Every time i load up EVE online my router resets as if id pressed the reset button.Its a Netgear, model number CGD24G, and my ISP is Roadrunner Cable. It happens consistently every time i get into the Game, Eve Online, and it just happened recently, as ive been playing it these past few days.

I have an E1200 model 1 router. I've owned it for over a year and it's given me no problems until now...Hardwired ethernet connections work fine, but the wifi no longer works consistently. I have several wireless-N wifi devices that either cannot connect to the router at all (they present an error message), or do connect but will not load anything over the connection, or will load web pages very very slowly and then suddenly drop the connection.When I go to the DCHP client table, I see all of my ethernet connections but it does not show any wifi devices, even if the WiFi device is showing a connection to the router.The wifi connection is secured via WPA2 Personal.I have tried changing channels to one that was not congested with any other nearby routers. I have also tried a 30-30-30 factory reset. I am updated to the latest firmware version (1.0.03). I am sure I am entering the correct pass phrase to connect over WPA2. All of my wifi devices are confirmed to be wireless-n, not g or b.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have just purchased a DIR-825. Set up went through without a hitch. (I have it wired, not wireless at the moment). But I am consistently dropping my connection to the internet/Lan . I have a dual boot system (WinXP-Win7) and it's happening on both platforms, so i know it's not an OS problem. I have reverted to my old DIR-604 out of frustration. I was hoping you might have suggestions or a potential solution before I contact customer support for official assistance (if it exists) on this matter.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a ASA 5505 VPN Concentrator using ADSM 5.2 connecting to a BEFSX41 router. Its a pretty simple set up that has been working for years. However, over the past several weeks the VPN tunnel is consistently dropping every day or two, however both side are able to ping the internet at all times. My current work around is to manually log into the BEFSX41 router and re-connect the VPN tunnel, which simply connects immediately. The tunnel will stay up for about a day or two until it reliably drops the tunnel connection. Every time the tunnel drops I get an alert with an error message: [code] After doing searches about what this error means, all I can find is that its supposed to mean there is a problem with the encryption keys. I have checked the keys many times over and everything is the same. I find it odd that nothing has changed in almost 2 years.
I have 10 other VPN connections that are always up at never have any problems. I have the same make/model router connected to other offices with no problems. I have swapped the router twice, and each time I get the same symptoms.
I recently tried resetting my router (dlink dir-655). I am able to connect using my iphone and my mbp if I did not make use of a secure connection. I tried putting a password on a new ssid. My ipad 2 and 2 other windows laptops are able to connect without any problem. My iphone 4s was having a hard time connecting to the new ssid. It does not connect automatically just in case I turn on and off my wifi connection for the iphone. I have to type in the wpa password whenever I had to go online again. FYI, I tried resetting my iphone several times and I still get the same response. As for my mac, it was far more much worse. Whenever I tried to connect to my router. It usually says connection time out. I tried resetting the router one more time again. I had to put in the old ssid and the old wpa password. My Iphone 4s was abe to connect automatically. My mbp did the same thing also.

When I bought the modem, I set the modem correctly by putting its CD in my PC & following it..But the last week when I opened the internet, the internet was telling that DNS server failed to look-up.. or something like that in my Google Chrome.So I put the disk in my PC.. And again I set the modem correctly by following CD's instructions..Then the internet started to work again..Now today also when I opened the internet the same manner it shows a message.. set the modem again..So my question is why is this happening ??And yea also the Wi-Fi's password setting has been also changing from WPA to Open..Is there a way to set this modem correctly.. without being setting the modem everytime.

The problem is, the power goes out twice a day for a minuite, and my router automatically resets itself when the power comes back on. But each time we have the same problem, the thing resets constantly while doing streaming from netflix, over wifi, and resets the entire router. I've updated to the latest firmware but i'm ready to just throw this out and put our old netgear back up.

