Port Forwarding For Minecraft Server?

Jun 21, 2012

I've been trying to port forward for my minecraft server I'm setting up forever now and it still won't work. I used the minecraft tutorial to make my IP Addresses Static and I've made it so the port is forwarded on my router. I'm using Craftbukkit and hosting the server from my computer, which is not the one connected straight into the modem (If that matters).

Forwarding Ports And Hosting Minecraft Server

Apr 30, 2013

I recently signed up with AT&T U-Verse. They required that I buy a 2Wire 3600 HGV router. I looked up how to forward ports -- and even called an AT&T representative -- and I am sure that I forwarded them correctly. I'm trying to host a Minecraft Server. I forwarded port 25565 in TCP and in UDP. After that wouldn't work, the AT&T representative said that the traffic was being blocked from my side. I then checked my Windows Firewall and allowed all proper applications -- Minecraft and Minecraft Server. When that wouldn't work, I went in an manually added exceptions to Windows Firewall for TCP - 25565 and UDP - 25565 Inbound and the same for Outbound. Nothing.I have tried to check the ports in DMZ mode with Windows Firewall disabled -- they are still timing out. What should I do?

I wanted to port forward it so that they go into the game without using hamachi, or any other networking program. D-Link DIR-615 :: Port Forwarding For Server?

Alright, so I'm trying to set up a Minecraft server without having to use some sort of hosting program, such as LogMeIn Hamachi. I have tried port forwarding both my external IP from "whatismyip.com" and from ipconfig in the CMD WITH the correct Minecraft port, and others still cannot connect. note that I can only connect to my own server when I use the IPv4 address from my CMD. get my server working so that others can connect? (I have been sure to change my "server properties" file's "server-ip" line accordingly.)

Can't Host Minecraft Server

Feb 22, 2013

I have this Minecraft Server hosted at TCP 25565.I don't use any router and is connected to an RG-Box directly. My Firewall is disabled and so is Avast! But still nobody can connect from anywhere. I gave them my external IP and nothing worked out.I did a "netstat -a" search, and yes, I do have a connection listening at this port TCP.Still, I get this "Connection timed out: Connect" error when trying to reach my server from anywhere out side of my network.I called my ISP regarding this problem, and they told me that they were only blocking port 24 and 25, all other ports is free to use. And they told me that I don't need to Port-Forward or anything, I just plug my computer directly into the RG-BOX, and I should be good to go. But I'm not.

Cisco Routers :: Exchange Server - Port Forwarding On 2811?

Sep 18, 2011

Basically the problem that I have is that I have a new Exchange server sitting on 192.168.12.2 IP address and on the router I have this NAT enabled

ip nat inside source static tcp 192.168.12.2 110 212.115.5.5 110 extendable ip nat inside source static tcp 192.168.12.2 25 212.115.5.5 25 extendable

The Exchange can receieve emails but it will not send them. It cannot make connection to any of the smart hosts on port 25 or can't even send mail using DNS. When I run telnet my.smarthost.com 25 it will not connect but if I run that from the router then it connects fine.

Servers :: Minecraft 1.3 LAN Server Function Fails Because Host IP Bad

Aug 3, 2012

Minecraft 1.3 LAN server function fails because host IP bad. The host (a laptop) connects to the LAN with a proper 10.0.1.X type address, but this particular laptop uses a 169.* address when it establishes/reports the game (instead of it's 10.0.1.X) and no other computer can connect to it. Other computers DO establish/report the 10.0.1.X address they receive from the wireless router, and they can host just fine- but I really need to get the one laptop to serve as host since it has more horsepower.

Linksys Wireless Router :: EA6500 Port Forwarding For Http To A Web Server

Jan 7, 2013

I recently bought a EA6500 to replace a EA4500 (defective). Prior to the EA4500 I had a 160N which I now use as a WAP for 801.11G devices. I thought the 4500 was good from the media server functions it offered. However since installing the 6500 I noticed:

1. I have port forwarding for http to a web server. It works fine from machines on the outside but from my local subnet 192.168.1.x I can't access the web server (I can't even ping the external address - and yes I turned the anonymous filter off). I am not using ddns and I have a static ip address (cable modem connected) to the outside world.

