Netgear N150 Wireless ADSL2+ Modem Router(DGN1000) - Get Internet On More Than One Computer At A Time?

I have a Netgear N150 Wireless ADSL2+ Modem Router(DGN1000) which i need to connect for wireless access..My internet connection is a wireless one(antenna connected on roof) connection available to only one computer with an RJ45 LAN.Is it possible for me to connect the router to this LAN cable and get internet on more than one computer at a time?? I have just picked up an ADSL Netgear N150 DGN1000 router as my old router (just some branded old thing from my ISP has started playing up a bit due to age more than anything else) but for some reason it is not seeing my internet connection at all.I've reset it factory default twice and connect to it wirelessly just fine, including accessing the router's setup pages and whatnot. I was going to update the firmware from in there.. but that needs the connection to the internet as well.
My ISP is BE Unlimited (UK ISP) and their old branded modem connects again immediately when I plug that back in so I know it's nothing to do with any of the cables or filters, etc.One thing I have noticed is that on the box for the new router it does say Orange Retail (another UK ISP) on one of the barcodes but the router itself isn't branded, so I don't see this could be a problem but figured it was woth mentioning.

I bought my dad a Netgear N150 DGN1000 Wireless ADSL Router to replace his D-link router which kept dropping the wireless signal. I have established a wired connection and my ipad, iphone and his old laptop connect wirelessy to it without any problems but I just cannot work out why his laptop won't connect to the internet.It recognises the wireless signal and it says its connected and that the signal is excellent but when I try to go on the web or check emails it just won't work.I've tried deleting all his wireless networks and starting from scratch but don't know what else to tryHis PC is running windows Vista

basically we got sent this new router from Orange (our ISP) and we have had problems with it for the last week. The router model is the Netgear N150 DGN1000. Sometimes I connect it will be absolutely fine, but then the next time I log onto my laptop it can't identify the network, it says connected but doesn't have the globe in the bottom right hand corner of my screen. Then we have to reset the router a few times everytime until it recognises it, even though the settings are saved when we connected last time. It is the same with my sisters laptop. We both have Atheros network adapters so that may be a compatability issue with the router, but my brother connects fine on his everytime. A similar problem occurs with modern warfare 3 on my ps3, it won't let me sign in to playstation network half the time and keeps saying NAT type failed, even though NAT is enabled on my router. get this problem sorted and to get a consistent network connection that connects every time that would be great. We changed the security type to WEP on it a few days ago from WPA and that meant we could sign into modern warfare 3 some of the time rather than never, but we are still having issues.

last Monday night, out internet just stopped working completely. We had an older Livebox (Inventel) and after phoning tech support, we were told it was a problem with the router. The problem was with the "@" symbol flashing about once a second. Anyway, they sent over a new router. This was the netgear1000. We set it up and the Internet light stayed red - all the other lights that are meant to be green are green.. We checked the details against what was on the personal detail card they sent over with the router and all of that was correct. It even shows the upload and download speed even though we cannot connect to the internet. When I check the status, it states that the LCP is ready to come up or something along those lines and that the CHAP authentication failed. I phoned them up again and they couldn't solve the problem so it's being moved up to a different department apparently. Anyway, I don't get how it can be an error with the username and password if my old router just stopped working with nothing being changed. The phone line is fine and the tech guy even changed our password.

Nearly every morning/evening I have to re-boot my router to get internet access. Netgear N300 ADSL2+ modem router Model DGN 2200 (had about a year), Windows 7 64bit Home premium Laptop connected wirelessly, Windows 7 64Bit Home Premium desktop connected by LAN cable. ISP BT Internet. Until recently this set up has been working OK with occasional loss of interent access and need to re-boot router. The internet light has been showing red on those occasions. Over the last two weeks I have found that when I turn one of computers on although all lights on router are green I have no internet access. I have to re-boot, then all is OK until the next day when I have to re-boot again. My phone line appears OK with no noise on line, no reported problems on BT broadband staus. The thing that puzzles me is that the lights are all green on the router yet my networking icon on the pc shows an exclammation mark and 'no internet access' and I do not have access to net.The wireless connection is OK with excellent strength.

