Linksys Wireless Router :: E1000 Can't Forward A Port
May 15, 2013
I have my router set up and life was good. i now want to forward a port. i go into apllications/gaming put the application name, the port i want to forward and click enable. Save changes and i get a changes save message. When the browser goes back to the applications/gaming screen no port shows as being forwarded. If i go to canyouseemenow.org the port shows as being closed.
I have a westell 7500 with fairpoint service hooked up to my DSL line. I have disabled woreless on the westell. I then have a linksys e-1000 connected to the westell 7500. I have one wired computer on that network, my imac/game server, my main PC, my wii and an ipod touch connected connected to the linksys e-1000 wirelessly. I want to forward port 25565 through these routers to my imac. How can I do this? I have tried portforward.com, and a million other things.
Windows 7 64 bit / Linksys EA3500 / (2) FosCam F18910W IP Camera’s I just installed a new EA3500. (Should I have purchased the 4500)?I need to set up port forwarding to enable wireless use of the IP cams with my iPhone. I had this all set using my former router, but it died.how to to port forward this Linksys EA3500?
Some routers are able to forward to broadcast directly by sending a port to 192.168.1.255, other's I've been able to trick by forwarding to 192.168.1.254 and then editing the arp table with 192.168.1.254 <-> ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff. Is there any way I can edit the arp table of the E4200? Is there a way to telnet in or get a console connection?
I encounter a problem setting up port 80 forwarding on WRT54g router.
- Numericable modem
- WRT54G router : portforwarding configured, accepting anonymous internet traffic, no DMZ, no port-triggering... in fact everything is fine except for ports 80/443
- Linux Ubuntu server + Apache2 listening *:80 and/or *:15001
1/ Situation 1: Apache listening on server's *:15001
-> Accessing from Internet (outside LAN) works very fine.
-> Portforwarding of router:15001 to server:15001 (TCP) works fine.
2/ Situation 2: Apache listening on server *:80
-> Accessing from Internet (outside LAN) FAILS.
-> Portforwarding of router:80 to server:80 (TCP) doesn't work. Diagnostic using the client machine's firewall tool showed the request doesn't get any return... no traffic back at all.
The system being fully operational when using port:15001 shows the problem does not come from server configuration.I still have to try a bypass of my router by plugging the modem directly on the server eth card.
-> If that works it would definitely prove the problem comes from the router, precisely the portforwarding feature as applied to port:80.
My guess is the following:
- As WRT54g router's remote administration interface is precisely set to listen 80/443 ports.
- As I still did not disable remote administration as I need it, but I will come to such extremities (very soon in fact as despair is gaining me
- Looks like WRT54g is unable to forward port 80 as this is it's remote administration port. You can set it up, but it just won't work, and there's no warning
- Disable remote administration? (will it work ? cause I would not risk to disable it for nothing...)
- Have remote administration litening on different ports than 80/443?
- Is my diagnostic correct ? (at least, does it seems to be...)
- (shall I get another device? Update to alternative firmware project?)
PS : I could be asked for ifconfig/netstats/hdw-fmw version, I would post later as I do not have access now.Looks like to me it is recurrent issue on WRT54g (maybe I'm wrong and just an **bleep** in LAN/WAN configuration which is highly possible)
I am trying to set up a web server behind WRT55AG router. I have read many forums where people are having the same problem, but none explain how to fix issue. The router will not forward any port to the server. Any attempt to access the server from outside my local network just brings me to the login screen of the router. I have tried port forwarding port 80 and 10080 and both do the same thing. Also, I have the firewall, remote management, and UPnP turned off
I'm using Cisco Connect Cloud to connect to my E4200 router. I wish to open my NAT type as currently its moderate on all games.Where the hell is the area to add the port ranges?? Is it even an option on the new connect cloud? If it is, it doesn't make it very easy to find. Would be allot easier if you had a tab/app for "Gaming/Applications" like you did previously.
A while back, I had my own minecraft server running. I had everything working and it was flawless. Then for some reason it just stopped working. I was Unable to open ANY PORTS. I did happen to try 65 - 110 and 254 - 210, as well as 12, 212 and 122. I dopnt know what happened but i have been searching everywhere on the internet (roughly 3 months)
I think i have tried everything i could think of to forward port 5900 with no luck. iIhave e4200. it is for RealVNC application. I followed steps from here: i have windows 7 and nortonn internet security. i disabled the firewall and added a rule to forward port 5900 in windows but did not work either.
I've been configured my device to forward FTP service to my server, however, I can't access this service outside from my network. I used Single Port Forward and not worked, after, I've used Port Range Forwarding starting in 20 to 21 and not work again.I've sniffed my computer and I've found just 3 outsides packages without response.I've tried with directly IP ADDR and DYNDNS ADDR, but neither one or other worked.
