Notebook HP Pavilion DV6 3113sa Wireless Adapter Card Not Detected
Apr 24, 2012I have a Notebook HP Pavillion DV6 3113sa with Windows 7 64-bit My Broadcom Bluetooth and Wireless Combo Card is not being detected. On device manager> Network adapters I cannot see my the wireless adapter. Realtek PCIe GBE Family controller is in the device manager though. Also I can access internet with an ethernt cable and my phone and other computer can detect my wireless router. The wireless light is also continually orange and will not change. So neither bluetooth or wireless is working. I have down loaded the 2 Broadcom drivers from the HP website but neither fix the problem. However the bluetooth driver says something like 'Driver failed to install because no bluetooth device was found'.

Mar 24, 2011I recently upgraded my computer (not laptop) from Windows XP to Windows 7-32 bit. I redownloaded and installed Network Magic, Linksys Wireless Manager and my WUSB600N adapter properly (I hope). Now everything was working fine, I was able to get onto my network through the adapter but today I noticed that the Linksys Wireless Manager seemed to not connect to my network, instead my computer some how did it without the wireless manager. Now when I tried to connect to a network through the Wireless Manager it said Error: 211 and said My Adapter may not be installed properly and told me to remove the adapter and attach it back after 20 seconds. I tried that but again my computer connected to the network STILL through the computers own manager not through the Linksys Wireless Manager. That was still saying Error 211. So the problem really is that the Linksys Wireless Manager wont detect my adapter but my computer is still able to detect it and connect to my network.

Nov 1, 2012Two years ago, a lightning strike fried my ADSL router and LAN port on the motherboard (ASUS A7V8X-X) of my now very old system. After that, I bought a Wi-Fi USB adapter (AirLive WL1600-USB) and disabled the fried LAN port. Since that moment, my computer kept freezing totally randomly for the past two years - it didn't matter whether I run a dozen of programs or simply leave the system alone. First I didn't know what's causing those freezes, until a week ago. You see, we were forced to cancel our ADSL account for four months, so I haven't used that Wi-Fi adapter for the entire summer (I disconnected it and uninstalled its drivers). During that time - not a single freeze for four months, no matter how great the system load or temperature. A couple of weeks ago, we activated our ADSL account again, so I plugged the Wi-Fi adapter in and installed its drivers - and the freezes started again.

When trying to find wireless networks the message "No wireless networks detected" appears. Other laptops and devices have no problems connecting throughout the house. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the right drivers for the wireless adapter, checked that the TCP/IP settings are on obtain ip address automatically, checked that the NIC is enabled in the BIOS and checked that the WLAN is on automatic in the services utilty and there is no other WZC running.

Apr 29, 2012I am using Nokia Siemens router. Recently there is an hack on the network. So I changed the security by enabling WPA2-PSK and AES and mac filter enabled. After that two of my roommate machines are not getting connected to WiFi. Even I cant see ssid being detected in thier machines. How to connect to the machines. I have tried by removing security also but those two machines cant even detect the network being broadcasted by us. But it is detecting other networks (neighbors wifi).

Jun 30, 2012I recently did a recovery on my laptop and had to put everything back to factory settings (losing all my music, programs, etc) due to a hard disk issue that I couldn't fix otherwise. After several hours waiting for the process to finish I logged onto my laptop - a toshiba, and realized that my wifi isn't working. The computer says there is an issue with the LAN being disconnected, but my router is communicating fine with other devices. Also, the side switch that turns wifi on and off is lit up (indicating that it is on) despite the fact that Fn + F8 are not responding on my computer. Generally, the laptop cannot detect any wireless devices or routers.I did another system recovery after reading about the issue, and tried turning it on and off, etc, but with no success.

Jan 5, 2012I got a WVC80N Cisco wireless,Tried to set it up the camera there, no luck. The installation seems to go fine right up to the point where you disconnect the camera and it searches for it on the network, then I get the error message - camera not detected (even though when cabled to to router it is recognized). Tried it over and over, shut down rebooted and eventually forced the camera to reboot and erase all the settings and start over. No luck.Could it be my router is too old ? I thought it might be so I brought a second one in - a Linksys, pretty sure it was type N.

Feb 20, 2012I have win7 on an HP Pavilion dv7. I came to my friend's house before, and his WiFi didn't come up as an option to connect to. I unplugged and plugged back in the router, and that worked and I was able to connect with no problem. But today, that didn't fix the problem. I have restarted my computer and the router several times, I have deleted the corresponding wireless profile under "manage wireless networks" list, I have turned off my McAfee firewall to see if that was blocking the connection, I have tried connecting manually through the network and sharing center, I have troubleshooted my wireless adapters (Atheros AR5009 802.11 a/g/n and Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter), I have turned off and turned back on my HP wireless assistant, I have updated the dirvers for the two adapters, I have installed the latest windows updates, I have done all I can think of. And it's not the router, because my cell phone can connect, as well as the other computers in the house, without any problems.