For some reason I cannot ping or FTP on a specific computer on my home network. All other computers work fine and the specific computer works fine on other networks. But the combination of this computer and my home network it doesn't like.
I have disabled both windows firewall and my virus software but nothing seems to work. It seems to be a timeout issue as FTP and ping sometimes does work but FTP is increadibly slow when it works and the ping time is very high 670ms and above. I am running windows 7 and my router is a netgear n150

I'm running Arch Linux on an Acer laptop and my wirless connection doesn't stay up. After a while it disconnects, and when I try to reconnect I get stuck with a "Waiting for authorization" message. I have to retry several times before getting the connection stay up for few minutes. This happens with both networkmanager and wicd. The strange thing is that the iMac that sits next to the laptop connects fine, and when I use my laptop within the university wireless network it works normally.

how to properly configure 2 different hardware devices to extend the current wifi signal of my home network.I'm using a Motorola SBG6580 DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem as my primary access point (AP) and a Netgear N300 DGN2200v1 ADSL2+ modem router which will function "behind" the SBG6580 in repeater mode. I previously had DSL for my internet connectivity but recently switched to broadband cable for faster speeds.Due to the layout of my home, I cannot physically connect the Netgear router to the Motorola modem via ethernet cable and need both devices to communicate wirelessly. I have already done extensive reading on this subject and best practices suggest that, whenever possible, both units should be the same brand/manufacturer. The Netgear appliance does have the capability of being configured as a repeater so if I don't have to buy a "network extender" that would be my preference.I understand that both units must be configured to have the same SSID, subnet, wireless channel and security encryption. In repeater mode the Netgear router can't be configured to use WPA2-PSK so I need to use WEP instead.

I've got a windows server 2003 machine which access internet over a Netgear N150 router also I've got an static IP, now internet is working properly even I can ping my machine from a remote machine.Here starts the real problem, I've shared few folders which I can't access from any remote machine not in my LAN.Although I could access my server through remote desktop and everything else is working fine, I've opened port 445 on router even that didn't worked also Windows firewall is OFF.Now when I try to browse my server through \myserverip it shows me a blank window but when I tried to access it like:
\myserveripsharedfolder it gives me error which reads something like
"File and printer sharing seems online but server is not responding on port 445."

I'll try and keep this brief, we were having problems with our netgear router (DGN1000) mainly with connection when online gaming with PS3, generally poor connection - so purchased a TP-Link router (TD-W8960N). We could usually access the netgear wirelessly on our laptops Dell and Acer Aspire 4820T (both Windows 7) without any problems and were still doing so last night. However hubby attempted to install the new router last night and all seemed to go fine but after installing we couldn't connect to the wireless network through laptops, iphone ps3 etc - even though we could see the network with excellent strength, after hours of trying called TP-Link they went through everything they could think of and still no joy. Gave up in the end and went to reinstall the netgear Router and now we have the same problem with this router, even though earlier in the night it wasn't a problem - we deleted the previous networks so there was nothing stored in memory & tried everything we can think of (although neither of us are brilliant with IT we do usually get by).We even set up an unsecured wireless network (on both routers) and still couldn't connect?

When I start up my computer I cannot get an Internet connection. To get a connection I have to go into Control Panel, open Device Manager, click on Network adapters, which opens Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller. I uninstall the Controller, restart and I then get an Internet connection. The Realtek controller then re-installs itself. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium operating system on my desktop. I am wired through a Dynalink RTA 1320 Rev 2 ADSL2+ Modem Router (provided and checked by my ISP). I have a Netgear Wireless N Router WNR 2000 for wireless connection to my laptop which has a Vista operating system. I have no connectivity problems to the laptop. I have had the connections checked by my ISP and the Netgear router by Netgear. They have both confirmed that there is connectivity to the desk top and the laptop and that the connections are working. Both have said that there is an issue with the operating system. I have got all the latest drivers installed and I get the message "Best driver software for your device is already installed".

