can't post it here because i'm using my friends Pc and it's all Portuguese ,Anyway theres 10 LAN tunnel adaptors all turned off with the discription of 6TO4 Adapter exept (18) with has isatap as the description: Phisical Ip is 00-00-00-00-00-00-00-E0 (6), wich is the teredo tunneling Pseudo-Interface and the 1st one (no number) wich is my internet provider aswell as my friend's one. All Adaptors are DHCP is not activated and Autoconfig is on.

Most stores have several ISP accounts setup as failover, so they're not always active on our network but the ISP should still be up. He would like this to run from one of our servers. He is suggesting the 'gateway' for the ISP however I am not sure how to find this IP. The tracert utility returns IP addresses which are different than the gateway address in our router settings so I am wary to use those IPs.Which IPs would I ping to monitor the uptime and where would be the best place to find them?