Is it possible to create a service which will forward public port 9010 to an internal IP address with port 23?First of all, I do not like to open the public Telnet port to the inside so I would use another public port and second my ISP does not allow some public ports beneath port 80?
Installed my new EA4500 and trying to access my PC from internet (remote desktop) in order to do so I need to forward the TCP port 3389. In the old web admin page this option was easy to find and change. with the new cloud connect I can't find it. how do Ienable port forwarding on the EA4500?
i am trying to port forward my router so that i can run a minecraft server. When I put in th port number and save the changes, it brings me to a screen that says my changes have been saved yet when i go back to the page they haven't. I have tried deleting the cookies on my browser, using another browser, using another computer, and hard resetting the router for ten seconds. None of this works.
I have a 9-year old PPPoE DSL modem at home whose ethernet port is only 10mbps. For some reason I am unable to establish PPPoE connection on my E1000 when connected to this modem (PPPoE login is correct, as it works with a different router when connected to the same modem). Someone suggested that the problem may be that the DSL modem is unable to negotiate Ethernet connection because E1000's WAN port is 10/100mbps (autosensing failing?). The suggestion was to manually set the router's WAN port to 10mbps. Is there such a switch somewhere on the E1000 - I cannot find it in web admin console anywhere?
Any other guesses as to why the router and the modem cannot connect?
FWIW, the dsl modem is a SpeedStream 5360 E1000 hardware v 2.1; firmware 2.1.02
I am having a NAT issue with my two xboxes. The router is an e1000 v2.1 firmware 2.1.02. One xbox is wired into the router and the other has a wireless adapter. The wireless xbox gets open nat automatically, while the wired one's nat is strict. If i mess with DMZ and turn UPnP off i can get the wired to be open but the wireless one to be strict. Also port forwarding does not seem to work because only one or the other xboxes will get an open NAT. I do have the the correct ports in the port triggering section set to on but that does not seem like it works.
i Have a router called Linksys BEFSR41v3 i need to port forward a port but it just wont open i loggerd in on my router using 192.168.1.1 after i click applications & gaming started the port on 100 and ended on 100 used ipconfig in cmd to find me ipv4 adres and putted in ip adress box also both protocol are on and i clicked the enabled function also i tried also got a static ip i used canyouseeme.org to cheak if my port is open it still says its not open.
I attached an Iomego Home Media network hard drive to my Linksys E3000 router (via ethernet cable). Before setting up the remote access on the Iomega, I forwarded the ports that it wanted (443 and 21) to the static IP of the Iomega. I checked to see that they were open using yougetsignal.com and they were both open. After setting up the remote access on the Iomega, the 443 port closed and I cant even get into the "manage storage device" page for the Iomega. Iomega uses TZo for the domain names. They tell me that the association is made between the name and my public IP address. My router is out of warranty since Sept, so Linksys wont give me the time of day. I contacted my ISP and while they block a couple of ports, 443 is not one of them.I've installed the latest firmware (1.0.04 - Build 6). Reset and rebooted numerous times, Port 443 remains closed.
BEFSR81 will not save port forward info. I am trying to setup port forwarding for xbox (53, 80, 88, 1863, 3074), I click on enable to the far right and then click save at the bottom. It says settings are succeful, will return in 5 seconds. When it returns everything is zeroed out.
I'm trying to open ports 2934 and 2935 UDP on my Linksys E1000 router in order to play Falcon 4: Allied Force multiplayer but it's not working.I've correctly created a static IP, and logged in to the E1000's page. Under "Applications & Gaming", and then under "Port Range Forwarding" I entered values thus:
Region : Italy Model : TD-W8968 Hardware Version : V1 Firmwae Version : latest ISP : telecom italia business on ipatm

I am trying to forward a port so i can connect to my computer because i want to stream a radio station from computer to my phone.I'm trying to forward port 88 on my Linksys WRT54G Version 6.I tried that but Boardwave audio streaming server still says it's not open! Here are some pictures: I'm using Windows XP Professional 32-Bit
over my port forward GUI in my new linksys x3000. When I try to save any new port forward rules (new or using predefined), the setting are not saved when I get back to the configuration screen again. Nothing seems to get configured.
Have just uppgraded firmware to v1.0.01, but no difference.
I'm trying to forward ports for game connections. For this particular game, I'm trying to forward port 7777My ports aren't forwarding according to: Open Port Check Tool - Test Port Forwarding on Your Router and Open Port Check Tool[CODE]