Have two other computers that connect with ease to the Netgear wireless router, but the new computer will not access the internet. I have been searching for answers and have tried about everything I can find nuder similar posts, but I still have not internet access. At varying times, I have had "internet access", but no actual ability to load websites. Right now, I do not even have access. Im having a horrible problem with my internet connection where I cannot use any kind of download site such as filefront or anything really.The main problem is once a download gets going (any filesize above 1MB) the connection will stall out and stop downloading until the server says cannot download or if available, i pause and start the download again. Its very frustrating having to babysit downloads or be unable to even complete one ,My router is a netgear N150 WNR 1000.

I have a Netgear modem/router [DGN1000] (192.168.0.x) that serves as a the router for network 1 and also as the internet gateway. I have a Cisco [E4200] (192.168.1.x) router connected to the Netgear modem via the WAN port on the Cisco. This serves as the router for network 2.
DHCP is turned on for both routers. I can access all devices on network 1 using any device o network 2 including the Netgear modem configuration page, but I cant access any device on network 2 from network 1. Is it possible to have access to devices from both networks? [URL]

Every day for the past week my Internet access goes down. I have a netgear router connected to Comcast modem. I have to reset the modem then the router constantly and it gets irritating. I called comcast and they say reset them. But why should I have to constantly reset.... Sometimes I just ignore it and it comes back up later... what is going on??

I have a DVR connected to CCTV cameras that I would like to connect to my computer via Ethernet and a Netgear N150 router which also handles my broadband.
A program called VideoViewer is installed on the computer which works with the DVR to view images on the computer via ethernet.
Funny thing is that it works with a Zoom router, but not the Netgear There must be settings on the Netgear that needs changing

I bought yesterday a wireless modem/router and Tp-Link Adsl2+ N300 Modem Router Td-W8960n.I have 2 laptop computers at home.The first issue I have is that with one of the laptops (quite old - Acer Aspire 2420-2579 with Windows Vista Basic Service Pack 1) I can not connect (wireless) to the internet. It says local access only. However in other countries (IM in NZ) it does connect to internet. It does work when I use an Ethernet cable between my router and the laptop. The second issue is with my other laptop. A HP Pavillion DV-4 windows vista home premium service pack 2. I manage to get wireless access to the internet but every couple of minutes the connections drops and starts again by itself�. After 1-2 min approx�. it is getting pretty annoying!I don�t think it is the routher as I also have an XBOX 360 connectet to the internet usign the same device and works absolutely fine!

One of my laptops is having a connection problem. I have 3 other laptops that can connect perfectly with my router, and normally there's only 1 laptop that is connected to my router. The laptop with the slow connection (takes 5 HOURS to load a website, sometimes will not even load), i re-installed the OS, and installed all the drivers needed, and it still wont work. it shows strong connection to me, and im sure the password for the router is right. below is the ipconfig/all information. Having this problem for 2+ weeks now!!! I think this problem started when i restored my router to factory setting, my router is Netgear WGR614v6.

when I try to connect a laptop to the wi fi it won't connect because the connection has changed from home network to public and sometimes unidentified network . I can get it connected by momentarily unplugging the router and rebooting it , then pressing connect button and it will revert to home network and things are ok . It is a netgear DGN1000 and I tried another router same make and model, same problem. I use an ethernet cable on my desktop no problems.there's 3 laptops come in to occasional use and it's happened to them all . My early attempt was microsoft's fix for sticking in public mode . It is windows 7 pro on the laptops , ultimate on desktop?

I have a network adapter on the desktop and although it DOES find my network, I cannot get it to connect to the internet.
