Linksys Wireless Router :: New MBP Cannot Connect To DPC3925
May 13, 2012I recently got an MBP, while I tried connecting it to the wi-fi connection, I keep getting the "invalid password" prompter. I tried connecting my other mac computer and Iphone to the connection and it works. I also tried connecting via ethernet as well, it worked as well. I have been trying to call the CISCO number to no avail, and it is really frustrating to be paying premium for the connection, I don't feel supported at all.

Apr 16, 2012have received an Cisco Model DPC3925 modem/router from UPC (provider in the Netherlands) and they allow me to have 120Mbit connection, but with my own WIFI Adapter I only received between the 40Mbit/60Mbit speed. My question is the following; Wich WIFI adapter is the best adapter for my Cisco Model DPC3925 modem/router?The distance between the modem/router and my pc is not that much. And when I use an cable the connection is between the 90Mbit/110Mbit. The WIFI adapter that I now use is the: TP-Link TL-WN881ND. I was thinking to buy a Linksys AE1200, but I dont know if that adapter is much better then I already have.

Â Using the access restriction page in the manage/setup of the router seems to not work well. Â The system does recognize the MAC address of the Ipod but setting times to allow or deny gives me odd results. Â The allow button actually denies use for one thing. Â Secondly, the deny time ends, but the Ipod still cannot connect sometimes. Â It is like the system gets stuck in deny. Â I have tested using a random 5 minute deny time period, yet the Ipod is denied all times. Â The system is consistent in denying the Ipod (actually using the allow button) but not on the times.

I'm having a problem with certain stations being used for personal networking, shopping, etc. during business hours. Consequently I would like to limit internet access on these stations. However, some internet access is required because of online database software that's an integral part of our business. I've been reading in the Administration Guide about URL Blocking. Would it be possible to give static IPs to certain stations and then limit their internet access to 1 or 2 specific websites?

Linksys Wireless Router :: E1000 - Limit Wan Port To 10mbps?
Nov 3, 2012I have a 9-year old PPPoE DSL modem at home whose ethernet port is only 10mbps. For some reason I am unable to establish PPPoE connection on my E1000 when connected to this modem (PPPoE login is correct, as it works with a different router when connected to the same modem). Someone suggested that the problem may be that the DSL modem is unable to negotiate Ethernet connection because E1000's WAN port is 10/100mbps (autosensing failing?). The suggestion was to manually set the router's WAN port to 10mbps. Is there such a switch somewhere on the E1000 - I cannot find it in web admin console anywhere?

I have also tried to reset the router without any luck. I know it its not the modem that is causing the problem because I'm wired to it now.On the E2000 every light is blinking as it should be (hence the FAQ) so it indicates that there might be a problem with the connection between the router and the computer (tested on other computers too without success).

Oct 24, 2011I've recently bought a WRT54GL router, and I`m having some problems with it. The original firmware the router came with had a bug, and couldn`t even connect to a PPPOE network. I downloaded the latest firmware version for this model (4.30.14 build 5, Oct. 26, 2009). Now it can connect to PPPOE but the broadband speed is limited to ~ 30Mbits/s. My ISP normally provides a download speed up to 80-90MBits/s, and if I bypass the router, and connect the internet cable directly to my PC, it works.

The QoS is disabled, so this can`t be the problem, but I searched the internet, and I found that it can be because the router`s CPU is too slow and can`t handle connections up to 80-90Mbit/s download speed, but this sounds a little bit weird to me.Did any of you gus run into this problem? Is it a hardware problem, or a software one? Maybe there`s something I need to set up in the admin interface?

Sep 13, 2012I am trying to get up an point to point VPN between a Cisco DPC3925 and a netscreen 5GT Firewall I have configured up everything as i think it should, i belive the phase one and phase two are both configured ok, if i change the phase one settings to something different then i will get a different error on the cisco I am using Auto Ike, with a shared key and PFS - both phase one and phase two are set the same at both ends cisco / netscreen?When I try to connect, the VPN log on the CISCO shows the below, but on the netscreen it thinks that phase one Negotiations are complete (in logs etc) The netscreen seems to be much more configurable than the CISCO, so i guess i need to change something on that, what the cisco is expecting to receive ftom the netscreen that its not getting from the logs, I have chaged the external IP's in this log?Â

Feb 3, 2013Linksys Wireless router connected but no access to the internet. I do not have a modem in my flat from ISP, only a cable, since the internet is set for every apartment in the building. I have a username and password that I use to connect. There is no problem connecting with the cable. I set up by Belkin wireless router and I'm actually connected to internet wireless but it only works if I also enable the primary ISP connection on my computer so my laptop is connected to internet without a cable. But this weird connection does not allow me to connect my phone to wireless or any other computer. Also the router settings site says not connected to internet and the internet light on Belkin is off.I have a Slovenian ISP -Amis, cable connection and Belkin Wireless modem, Avira Free antivirus.

It worked fine until one day, without any change at all, it simply stoped working. I mean, I can still connect through my wifi laptop connection (it shows connected to my router and says that I have an excelent signal). But, I can't reach the internet. But, If I unplug the internet cable, and plug it in my laptop, the connection works fine. A friend told me that this could be caused intentionally by the internet provider, that they would block my signal to avoid me using a wireless router, trying to force consumers to sign their own wireless service. Thus, by this friend advice, I've cloned my laptop's MAC address to the router. It didn't work either.

Connecting WAN on the E4200 to the LAN on the v2 does not work either.My goal here is to have my main router on 192.168.1.1 and the AP on 192.168.1.2 where I can access the admin settings for both routers in case I need to make changes.

It shows that my Internet is connected, but it shows "No Network Access". I had gotten on fine at first, then I went to the 192.168.1.1 site to configure my data. I changed my time zone and then went to secure my connection. I cannot remember the exact option I chose, but I think it was something like WAP2 Personal. As soon as I selected that the screen froze and I can no longer access that site or get online through the router.

Dec 7, 2012I tried setting up a home network with my above Linksys router and can't connect to the internet now. I have the ethernet cable from my DSL Modem hooked into the ethernet port on the back of the Router. In port one, I have a cable which attaches directly to my laptop as I was advised to use a cable for initial setup of my home wireless network. I was able to get into the router to set all the passphrases and wireless security settings, etc. My ISP is PPPoe and I have entered both the UserId and Password that my ISP provided. However, upon clicking on the wireless icon, my system states I am connected but the status screen shows "No internet access". I have no problem connecting to the Internet when the cable runs from my DSL modem into my computer, so it's something to do with the router blocking it now.

My ISP does not support my Linksys router, of course, and they tell me I need to contact the manufacturer telling me the router needs to be set up as a 'bridge" ??? There is no mention of anything like this in the manual and I do not know if there is a setting on the router that is somehow blocking my being able to get an internet connection. This is all still with cables attached. Again, I seem to be able to 'connect' to the wireless network but I now cannot get to the Internet thru the router...

Oct 28, 2011I have a WRT54G2 router and when I try to connect to the internet, both wired and wirelessly, my network icon gives me a "No Internet Access" yellow sign icon. I have successfully connected to the internet by directly connecting to the modem and I have connected to other wireless networks using this computer so I have pretty much narrowed the problem down to the router. I have already perform a firmware upgrade to the latest version and did a hard reset of the router and setting it back up, to no avail. One problem I ran into while I was setting up though was that I can't even set it up with the WiFi-protected setup so I had to set up the password and stuff manually, as I have always done successfully in the past. I've never had a problem with this router in the past and so I think this router may be due for a replacement. I have contacted support through live chat and all the options they're giving me is either pay $25 to talk to someone about this or go through troubleshoot section.
