View 1 RepliesAfter adding Microsoft Windows 7 and thinking the system would work just fine, the error message we get says "no network adapter detected". We have an onboard Gigabit LAN network, but not sure if I also need some sort of network adapter to complete the set up.

I was able to connect to the internet for a week but after that, when i tried to connect again, it says that i do not have any network adapter and that i should install one. i tried to look at my device manager, there was no network adapter in my devices. i tried to install a realtek adapter but still nothing happened. i even tried reinstalling my os but it wont read by dvd. also, i have a laptop, but the internet connection is working properly there.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI could not boot the other day so I spent a few hour pulling everything out and checking memory components, etc.m taking the battery out finally fixed the boot issue but now there is no Internet or network detected or network adapter. It is not the router because pc in the other room is working fine on same connection. Mseems like a CMOS or bios issue. There was a message before boot about reverting to default bios settings. I can't update or remove driver because it is not detected and no Internet.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Notebook HP Pavillion DV6 3113sa with Windows 7 64-bit My Broadcom Bluetooth and Wireless Combo Card is not being detected. On device manager> Network adapters I cannot see my the wireless adapter. Realtek PCIe GBE Family controller is in the device manager though. Also I can access internet with an ethernt cable and my phone and other computer can detect my wireless router. The wireless light is also continually orange and will not change. So neither bluetooth or wireless is working. I have down loaded the 2 Broadcom drivers from the HP website but neither fix the problem. However the bluetooth driver says something like 'Driver failed to install because no bluetooth device was found'.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've got a bit of an issue. A friend of mine has recently gotten windows 7 installed into his desktop. When he tried to install the network adapter (wusb11 version 2.8), it installed. However, when we searched for it in the device manager, it did not appear. does Version 2.8 only cover up to Windows XP or is there software to make it work for Windows 7?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded my computer (not laptop) from Windows XP to Windows 7-32 bit. I redownloaded and installed Network Magic, Linksys Wireless Manager and my WUSB600N adapter properly (I hope). Now everything was working fine, I was able to get onto my network through the adapter but today I noticed that the Linksys Wireless Manager seemed to not connect to my network, instead my computer some how did it without the wireless manager. Now when I tried to connect to a network through the Wireless Manager it said Error: 211 and said My Adapter may not be installed properly and told me to remove the adapter and attach it back after 20 seconds. I tried that but again my computer connected to the network STILL through the computers own manager not through the Linksys Wireless Manager. That was still saying Error 211. So the problem really is that the Linksys Wireless Manager wont detect my adapter but my computer is still able to detect it and connect to my network.

a spare PC I have will not connect to the network via wireless, it is running XP Pro SP3, and is using a Xycel G-202 wireless adapter. It is seeing my Sky router, and trying to obtain an IP address, but failing every time.
I am using WPA-PSK and the key I am inputting is correct, my phone connects to the network with no problems.
I have had this problem now for a couple of weeks, can't seem to find a solution, even after trying all sorts of things I have seen on the web. I can not seem to get the wireless internet to work on my computer. The problem started a while ago and since then I've actually formatted my hard drive and reloaded Windows XP and everything else back onto my computer. I ahve tried connecting to the wireless at home and at work and neither is working. My computer can see the networks when but can not connect to them. I used to have no problem connecting to my home network, I have not ever connected tot he one at work, just thought I'd try it when I couldn't get it to work at home.
1. Updating my LAN driver (I've tried numerous ones and the one that works best is the one that came with my windows XP)
2. Ran both Spybot and AVG to check on spyware/malware/virus and there was not a single thing on either one.
3. Tried many combinations of setup configurations with my home wireless set up. It is a password protected hookup that I have never had problems with before. So in seeing several posts on here I have the following information from my CMD
C:>IPConfig/all
Windows IP Configuration
Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : gateway-ta06zkr
Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . :

Recently I dual-booted my PC from Windows XP(On which the LAN card was working and i was able to access the internet) to Windows 7.Then i formated the drive on which WinXP was installed. Sometime later i noticed that the LAN card (Atheros A8151 PCI-E Ethernet Controller) was not working i went into the adapter settings in network control in the control panel and there was no adapter. i checked the device manager and there was no option called NETWORK ADAPTERS.
View 14 Replies View RelatedWe a Q77 based Jetway JNF9E motherboard, and when we added a TP-Link PCIe network card it was not detected in device manager in windows XP. We tried a Dynamode card with a different chipset and that was also not detected. We then tried a PCIe Firewire card, and that was fine, indicating that the slot itself was OK.We then tried installing Windows 7-64, and that also failed to see either card. We updated the BIOS to the latest version, which had no effect. We then tried another PC with the same motherboard and that also showed the same problem. A USB network adaptor does work, but is not an ideal solution due to space contraints.

