Just bought new 3g data card from Airtel. Modem supplied is ZTE AF190U. Its not recognised by the 3GRouter.
I am experiencing strange problem about slowing down the internet speed after downloading is stopped in between. I then have reboot the desktop to regain the speed.
My networking as below:
DSL Modem
Dlink DIR-655 Router
Desktop A (Wired Network)
Desktop B (Wired Network)
Laptop (Wireless Network)
If I am downloading a file (1gb) on Desktop A and for some reason I have to stop it, then internet connection is desktop A , desktop B and laptop is almost killed. To get the speed back, I need to reboot Desktop A. All computers are on Windows 7.
If completely download the file, the internet speed is good on all the computers. Before downloading the speed is: After stopping the download the speed is :

I have a Dell Studio PC with a Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN Mini-Card. OS is Windows 7 with SP1. Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 2.00 GHz
In general I have no problems with my WIFI with simple browsing and most of my routine activities online. But any time I stream video (like youtube), music or download a large file, my WIFI spontaneously turns off. I need to either restart the computer or put the computer to sleep/wake it up for the WIFI to work again.
I have the latest drivers for the Wireless card. I scanned the forums and didn't see this problem reported elsewhere. I realize this is an old computer so I may have to install an external wireless adaptor, but I wanted to ask around before doing so.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWe are using Cisco Wireless solution in our network. Using 4400/5500 WLCs and 3500/1130 series APs.
A new requirement has come up and we need to provide connectivity between two buildings (which are within 1 km) using wireless. This link should be able to give >=100Mbps.
As we already have 3500/1130 APs, can a wireless bridge be established using them which can also give >=100Mbps? Can this be done using a WLC based solution? What I mean is: Do I need to have a standalone AP solution or can it be done while both the APs register to WLC? What are the AP models/antennas that can meet my requirement?
Vista 64 Intel Pro 1000 with latest driver Here is a shot of the lagometer in COD Black Ops when all is good. I used to see this with my old WRT54GS and connected at 100Mbps Full Duplex or Half Duplex and I currently see this when connected through the E4200 at 100Mbps full or half duplex AND when connected via Gigabit via one of the 4 ports on the back of my cable modem, a Motorola SBG6580 [URL] This next screen capture is what happens when I try to connect via Gigabit thru the E4200. It either starts out like this right away or within 30 seconds to a minute this will start to occur. I believe the red spikes indicate packet loss. [URL]
View 8 Replies View RelatedThe WS-X68xx series line card has a fabric of 40Gbps and a 16 Port 10GE has a 4:1 oversubscription rate. The WS-X6908-10G has a fabric speed of 80Gbps and has a 1:1 oversubscription rate.
If I mixed the 68xx and 69xx series line card, do I get 80Gbps for the 6900x and 40gbps for the 68xx line card? Or would the 69xx series line card be downgraded to 40Gbps?
From my understanding, the 68xx series has a DFC card and thus the fabric speed operates independently.
my office is looking in ordering a HWIC-1FE to supply our cisco 1841 router with a second ISP connection. i wanted to find out if this card support load balancing and fail over? not sure if fail over is the right terminology so ill explain, i need it so that if one ISP connection goes down (as it does often) it fails over to the second ISP.

View 4 Replies View RelatedVirgin Media just upgraded my broadband to 100mbps. My main PC is in a place where unfortunately I cannot hard wire it to ethernet, and also the wifi signal is a bit rubbish - therefore I have been using D-Link Powerline AV Homeplugs DHP-307 200Mbps (N.B. I am fully aware that 200mbps doesn't really mean that through homeplugs, please read on)
Ages ago when my I first set this up my connection speed from Virgin Media was 50mbps and, after installing, I tested it a few times and got about 45mbps, which I was happy with.
However, due to the upgrade I thought I would test it again, and now I'm only gettin about 20-25Mbps. I did some diagnistic checks as follows:
A laptop plugged directly into my router via ethernet got 97 Mbps My laptop sitting next to my PC connected via wifi got 54 Mbps My PC connected via wifi with the ethernet/homeplug disconnected got 26 Mbps (I think my wireless card in the PC and the aeriel are both a bit rubbish though anyway)My PC connected via ethernet homeplug with no wifi got 23 Mbps
What I don't understand is:
1 - In the configuration utility for the homeplugs it says that the link speed for this plug is 96 Mbps, so how come that's not coming through?
2 - Why would it have one time been higher and now not? If it wasn't for point 1 above I might put it down to interference in the elecrical circuits, but I thought that's what the link speed would be showing me
I guess the best option would be to try and get VM to install a proper ethernet port in my study, however I can't imagine how they would do this without running cables through the house, which I don't want, so I'm trying to exhaust other options. I'm happy to ditch the homeplugs if there is something better.
Can you connect a 10/100mbps media converter to an oc-3 connection?

View 3 Replies View RelatedIt seems that Cisco mentioned, in their data sheet of 2921 ISR, that it can support up to 50Mbps. However, from Google search, it says 2921 can handle 100Mbps with no problem.I am planning on getting 2921 ISR in small office where only ~10 people are connected to it. And we do have two different line of 100Mbps ISP internet line and wish to share them in the office.I am confused why ~$2k router can not support 100Mbps where ~$100 consumer routhers like Linksys has no problem with handling that speed. The reason why I am planning on 2921 is the rich feature like Voip solution (CME) it offeres. I have several remote offices that needs to be connected with Voip phones. and I could go with UC500 series but it seems to me UC500 does not support IP Phone 9900 series.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a PC with a Realtek onboard Ethernet controller, running Windows XP. It's connected to an Asus RT-n16 router loaded with TomatoUSB, via a Cat5e cable. When I set it up a month or two ago, I confirmed that I was getting a Gigabit connection to it--the little network connection icon in the Windows XP taskbar indicated "1.0 Gbps." All well and good. I just happened to check it today, and it now says "100Mbps." Nothing, as far as I know, has changed to the configuration. I went into the Device Manager, and saw that under the driver settings, in "Speed", it was set to "Auto-Negotiate." When I tried setting that to "1.0 Gbps" instead, the network connection icon in XP's taskbar once again indicated "1.0Gbps." As an experiment, I then changed it back to Auto-Negotiate, and once again the taskbar icon read "100Mbps."So I guess I have two questions. 1) Should I leave the driver setting on 1Gbps rather than Auto-Negotiate? (2) Why might the speed have switched from 1Gbps to 100Mbps over the past month if nothing's changed?