My boyfriend and I have directly connected his computer to the modem, and the internet is working. I have also called our ISP and asked if there are any problems on their end, and our modem is working fine with no issues. So we had come to the conclusion that our router was at fault. It was a Linksys E1500, we investigated online and found that many people had the same problem and it was solved through buying a new router. We have since bought a new router a D-link N150, it worked for a week and a half, but now our internet is back to disconnecting randomly throughout the day. We have tried resetting the router back to factory settings to an avail.

The problem is that my internet connection either randomly loses connection for about 5-10 seconds until it gets back online or disconnects all together. When it disconnects and it can't get back online on it's own, I have to pull the power plug and plug it back in. My sister in law and I are sharing internet since our houses are about 100 feet between each other. We are using one modem, and two routers. All we did was just plug the second router to the first router and it worked! We didn't configure anything in the router control panels, we basically just plugged and play. Since it's been kicking us off or resetting on us, I feel it might be something that we had to configure in the two routers. But I don't know what to configure. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a 2Wire 2701HG-B modem/router provided to me by AT&T for my DSL service. I have one issue and a seperate question sort of related to it.The issue I'm having is that whenever a laptop gets online with wireless internet the modem will randomly reset connection.Some times it will do it every 30 seconds, some times it will be once an hour or even more.It works perfectly fine on any laptop when plugged in with Ethernet cable but only with wireless it will glitch out. It does this whether it is the only computer online on the network, and also when there are a few others online so it's just the simple fact of the wireless resetting it somehow.I've done lots of google searching and some people say changing the line pair settings fixed it for them. Some say changing from b/g mode to just g mode fixed it. I've tried every thing that I've come across and nothing has worked so far. Apparently this is a very common problem for this model I just can not find the right solution that has worked for other people, to work for me as well.
if I were to want to make this modem/router just a modem and hook up my own router for N wireless would this be possible? I know I've read ways about putting combos in DMZ mode or something but I don't really know what I'm looking for because everything is worded different in this modem's settings.Can any one provide any insight as to if this is possible, and if it's even worth it to do so? Mainly worried about the first thing I mentioned though, this is just a side note.
My DIR655 is about a month old, works fine but randomly resets to factory default (loses configuration). Used it to get internet from an existing wired connection with gateway 192.168.0.1, therefore changed Network address of Dlink to 192.168.1.1 to make it work. Every so many days of working ok, it suddenly resets to factory default with no one touching the reset button. Have to restore the configuration from saved file which is a hassle.
Although the DIR655 is connected to a UPS, it shouldn't lose the settings during blackouts right?
I have a DIR-615 that is not responding to hard resets. It was working fine for about a week and then stopped handing out IP's to wireless clients. I attempted a power cycle and when the router came back up the wireless light was no longer on and it was no longer handing out IP's to Ethernet clients. The power light is solid, internet light lights up when connected to my modem and flashes intermittently, and the Ethernet lights light up in response to connecting clients. I have attempted to hard reset the router to no avail. I also tried statically assigning 192. 168. 0.120 to my NIC to see if I could access the router config but that doesn't work either. It's almost as if the default ip address and range for the LAN on my router have changed and DHCP was turned off.

This sever was the front end to get to the host that holds the customer information. The server was in a DMZ, the path from Server to host was: through DMZ switch, through firewall to 6509 switch to the host. We never had a problem with this, the server application was old but worked great.
We have since moved to having someone host the front end. The front end connects via Internet to their third party router, to the same DMZ switch through same firewall, to same 6509 to host. The third party router is configured with VPN tunnel to remote end. Connection comes through Internet to their router and is Na Ted then goes to DMZ, to host.

We have had nothing but trouble with this connection. Customers are complaining because the connections time out so much. We see a lot of tcp resets on the host to the Router NAT ip address (which is the DMZ side interface). The resets usually show "Invalid Query Header Length". The current connection is capped at 1Mbps, with average response times of 50ms (spikes to 200).
They keep telling us that something is wrong with the host, but I have to believe the latency is causing us problems. I can see that bandwidth seems to be enough as I do not see the interfaces utilizing that much, averages about 300K. I was wondering could the IOS NAT be contributing to the problem as well?
Our users are using Xmanager to connect to a NNM connection which is going through a Cisco ASA5550 with 8.3. The session of Xmanager is getting terminated exactly after 1 hour and the users have to reconnect it again. How can we make the session to be up always, when I am bypassing the Firewall its always up.