Apr 28, 2011I have had this problem now for a couple of weeks, can't seem to find a solution, even after trying all sorts of things I have seen on the web. I can not seem to get the wireless internet to work on my computer. The problem started a while ago and since then I've actually formatted my hard drive and reloaded Windows XP and everything else back onto my computer. I ahve tried connecting to the wireless at home and at work and neither is working. My computer can see the networks when but can not connect to them. I used to have no problem connecting to my home network, I have not ever connected tot he one at work, just thought I'd try it when I couldn't get it to work at home.
1. Updating my LAN driver (I've tried numerous ones and the one that works best is the one that came with my windows XP)
2. Ran both Spybot and AVG to check on spyware/malware/virus and there was not a single thing on either one.
3. Tried many combinations of setup configurations with my home wireless set up. It is a password protected hookup that I have never had problems with before.So in seeing several posts on here I have the following information from my CMD

Wireless Networks Detected But Can't Connect
Mar 5, 2011I haven't had internet in a couple of months until recently when I got cable broadband and a TP-Link wireless router. The setup works fine with a ADSL cable but I can't get my laptop to connect to any wireless networks including my new router. If I run a windows troubleshooting diagnostic it says I have no preferred networks. If I go to "manage wireless networks" the box is empty and if I click "add" NOTHING happens. I can see my wireless networks in the networks box on the taskbar but when I click on them nothing happens (secured or unsecured) I'm pretty sure the problem is not with the router but maybe with the adapter or the pc itself. Others can connect to the wireless network

Jan 6, 2013I've formatted my HP 530 Notebook (using 'Operating System CD - Windows XP Professional SP2'). All went well. It was my first format but I read a lot on the internet, so I knew I had to download and install the chipset, the bus driver, the audio and video drivers, the network adapters, etc. This I did, on the HP website [URL].
Everything is working perfectly except for the internet. The device (a Broadcom wireless network adapter I installed from the HP website) is reportedly 'working properly', the HP assistant says that the Wireless LAN is 'ON', but my Broadcom wireless network wizard cannot find any network, let alone the network of my router. The Windows assistant is just as useless.
I've tried it all: uninstalling and re-installing, snooping around with 'ipconfig /all' and utilities like 'Everest', to start the Wireless Zero Configuration, to use other network adapters, installing SPs and patches, all that jazz. Apparently, everything is fine and 'working properly' - except that there's no network in sight.
Clearing up some questions:
- The 'Everest' utility says that the Interface Type of my wireless network adapter is 'Ethernet'. Isn't Ethernet supposed to be for cable connections?
- Needless to say, I've been back and forth with drivers a lot. Windows calls my wireless (non)connection 'Wireless Network Connection 2'. Is this in any way significant?
- I'm using 'Broadcom' because that's all I saw at the HP website. Should I try something else instead, like Atheros or Intel something-something?
I'm becoming a bit desperate, so if all else fails, I'm willing to reformat the computer (for the third time) and install the drivers you recommend to me in the recommended order.

Yesterday, out of the blue, my laptop stopped connecting to my home wireless signal.It detects the signal, but when I click on it to connect (something I shouldn't have to do, as it is configured to connect automatically), I get a message saying that it couldn't connect and suggests that the signal strength is low.I know that the signal strength is fine as I am connected just fine on my work computer.I can plug my laptop into the router using a cable and it connects just fine that way, so the only problem is with the wireless signal. Now the WUSB54GP ver 4. is working perfectly, but the WUSB54G v2 still can't detect the network. I'm also running a PS3 and a laptop, which work perfectly with the WRT160N router.Also, the WUSB54G v2 system works just fine with my old router (WRTP54G).

Dec 29, 2011My Dell Inspiron 1525's hard drive died recently. I bought a new hard drive onine because my warranty expired. I installed the hard drive and a Windows Vista Premium operating system. I previously had Windows Vista Basic.
I tried to install all of my drivers, but neither by ethernet connection or wireless are able to connect. I ran the Intel PROset Wireless diagnostics and the hardware portions fails. The error says driver version does not support Intel PROSet/ Wireless.
The wireless card does not show up in the device manager under network adapters. I still am missing a driver for the network controller but do not know where to fnd it.
When I plug an ethernet cable into the computer directly it says no connectivity and will not light up green. why it will not connect to the internet.
