I am having an issue with my wireless router. I have a Wireless N Router WRT120, Windows XP, SSID enabled, authentication in the network properties tab disabled and WEP security. There is a yellow error on my network connection icon indicating that there is limited or no connectivity.

There is Reach ability between NMS server and switch but snmp string is not validating.
In our environment we've got a Cisco ACS-Server providing Tacacs+ (mainly for access to routers/switches) and Radius (for 802.1x-validating end hosts) services.
Aside from our IOS-based switches we've got a SG200-18 acting as a workgroup switch.
I'd like to set up user authentication on the SG200 (i.e. authentication of users accessing the switch) as well as 802.1x validation of end hosts via our existing Cisco ACS 5.x.
Unfortunately the docs for the SG200 in the chapter "Configuring RADIUS Parameters" only mentions "...For the RADIUS server to grant access to the web-based switch configuration utility, the RADIUS server must return cisco-avpair = shell:priv-lvl=15.... - no examples etc.
Since the WEB-based SG200-interface is absolutely new to me I'm looking for some hints/examples on how to set up the Cisco ACS Radius Server in order to interact with the SG200.
I have a linksys system WRT54G at home. I had no problems with the Linksys router until about a month ago when I decided to make it a secure network. I run three computers of the wireless router (1 desktp and 2 laptops) Since making the wireless network secure I can not connect with my business laptop IBM Thinkpad X40, but thother e computers work just fine.

I've tried two diff computers and neither will connect, each giving different error messages. The work laptop I have right now will hook up to an unsecured network and will ask me for a network key for other detected secured networks, but tells me to refresh and search for networks again when I try to hook up to my network. My personal laptop hooks up to the internet just fine.

Here's the thing: we have a laptop that has been humming perfectly along for more that 12 years because we have never let it be touched by the internet. It has built in wi-fi, but we've never connected it. It has no viruses, no Microsoft creep, we've never had to purchase a virus software update and it has outlasted every piece of computer equipment we've ever owned. We'd like to keep it that way!
But now that the wireless printer is working beautifully, we want to know if there's a way to send the laptop through the router to the wireless printer, but not expose it to the internet. Is that possible?
Just installed linksys wrt320n. Desktop and one laptop (wireless) connect. Both windows 7. A second laptop (Vista) errors out with message "the selected data rate is not correct". This laptop sees the router (since I see the router name and it validates the passphrase) but I cannot ping the router. I saw two messages on this site suggesting to enable WMM and use security WPA2. I have verified that both of these are so set.

Okay, everything is working fine until I unplug the ethernet cable and try to go wireless. Will not connect to my network. I am also having this problem with all my other devices.
I had everything running fine on a WRT54G, I just wanted to try out the WRT102N. I did change the SSID name form what I was using on the WRT54G.
I install the E2500 router with my modem. it works fine with other compaq desktop and gateway laptop. But the HP Pavilion dv6910 can not get online. I try my hp laptop at starbuck shop, and it work fine.

It sees it and shows that there is a strong signal but sometime it will connect other times not. My laptop has no problem connecting to other wirelss routers. And my other devices have no problem connecting to our router. I've reset the router several times and changed the router to no password or security of any sorts. How can I get my Laptop to connect to my router?? I feel like it is a setting issue between the Router and the laptop. Is there a way I can erase the history of the router from the laptop and start fresh?? Like I've said I have reset the router several times. Does it have to do with my firewall?? It's just frustrating that my laptop can connect to anything but this Router. And my other devices like our blue-ray and Wii can connect to the router without problems so why can't my laptop and router connect to each other?

I used to have only 1 device (laptop) using wi-fi and desktop connected with ethernet as a second device. It worked just fine. Recently I added 2 wireless devices : apple tv and ipad 2. I can access wireless network only with one of them being “on” at the time (e.g. apple tv works when ipad and laptop don't use wi-fi. As soon as I connect another device router stops working (i'm loosing connection for wi-fi and ethernet) and I don't have internet access until I reboot router. (it happened only once for short period of time – about 40 min.- that I was able to connect to wi-fi with 2 devices. After that it never happened again). I'm not sure if I need newer router or I can still make it work with wrt 110.

But now my laptop that connects to it by WIFI is getting these hiccups(what I call them), where it connects fine for a hour or 2. I have a linksys WRT54GH wireless router running firmware v1.0.01 build 001.It's setup with DHCP.My desktop computer is connected to the router via cable.I also access the connection using my laptop, via wireless.The problem is that after I start using the desktop (wired connection), I can't connect from the laptop using wireless. View 6 Replies View RelatedA couple nights ago, my wireless router (Linksys BEFW11S4 ver4) just stopped letting me connect to the internet. All the lights were still flashing as they should, I could still go to the setup page, I just could not connect to the internet, both through wired and wireless. I could connect straight through the modem though.
So I decided that since the router was probably over a decade old that maybe it was just its time, and I bought a new one (E1000). I connected it, and still could not connect to the internet. I then did some internet searching and found this [URL] and I followed what was mentioned in post 10 (MAC address clone and changing local IP). Now I can connect through the wired connection and I rejoiced thinking I solved it.
Then I checked my laptop and it won't even connect to the router. It sees the router, but when I ask it to connect, it just says it can't. I decided I was too exhausted to try searching and fixing it on my own and if I tried I'd just end up breaking something out of frustration.
My WRT120N drops signal to Laptop occasionally and I do not understand why. I tried to update the firmware, version 1.0 to 1.0.04, is that a newer version? My next step is to try to update the drivers in the laptop. The dropped signal seems random and only happens with the laptop. Other devices connected work fine.
