Linksys Wireless Router :: WRT610n No Power / Won't Turn On
Dec 27, 2011My WRT610n went out today for no apparent reason.All of my other peripherals are still running, but the router won't turn on. I've tried different transformers, outlets and powerstrips, with no luck -- no power. I've also tried a hard reset on it, with no luck.

Jun 26, 2012I tried to log in into my EA4500 today, and instead of the simple window that asks for the user name and password, I am getting a Cisco Connect Cloud log in screen. It is very strange.
At the top it says: Cisco Connect Cloud/Powering Linksys Products
and below that:
Sign In If you have not yet created an account, click the 'Create Account' button in the upper right corner of the page
There is a help button, a button to create an account. There is a place where I can enter an email address and a password.
Pressing the Help button I learned that I can probably bypass this silly screen by disconnecting the internet. Is there a better way to bypass this screen and turn off Cisco Connect Cloud?
Using Power Line Adapters To Connect To The Router?
Dec 4, 2012Two of us were using power line adapters to connect to the router. We had no problems whatsoever. Then my other friend got a power line adapter and starte connecting that way too. Then pretty much both mine and his stopped working. Yet my other friend can still use his no problem.I ran and ipconfig /all and I'm noticing that its not giving me a default gateway address. I tried inputting it manually and still nothing. My windows 7 pc keeps saying it can't identify the network.I also have this problem when I try connecting my Xbox and he has the same issues with his ps3.Yet we can both connect wirelessly with no problems.The router in question is a Netgear N300+.

Aug 6, 2012I'am a bit newbie at using Cisco products and here is my problem : I have set up a VPN tunnel between 2 Sites (A and B) a few month ago using 2 cisco SR520-ADSL-K9. All was working fine until power failures occured on the sites B (secondary site).
What happened was that none of the ethernet ports were working, excepting during booting, I was then able to ping computers linked to ports Fastethernet0, FastEthernet1, FastEthernet2 and FastEthernet3 but after a few seconds all ports were disabled but my DSL seemed to be working.
So I took back the router home to check it. I managed (I think) to make a factory reset using a serial terminal and following the procedure described here [URL]
Since I did the reset, I thought I would be able to re-use Cisco Configuration Assistant (3.1) to re-configure the router (I am very bad at using the command lines) but I am unable to connect to the router using the supposed default IP : 92.168.75.1 (I set my computer to use 192.168.75.50 IP adress with mask 255.255.255.0). But I can't connect to the router ... even if the Ethernet ports seem to work because green light is on when plugging my cable. connect to my router using CCA ?
For more information, here is what I get when I run "show startup-config" and "show running-config" in terminal console. I guess the objective is to make the startup-config beeing the running-config, but I have no idea on how to do that ..

Linksys Wireless Router :: WRT400n Cannot Connect To Internet After Power Outage
Mar 14, 2012We had a power outage the other day, and now the wireless router cannot connect to the internet. Network Magic shows there is no connection from the device to the internet. I tried repairing it through Network Magic but it wasn't able to fix it.
My PC is directly connected to the wireless device by LAN cable. If I connect the PC directly to my DSL router I can connect to the internet, but not if I connect to the wireless router and from there to my DSL router. I tried resetting the wireless router to factory defaults and then going to [URL] and resetting up the router security settings. But Network Magic still shows the bad internet connection.
I then tried resetting the router to factory defaults again and installing it from scratch using the setup CD but that failed as well. I'm not at home right now so can't remember exactly at which point it was but I think it was either when the setup wizard tried to detect the device or install the device.This is the second time I've had to reset up my router due to power outage. Last time I was able to get it working by doing the first steps above.

Apr 18, 2012I've got the power cut while PC was running (w7). After rebooting I'm not able to connect to the internet anymore.
In Device Manager, under Network Adapters there is a "Realtek PCIe GBE..." device properly installed. But under Other Devices there are now more entries with exclamation mark:
- Network controller
- Multimedia controller
- PCI Communication controller
etc
I tried updating the drivers, then deleting and reinstalling but no success so far. Still can't connect to the internet. The browser can see the router, at 192.168.1.1 I don't know where the problem is.
Cannot Connect To Internet After Power Outage
Apr 4, 2012I'm running Windows Vista desktop on a wireless network. It's been working fine for months. Just lost power for a minute today and ever since I can't connect to the internet, only locally. My desktop can't even identify the network. My laptop (I'm using it to send this message) is also wirelessly connected and works fine, as do other wifi enabled devices in the house. I've done the power off and on for the modem and the router but it's made no difference. I've rebooted the desktop system too. I've run the ipconfig /all and am concerned I have no Default Gateway listed.

