Im curious to know if there is a way, to stream music to my iPad from a drive connected on my network? Either by USB to the router or a hard wired NAS. Im aware of programs like Streamtome but this requires a mini server running on a PC which is want i want to avoid!
I know there are things like the slingbox etc but i cant believe its needed! If you can access the files on a MacBook on the wireless why not an iPad?
I work from a computer that can not install any software(locked out), but I want to record good quality audio (at least 192kps) from websites, I've spent along time googling for a website that would record the audio (audio from a different website, i.e. streaming radio, etc.) which I could then download to my USB stick. I just can't find a website that does this, but I think I'm just not using the right search words
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having some trouble connecting to my computer remotely via my iPad.I have a fairly strict router so i installed and am running Hamachi as my network through which i connect to my server computer via another computer. I realized as I was writing this that the reason i could not connect to my server computer via the Hamachi address was because my ipad is not connected to the Hamchi network. When i try to connect via the ip address i get from whatsmyip.org i simply get an error. I have absolutely no idea where to go from here, and I would really like to have remote access to my server computer from my ipad.

I can access internet with PC, but not ipad2 WiFi.ipad2 WiFi can see this router and I can select it after putting password. BTW, ipad2 Wifi should be OK, since I can access Wifi networks on my company no problem.

I also with a wireless connection to a Grace internet radio and a DAP 1522 (with the latest firmware 1.31) set up as a bridge with my direct tv box connected . The DIR-655 ip is 192.168.2.1, Grace radio ip is 192.168.2.177, DAP-1522 ip is 192.168.2.3 and Direct TV box ip is 192.168.2.173. My PC is hardwired to the DIR-655. I can ping all devices from my PC, but cant ping the DAP 1522, Direct TV Box or Grace Internet Radio from my IPAD. I have no trouble connecting to the DIR-655 from my Ipad. It only seems to be anything thats connected wireless to the DIR-655 that I cant access from my IPAD. All devices have the same subnet of 255.255.255.0 and gateway of 192.168.2.1.

It all started when I updated my DIR-655 to the newest firmware 2.07NA because I wanted to have an Open NAT for my PS3 because it was set on Strict and I wasn't able to fix it other than updating my router. Now, Youtube works, but I can't play any videos, it's keep in a infinite loop. And I can't access some sites, such as Google, Youtube Facebook and Yahoo, on my iPad, it just won't load.

Users authenticate via 802.1X key management on the corporate network and web authentication via guest. This works fine, however, I've run into a problem. We also use iPads for inspections and the inspection site is housed internally. I've had a network admin create an exception in the firewall that will allow connection to the internal sites from the guest network, however, it does not function. I did find that if I connect an iPad to the corporate wireless network I'm able to download the necessary certificate to the device but that only works if I use my login information which is not something I am interested in doing. Is it possible to enable another authentication for the corporate network without breaking the functionality of the existing 802.1X authentication? What could possibly be the cause on the guest network not allowing connectivity to the internal sites, even though the exception has been created?

On i Pad when I try to connect to Internet I have to turn WiFi off and on. It works for a while but after waking i Pad from sleep I have to switch off and on again. It really drives me crazy. Sometimes (hardly ever) it happens on my iPhone 4 (same network setup as on i Pad). Other devices connect to Internet whenever I need.

With an RDP app, i can access my work network from multiple public locations from my iPad. At home, on my laptop, I start the cisco client then use the windows rdp, presto i'm in my work network. At home on my iPad I can activate the VPN, but I can not connect with rdp. I spoke with linksys support tonight they had me add port 3389 to port range triggering and disable the firewall on the home router. This didn't solve the problem. To recap: 1) I can connect to my work network with rdp from multiple public locations, but not at home with the iPad 2) I can connect to my work network at home with my laptop with the cisco client ant the windows rdp

I have tried resetting the router, ping the website and get "request timed out"The firmware is up to date version 2.25 I have tried other computers that access the same network and they also cant stream the audio.I have also turned off my windows 7 firewall with no luck I can access other sites I visit and stream audio just fine so I wonder if the router may be blocking something on this website?Is there a way to allow an audio stream to come through that may be blocked by the router?

I have a user that uses an ASA 5505 in NEM to have his/her laptop and Cisco IP Phone at home. The ASA 5505 establishes a tunnel to an ASA 5510, which is connected and speaking EIGRP to our core switch. Off of the core switch we have our CCM cluster.
The issue happens on the first call after a long period of no calls. After if happens on the first call, he/she can continue to make calls without the issue. I though it was a timeout issue, but his/her ASA configuration is the exact same. Also, he/she is using the same group policy, tunnel-group etc. as everyone else with the same setup.
This issue happens regardless if she has a PC behind the phone or not.Internal calls and external are both affected.
I am aware that most one-audio issues are RTP connectivity issues between the two endpoints. I can clearly see in the routing table of all of our routers, that the route to the subnet her phone is on has not changed for days, and she has had the issue within that amount of time.
I'm looking for a good place to start troubleshooting that doesn't require me to to a pcap. If all else fails, I will do a pcap.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got an ASA 5505 running 8.2 configured for solely as an IP phone proxy, it is the default gateway for the cucm box and PRI router, its inside interface is directly attached to the same subnet as all internal phones as well. Calls can be placed from either end, but after call is established, proxy phones does not hear audio from internal or pstn phones. The proxy phone registers with cucm with the remote internal IP of the phone that obviously cannot be reached by corp network.
Debugging from pri router shows the rtp traffic destination is the internal ip address of the proxy phone 192.168.0.50, why is the phone registering with its internal IP 192.168.0.50 rather than its Natted external IP 50.50.50.50 that can be reachable by cucm and other phones?Proxy phone is a 7945, after it registers, I do not see it under sh phone-proxy secure-phones, or sh phone-proxy signaling-sessions while on a call.

I have the WAP4410n connected to a SLM2008. I tried to change to 100Mb the port in the switch but then I lost the connectivity.
But it's a giga port and it must work as a giga port. The new firmware must resolve the problem, and not to be a work around. Or what will be the next, not to use N, only G, or only 20MHz or...
