So I just finished installing ClearOS and configuring my network, but I can't figure out how to get it to boot without the video card. It's currently running with a 4870, but I want to take it out for the power savings. My motherboard is an ASUS P5Q-E and I haven't really found any information on how to do this or if it is even possible
we have a new ISE 3315 installation going on, I powered on the Appliance and appliance booted sucessfully, I run the Setup command. however after Setup is completed and appliance got a reload, it is not booting at all , booting seems to be hang up as per the snapshot attached.however Appliance is pingable, . i carried the following tasks as part of troubleshooting.
2: suspecting that Setup was corrupted, i then re-initialzied / re-installed the ISE Completely, then i run the setup command and after self reload, exactly same behaviour.
3: I tried with both Secure CRT & Putty and results are same
I am using a Dell XPS 420 computer running Vista. My wireless network has worked fine until now. I had my video/graphics card go bad and installed a new one (ATI Radeon 4350). That fixed the video problem but since then I have not been able to connect to my home wireless network. Windows suggested that I may have a hardware problem with my network adapter so I replaced it with a new Linksys AE 1200 USB adapter. The device manager says it is working properly but it does not pick up the wireless network says no networks available. The old computer sitting next to it picks up the network fine. I have reinstalled the adapter several times with no effect. When I click on the wireless network icon and ask it to diagnose the problem it says that 1) the network adapter has a driver or hardware problem (device manager says its working properly) and 2) to make sure that the Internet Protocol Bindings are proper and to make sure that Internet Protocol Version 4 and Internet Protocol Version 6 are selected (those protocols are selected).

My wireless connection takes about 5 minutes to actually work once I reboot my windows computer. Once I start it, the wireless indicator in the bottom right corner of the screen shows that it is loading, but then freezes and doesn't let me use most applications on my computer. Then all of a sudden it will so a wireless signal and connection and everything works just fine. On the other hand, when I use the function key on my keyboard that turns off the wireless card before I restart my computer, the wireless stays off when I reboot. Then I turn it back on using the function keys and my wireless will connect automatically. Why is it that the wireless card/connection won't start up quickly if I just leave it on like people always do normally? Why is it that I have to toggle it on/off all the time for it to work connect quickly?
I built a computer a while ago, from a reasonably low budget. Ever since the very first boot up, the wireless card (TP-Link, unable to find model currently, will add later) only works on the second consecutive boot up. I have no idea why, I have not found anything relating to a problem like this, the computer doesn't even appear to know that there is a wireless card in it. Instead the icon shows a cable, suggesting that the computer isn't connecting with the card.
direct me to a document detailing the order that line cards are supposed to boot in a 6500? I'm noticing random boot sequences in some of my chassis,?Note: We currently run Sup720 3CXL for the most part.
I have a Cisco 881W that will no longer boot/operate properly if the internal radio card is installed. If the card is installed, all I get is the following...
System Bootstrap, Version 12.4(22r)YB5, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1) Technical Support: [URL] Copyright (c) 2009 by cisco Systems, Inc
[Code]....
if I do a dev I get nothing. If I do a dir flash: I get "bad device name". My cookie shows FF in all positions.
If I remove the entire WiFi Radio card (both boards), then It boots fine, cookie appears intact, devs appear, IOS loads, just without the WAP.
Any chance this is a matter of a file getting deleted or corrupted or is this certainly bad hardware? The router sans Wifi appears fully functional.
We have open a division in the UK and are using DSL as a back up to a T1-E1, so I was going to use a standard DSL Modem but thought the WiC-1ADSL-I-DG would be better. However I can seem to get the card up and running. Here is the interface config and sh int atm.
interface ATM0/1/0 ip address dhcp ip access-group 102 in ip inspect SDM_LOW out [code]....
i am soon to be purchasing and installing a wireless card in my workshop pc and wondered if you could give me some pointers on which type to get etc , and any istallation tricks or problems i may come across , the sytem i have is a m621 acer running on xp pro ! i am currently running on a dongle at the moment , would a internal be benfical ? would it improve performance etc
I have 30 switched in my corporate network it’s all up and running all switches running by default configuration and connected to WS-C4506 core switch our dhcp server pooling 192.168.100.1/27 network. Now we need to configure new Vlan for finance department this department has more than 200 users. If my server distributes 192.168.200.0 range ip can vlan2 automatically assign ip 200.0 addresses to finance department. All switches running default config no ip address assigned.
I need to replace an existing ASA 5540 with a new ASA 5525X. I would like to pre-stage and configure the new box with the existing config, migrate license and export certificate files before swapping it with the old one during a change window. The new firewall will run 9.1 on deployment. Now the same 7.2(4) cannot just be copied over to 5525X running the minimum 8.6 version. There is a Web based tool available at [URL] according to Cisco documentation but the page does not load for me (Cisco intranet only tool ?). Is there another tool for automatic conversion ?