Cisco Routers :: RV 120W Port Forwarding 1723 To A PPTP Server

Sep 11, 2011

We have just acquired a Cisco RV120W Firewall Router and we are experiencing issues with this router. I've read some threads related to port forward issue with RV120W before writing this new topic.

We have 2 locations (site A and site B) connected with a Site to Site VPN (PPTP) running under Windows Server 2008 R2 with TMG 2010. This Site to Site VPN worked very well until we replaced our old router with the RV120W at site B. Since this moment, our engineers are not able to make the site to site VPN work again. The TMG box are located just behind the router.

We have followed some threads about Port Forwarding but it did not solve our issue (others port forwarding rules for RDP for example work). Our RV120W is running the last stable firmware (1.0.2.6) provided by Cisco.

The default HTTP service works fine: TCP80/80-> 192.168.0.55

I have a couple of IP security camera's I'd like to be able to access remotely that also listen on port 80. I tried TCP & UDP 8009/8009-> 192.168.0.9 without any luck. Not sure how to handle the port redirects on the RV042G? Seems simple and was on the Symantec, could be user training :-)

I was able to do port redirect with the Symantec Firewall I'm replacing.

Cisco Firewall :: Change Default SSH Port On ASA 5505 (port Forwarding)

Dec 2, 2011

So here is my network.

ASA5505--->Cisco1841--->Cat2960
Code
ASA asa831-k8.bin
Cisco 1841 c1841-adventerprisek9-mz.151-4.M2.bin
Cat 2960 c2960-lanbasek9-mz.122-55.SE1.bin

and here is my dilemma.

I can SSH from the internet to my ASA on default port 22, directly to my public IP.  I can SSH from the internet to my Cisco 1841 on port 2001. I can not however, SSH to my Cat 2960.  From what i can tell, on the Cat2960 i can't change the default port 22 for SSH to different port, just like i did on the Cisco 1841.  I looked to see if I can change the default port for SSH on he ASA, it does not look like this is an option.

The bottom line is that i want to be able to SSH to all three devices from the internet.  I only have one public IP.  As of now, what i can do is only SSH to the ASA on default port 22 directly to the public IP and Cisco 1841 on port 2001.  It appears that changing the default SSH port on Cat 2960 is not an option.  It also appears that I can't change the default SSH port on the ASA, if i could, i would and then i should be able to SSH to the Cat 2960 on port 22. No matter what i did on the ASA, it always listens on port 22 for SSH connections.

show asp table socket
TCP       001f549f  <<pub IP>>:22              0.0.0.0:*               LISTEN

how do i make it listen on different port?

Here is relevent config for SSH for cisco 1841 (port forwarding)

ON ASA

D-Link DIR-655 :: Subsonic Port Forwarding / Get Machine - Port From Outside / Internet

Feb 16, 2011

I am having an issue opening a port (4040) on the 655 for my Fedora-based subsonic server.  Inside the LAN, I can see the device from other peer machines, so I am confident the port is open and listening.  However, I can't seem to get to the machine-port from outside/internet.

I have tried Virtual Server and Port Forwarding with single port.  The server has a stactic IP which I've included in the DHCP range and outside the range.  I have a DSL connection (AT&T), modem only.  I have updated firmware.  I have exhausted the Subsonic community's knowledge, everything points to the router, but all the settings seem correct.  What am I missing?  Is if possible there is a defect in the router? (don't laugh).  Is there a way to trace a request to that port to see where it is hanging?

(yes, I've STFA, but don't know what else to do).

Cisco :: Not Enough Port Fields In Port Forwarding For Linksys E4200

Jul 16, 2011

I have always used netgear routers in the past. After a series of issues regarding configurations not working correctly I invested in what appeared to be a semi pro router, the cisco linksys e4200.

I have a centralized server which I use to access a mass of different services such as mail, dns, VPN, FTP, Kerberos, http and many more. While I am not a massive networking ****, this server setup is like my garage project. To access these services externally to my LAN as far as I understand I would need to configure port forwarding for each service to my server. Unfortunately the control panel for the linksys E4200 only offers about 15 custom port fields for forwarding, and some documentation I have read shows that with it's basic install my server could be using up to 60 ports at once.

Is this router just not suitable for this sort of network. If so I will be very disappointed because I have spent a quarter of the price on netgear routers with more control than this.