I bought a new DIR-655 REVB router, I already own the first version of the DIR-655 and worked fine, but the wireless range wasn't always the highest upstairs in my house and I was hoping with REVB they had improved the DIR-655's range. I'm not a big wireless guy, meaning if I can use a hardwire connection I will use it, so my house is pretty well wired, but for my daughter and son's ipod and Zune the wireless connection was weak in their upstairs bedrooms. It has been a disaster, the wired connections gets disconnected constantly, I say in the subject title 100's of times a day and I don't think I am exaggerating. It started with Netflix and I thought my son was crazy, how could new router do this, but it was doing it everywhere. It is hard to download files because I lose my connection. I have DSL through Windstream. My solution is to reinstall my old DIR-655.

I configure the device, setup all my tunnels, WAN, LAN, Wirelss, Security, etc. and within 48 hours it "automatically" resets itself back to "out of the box" settings. This has happened twice now - once after it ran for about 4 days and the second time after only 5 or so hours of opperation.
Is this a known issue with the device? Is there an update I need to apply? I'd give ya my current FW version but I cannot login as it appears to have rest once again lol - and my tunnels are down so no remote access.
I made a backup of the config after the first unscheduled reset - (.bin file) so I have my settings ready to restore.
I bought a new cisco srp527w (K9-G4) and all seems fine but when I reboot it the date resets to 1970/1/1I upgraded it from vrs 1.01.09(001) to 1.01.24 but it is still doing it.I havent yet got it onto the internet as it wont be going live until it goes into a client site, so I cannot set it to NTP to see if this will work around the problem of setting the date and time manually.

Every time the power comes back the linksys router completely resets...I have to plug into it and change the SSID, turn security back on, enter the password again, and then I'm fine...can I prevent this from happening? Before I plug into it I see both networks available (mine under my name, but I can't connect to it, and linksys as a public network), is there a step I'm missing to make my router remember it's identity?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two 1252s on ports 1 and 2 off a Catalyst 3550. No other device on the switch except the fiber uplink.
Initially 1252 #2 (on port 2) resets for no reason at no specific time. We did not have a problem with 1252 #1.
The show ver on #2 does indicate that equipment resets due to power. I figured the 3550 is having problems powering two 1252s so had this AP on PWRINJ4 (validated its not drawing power via show power inline).
Today, #2 does not reset. However, now #1, which is the only device using inline power is now resetting. Same thing, reset due to power. Same weird behavior, at no particular time.
I've also have "no cdp enable" out off each port as i understand CDP sometime cause device to not boot up (15w versus 15.4w issue).
Both AP btw are Standalone IOS.
I have a couple of 114n APs in my network and the CAPWAP uptime and AP uptime are almost the same. But there is one which always resets after some time. I have moved across to another switch port but the issue persists. I have other 1141 and 1131's on this switch and no problems. The keep alives between the AP and Controller is regular. I can't get more info from the traps as the reason code is always;
" AP associated to Controller is UP. Reason: Radio interface reset due to Init"
"AP associated to Controller is down. Reason: Radio interface reset"
"AP associated to Controller is UP. Reason: Radio interface reset"

We have asa 5520 with 8.4(2) release and asdm 6.4(5). When we create new ipsec connection profiles (by ipsec wizard for example), ASA reset all vpnclients sessions active. Now we need to create new profiles, but we have 170 vpnclients sessions active, so we cant'.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am troubleshooting interface resets on a 3660 connected to a 3550 over Fast Ethernet. I have hard coded both sides for full duplex and 100Mbit. The 3660 is incrementing interface resetes about 4-6 times a day and the 3550 is clean. I have noticed this in other similar configurations as well.