I'm having problems getting the WUSB54G v2 adapter work with the WRT160N router (firmware 2.0.03). I'm running Vista Home Premium SP1. My wireless network is not detected by the WUSB54G and is not on the list of wireless networks I can connect to. I'm also having trouble connecting to WUSB54GP ver 4. The network is detected, but I can't connect.
Change the Beacon Interval to 75
Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2304
Change the RTS Threshold to 2307
Now the WUSB54GP ver 4. is working perfectly, but the WUSB54G v2 still can't detect the network. I'm also running a PS3 and a laptop, which work perfectly with the WRT160N router. Also, the WUSB54G v2 system works just fine with my old router (WRTP54G).
LED is solid red (front) and solid blue (rear). try resetting thru the pinhole button but problem still the same. Camera not detected anymore on my network. I've try switching on and off, problem still there.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy wireless network card is not detected by the system and wont show up in device manager. the green light on the back of the card is still blinking, so it is getting power through the mobo. Wireless network card was working perfectly before swapping out my video card for a new 7850 and swapping out my RAM modules. The drivers are Up to date. I'm running windows 7 and the wireless network card is an atheros AR5005GS.
I don't understand why installing new RAM and a new video card would affect this?? I didn't touch that card, and have double checked it is still seated properly.
I have no other way currently to connect this computer to the Internet.
just brought this router model #wrt120n and can't get setup disk to install because it says i have no ethernet port
View 1 Replies View RelatedSince yesterday evening, my Toshiba Satellite Laptop (L505D-ES5025) hasn't been able to register my wireless network, though it registered it perfectly fine yesterday morning. I can only detect the local area connection, and can only connect to the internet via the ethernet cable (which is what I'm using right now).Even when I go to the "Change Adapter Settings" from Control Panel, it won't detect the wireless network that I use. The other computers/laptops in the house work, but this one can't regiester to it, even though it's the closest to the router. When I troubleshoot the problem, the only solution is to use the ethernet cable, but I can't depend on it since the whole point of using a wireless connection is to go wireless.I have tried the Control Panel solution of going to the device manager, but I can't find the wireless network from there. This Toshiba computer also doesn't have a physical WLAN button; rather hot keys are used (though when I use this, it doesn't anyways).I also tried to find the drivers for it to update, but those won't either update, or they do update but nothing happens. In other words, I can't do anything because my laptop can't find ANY networks whatsoever except for the one that is found after I connect it to the ethernet cable. My OS is Windows 7, 64-bit Home Premium.

I have a Netgear WNR612 wireless router, which worked fine for a few weeks. Then something happened and I can't keep the connection anymore. It happened right after I used iTunes to update my iPhone, perhaps a coincidence, but I'm mentioning that just in case. Internet still works fine with ethernet cable straight from the computer, only the wireless connection doesn't work. This happened about a month ago and I haven't been at home much to fix the problem. I have turned off and unplugged everything for several days at a time while gone. I get a Network Error message saying, Windows has detected an IP address conflict. I have tried restoring the router back to factory settings and reinstalling the wireless card. I have tried changing the IP address settings both in the Network and Sharing Center and the router admin page. What I think I should do is change the IP address in Command Prompt, but when I type "ipconfig /release", it says "No operation can be performed on Wireless Network Connection 2 while it has its media disconnected" and the same for Local Area Connection. I don't understand what this means, because there is a wireless key in my keyboard and there is a white light (not orange) like there should be. Also in the Network and Sharing Center, I can see that the connections are enabled.

- interrupt sharing?
- buffer size?