I think I am having problem with my network card I am running windows 7 with Dell wireless 1390 WLAN Mini-Card lots of times the signal is low and I get the error message no internet connectivity or some other error message that I am not being able to connect to the network provided by my wimax modem, Is there any program that I can download to test if there are any errors related to the network card or any way to fix this?
I'm trying to put together the best scenario for a large business to set up videoconferencing between users within the states and overseas. From my understanding, the company would have to set up a MCU to manage multiple audiovisual sessions. Then implement an SIP software such as Asterisk, with a registrar server to maintain a database with information about the network addresses of each user on the domain. The diagram in my head is something like this:
I want to watch internet streaming on my TV. And I don't want to have my PC turned on all the time. I've learned that I need some set top box for that, so I could connect it to my cable modem and TV. But all set boxes I've seen so far are for HDTVs and my TV is standard with S-VIDEO input.
I'm trying to set up a system where a lecturer can sit at home and give his (video and audio) class across the street via an ethernet cable strung across the street. The only problem is he has a mac, and we in the class running it aren't going to leave our PCs for macs!Is there any simple way to connect the mac to PC (without running through a router, as it slows down the system)? If so, what programs will work best for both PC and mac for streaming the video (and are free)[BTW I don't think a 100m cable is too long for the signal.
i want to establish a video conferencing system based using desktop computers so that at a time about 7-8 users are in a video conference simultaneosly. i have the media connectivity already established i.e on OFC. will i have to make a server.
Every year I attend a local motorsport event and I am usually responsible for providing a live online video broadcast of the event which I do using a website such as ustream.tv or similar. The event is non-profit so spending as little money as possible or none at all is the best option for us. We use a 3G card/dongle and a laptop with 2 or 3 webcams for the video feed....The results/scoring system in use at the event is controlled by the organisers and they have setup a VNC server where teams can connect with their laptops via a wireless network to view results, what I would like to do, is to include the results screen in my video feed. So somehow, I need to trick my computer into thinking that the VNC viewer software is a video input device.I have looked for something similar last year but didn't have much success, If separate laptops are needed, I have 3 windows laptops at my disposal and a macbook pro which will be on the same network. Whichever one will be most suitable for the task will be used.
Just got a new HD Smart TV and trying to stream Netflix and Youtube. Netflix works decent most of the time, buffering occasionally but Youtube buffers all the time and is not watchable. Using a Netgear WGT624 b/g router located some 60 feet away a half floor upstairs. Internet downstream speed is about 5.5 Mbps on the hard wired main computer and laptops show the same speed when connected wirelessly. Wireless Network Connection Status on a laptop close to the TV show "Very Good to Good" signal strength and Speed at 11 Mbps. Why is the Yotube connection so poor on the TV? The Netflix could be better too. Laptop by the TV streams Neflix and Yotube fine but of course that is not HD. Do I need an upgraded router or powerline network adapter?
I find Youtube, Vimeo and similar sites stutter a lot during streaming. I've run speed tests on my cable connection and am getting well over 50Mps.Is this the site's server problem, my Virgin cable provider or my PC please? [code]
Actually i need a streaming server that supports both audio(mp3) and video formats(mp4,avi..).But it should work in multicast and should possible to stream with VLC media player.now i'm trying helix media server. In this what are the procedures to configure helix sever in multicast.and how to stream media from it.Or Any other streaming server is there that suits for my need.
About two days ago my laptop started having problems with video playback on flash websites and pixelation/off-color images on every site I go to. The videos will be playing and then suddenly will start "tiling" and glitching around wile images will either not show up, show only half of the image, show up half "normal" and half pixelated, or be completely pixelated and blocky. This only started happening just recently and has never happened before.
I am no longer seeing the "download this video" message while in Chrome 13 trying to download to Realplayer. I have updated Realplayer, Chrome was updated for me and several automatic updates have updated Windows 7. I read on the Real website that Realplayer does not work with Google Chrome 13. I tried downloading while in internet explorer but still had trouble.
for some weeks now, Im searching for a solution to stream live video from a wearable device (glasses, headset) to a windows system for recording. Requirement is complete freedom from <span dir="auto">any LAN[CODE]
So my router is in a place where it cannot be moved as i have an old house which has small hallways and one central living room way the hell out in the boondocks relatively speaking. my brother just recently added a belkin dual band range extender to his room and i know it will be terrible for online gaming..is there an access point or range extender that i can use to hard wire my xbox 360 into that will still give me somewhat wired performance?
I am trying to setup the QoS for my router, and want to bump up the priority for streaming video such as Netflix, Youtube, and others... I am not certain what specific protocols and ports are used for streaming though. Googling Configure QoS for Youtube comes up with tons of long winded articles that never get to the point...