Cisco Switching/Routing :: Stack-power 3750x / FRU Power Supply Is Not Responding
Sep 4, 2012After stacking two 3750X switches, with four equal power-supply's, with StackWise and PowerStack , still got the next message every few hours %PLATFORM_ENV-1-FRU_PS_ACCESS: FRU Power Supply is not responding (gn4m-rt1p08-04-2)( note that the message revers to the second switch in the stack ) although the stackwise and powerstack on the switches is oke and are working correctly. !
Config : Stack-power in power-sharing mode/strict With CLI on the switch : All the power supply's and stack-power details, prio look OK.
Only: LMS prime /inventory/cisco-view/configure/power supply status result : some power supply's are marked as disabled.with the command > power supply 2 slot a off/on I manage to get the status back to "normal", but after a few hours some power supply's are again marked as "disabled".
Looks like SNMP en IOS difference from opinion.

Cisco Wireless :: 1252 - WCS Reports AP Draws Low Power - With Correct Power Injector
Jul 21, 2011I keep getting alerts from our WCS stating that our 1252s are drawing low power. Now I am aware that they require enhanced PoE (up to 20W) but as we only have standard PoE in that building we purchased the 1252 series power injectors to go with them.
However, even with the correct power injectors the WCS still reports the draws low power error.
Is this a bug? Running WCS 7.0.172 at the moment.
Forgot to say we are using the PWR-INJ4 and the injector status is enabled and you see the injector MAC address when you drill in to the AP status.

Cisco Switching/Routing :: 6500 - Power-Redundancy Mode Combined And Power Fail
Feb 28, 2011I have a 6500 chassis with 2 power supplies. At the moment I am using the default configuration:
power-redudancy mode redundant
The problem is that an inserted module is in "power deny" state due too insufficient power.
I know, that It's not a good idea to change into combined mode (loss of redundancy), but my customers requested this anyway.
So I will change to combined mode. So here's the 1 million dollar question: "Which modules will go into power deny, if one of my power supplies fails?"
The 6500 config guide states:
"Power supply is removed withredundancy disabled
• System log and syslog messages are generated.
• System power is decreased to the power capability of one supply.
• If there is not enough power for all previously powered-up modules, some modulesare powered down and marked as power-deny in the show power oper state field."
Well, do you know if there's any way to configure some kind of priority? E.g. I definetly don't want by 10Gig Module or WiSM module to be in power deny. Can i statically make sure, those module will be powered on for sure? Like: "power enable module slot_number" How is this calculated? Or is random?

Mar 22, 2011I've just gotten a DIR-615 and replaced a working linksys G router. I configured it to work with my ipad (wireless N), my laptop-win 7 (N), and my desktop-vista (USB connected N). Everything works ok,. I'm using WPA personal, WPA2only, AES encryption, 3600, 802.11n only, auto 20/40 mhz channel width, invisible.
Here's the problem. As I powered up and shut down the laptop each day, it wouldn't connect to the router. I could see the connection, but windows said it couldn't connect. I had to go and unplug the router, count to 10, and then plug it in, and tell the laptop to connect and then it would connect it would be fine.
I thought it might be a compatibility with the laptop driver, but after powering down the desktop today, I had to do the same power cycle on the router to get the desktop to connect. So then I went and turned off the IPAD and had the same thing happen. 3 for 3.
I'm pretty sure its router settings and not the 3 devices, this never happened with the Linksys router, but I don't know what to change.
One other odd thing, when I view the network in windows, the DIR-615 icon is there (for about 15 secs), and then it disappears (for about 5 secs), and then reappears (15 secs), disappears (5 secs), etc. - almost like its dropping out for 5 secs... I haven't noticed a performance hit, but haven't transfer big files yet.

Jul 13, 2011After a quick power surge forced my desktop to reboot, it can't connect to my wireless network, even though everything else can. It may have been applying windows updates at the time of the surge.
Earlier today I shut down my computer to apply some windows updates. A few minutes after it rebooted a power surge knocked it out for an instant and the computer rebooted again. I don't know if it was done applying the updates but for some reason it can no longer connect to a wireless network. It keeps saying "unknown reason" when it fails to connect. I think I had a static IP attached to it.
My iPhone and iPad can still connect to this network, but this one computer can't. It's a desktop running Windows Vista Home Premium with a broadcom adapter added to it. It's too far away to connect to any wired connection. My router is a Netgear WGT624 v4.
I don't think I can post any IPconfig information here because I'm forced to type this on an iPhone.

I am trying to get my DMZ Vlan to ports3&4 (LAG1) but when i assign the LAG group to PVID 3 i lose connectivity on VLAN1. I want to send both VLANs to that host because the teamed adaptor is used for Hyper-v Network Switch.
