Store Emails Automatically On Network Drive After Been Read By User?

Is it possible to have emails stored automatically on a network drive after email is been read by the user? I know for sure that on a mailserver there is a feature that can be set up to have a copy stored and than send it to the users application.

I have a network hard drive (NAS) in my LAN. I would like that a few computers in the LAN were able to only read but not write and the other computers could both write and read. Is there any way I could do this?

i have a user running Windows xp pro, the problem is one of his network drives does not re-connect at logon, all the other drives re-connect but for some reason this one does not, the network drive is on a windows server and does not require different logon credentials than his windows logon.

I have a Windows 2003 SP2 server with a shared folder. This folder is accessed by 2 people on a regular basis. The problem we are experiencing is when a folder is created by user A, it cannot be moved by user B (and vice versa), as it says the folder is in use.The exact error is: Error Moving File or Folder.Cannot move <filename>: Access is denied.Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use.I have explicitly set full control for both users on the folder. The drive has 70GB of 500GB remaining. I have also used File Server Management to verify the files were not in use when they were being moved.The server is Windows 2003, SP2. Domain environment, with all relevant users having permissions on the folder, and the everyone account removed. Any other operation inside the shared folder works fine.

If Anonymous Disk Access is selected, read-only files cannot be deleted; nor can the file attributes be changed. This is true even if one attempts to connect as an administrator. Unchecking Anonymous Disk Access and logging on as an administrator fixed this problem for me, but I'd think there are 2 issues.
1. Anonymous Disk Access should allow deletion of ANY files. I would expect this to be a "wide open" setting.
2. If Anonymous Disk Access is selected, a valid login should take precedence.

Having problem locating why when a user logs on to their profile, their personal network drive shows everyones personal drive file and they have acces to all files.This is a major security concern as uppper management files are then accessable.It is random, may not always be displayed, or always occur on the same user.The User drive normally displays.

When this takes place the users name is replaced with just Users Users on \serverusers$ (H:) (This can sometimes change to Z drive)
This then exposes all user drives.This does not run from a script but is used in AD under the profile drive letter. Have tried to:Rebuild profile in Active Directory. (New Profile)Re Build user profile on workstation>Rebuild Operating system on Workstation.Change drive on the user profile in AD letter H to Z.Have also tried on a different workstation.

I have a customer that has a FWSM on a 6500, I want to create a read only account for them, i believe user privelage of lvl_3 When I log into the firewall it prompts me for a password straight away.
Is there a way that i can create a login that when it prompts me for a password, I can have a password setup to put into that prompt to get a certain level of access, instead of the standard lvl_15 access

I've only worked with 7/asa5580 in an Active Directory setting. Sysprepping to clone those machines with default profiles with unattends was very easy, but XP is a different story. I'm now faced with moving several buildings with XP machines to a few Server 2008 R2 boxes, which all will all be in one location. There are around 700 machines but this will be a building by building process, maybe 100 at a time over the course of a year or more. Moving these machines to Win 7 is not an option. There are several buildings but they are all in the same town, all connected with fiber. I do not manage the physical network. My plan is to just offer each user thier mapped network home drive and possibly redirected folders. I'm just keeping it basic.
How important is it to sysprep these XP machines after I do clean installs? I've heard it's very important but also know a lot of people on AD that just clone machines without sysprepping. I've heard not sysprepping can screw with WSUS, but in the years up to this point the machines on Novell have been cloned without sysprep and WSUS worked fine.
Also, will Sites give me the advantage of forcing groups/buildings of machines to authenticate to a specific DC? Otherwise I only know of Sites to allow you to control the replication between servers over WAN. What other benefits is there to using Sites for each building?
If I'm running a few DC/FS's, how to handle DNS? Each server that needs DNS installed will have it installed per requirement, but as for configuring the workstations DNS settings, should I dedicate one server to DNS or have two, or something different?
My last question is about folder permission inheritance. My previous experience, I created a folder inheritance system where when the user was created, their home drive pointed to a folder using \%username%, and a folder would be automatically created, give ownership to the user, and inherit permissions to only view that folder and no one elses. It works brilliantly. My problem is that when I use group policy to deploy folder redirections, I couldn't figure out a way to automatically create folders. I ended up pointing the redirection policy back to their own home folder. It ended up working out OK, but whenever the users look in their network drive they could see the redirected folders.

Two Access Switch(2960) are connected to each other and they are connected to Core Switch ( 6509), problem is the user's connected to Access switch cannot access Share drive which are on Servers , this servers are also connected to core on the first module ,,, so the user are not bale to open their share drive , it is opening but taking too much time?

I have a motherboard intel DG41RQ and it has a built in lan card but i wanted to put another lan card via the PCI express slot and i put it and the flash lights on the network card are flashing but still the hardware manager and everything on the computer haven't even noticed that i put a new hardware.

I have been using this router for around 8 to 9 months now. Everything was working fine till one week back. Now I am facing problem with my office emails. I cannot get my office emails while on WiFi network. Outlook is not able to connect to my office server and I don't receive my emails. Rest everything works fine. Initially i used to get all the emails while using this WiFi router. When I connect my internet cable directly to my laptop, i am able to receive all the emails in my office outlook inbox.
I am also using my Samsung Galaxy S3 on this WiFi network. And my office outlook is configured in it. I am facing the same problem with my phone as well, it started recently, around one week back, as already informed above.However, when i switch on my mobile internet, all the new emails start coming to my inbox, which means that there is some problem with WiFi network.
What I am supposed to do which will enable me to receive all the office emails while on this routers WiFi network. Its giving me a hard time.

I am having a problem in which when ever I check "Computer" later on in the day, one of the network drives is duplicating itself over and over using a different drive letter each time. By the end of the day if untouched I can have approx 20 of them!To give you more information about the scenario, the computer is on Windows 7 pro, it is on a domain in which the server is 2008 r2, there are 2 network drives in total (only one is duplicating), the only 2 changes I recall that may have caused it is box.net is running on the server syncing all content on the networks drives and a new printer has been added on the network.

I've been having a problem with my wireless network connection. Whenever I try and hit the Repair function,it will get stuck on Renewing your IP address for a moment, then change to: Windows could not finishing repairing the problem because the following action cannot be completed: Connecting to the wireless network. I have internet connection on this same computer.Another point to make is that when I click Repair and navigate to the Network Connections window, then hit F5 ( refresh the window ), the wireless connection will quickly refresh and connect normally without error.I won't have to open the Network Connections page and hit F5 anytime I need to repair the connection? Also, as of right now, it's still "Acquiring network address" even though I'm connecting and typing this message.

I used to have an old G5 tower running OS X 10.5 (Leopard) which I was using as a file server. In this tower I had a USB dock connected where I could plug in 2.5 inch drives from my archive and then access them over the network by connecting to the G5.
Last week I upgraded my "fileserver" and I am running OS X Mountain Lion Server on a regular Mac Pro tower. When I connect to my new fileserver via Finder I am only able to see the local hard drives but none of the external ones. I can add a share-point for the external drives but that is not very practical since I am always connecting different drives from the archive.
So what I would like to have is that when I plug in an external drive to my file server it shows up in the network shares without me having to create a share-point for every different drive I connect.

I am running Windows 7 and I use a ZyXEL ZyAIR G-220 Wireless USB adapter for internet. I had a virus called something like Cloud AV 2012 so I used Malware Bytes to remove it and it worked just fine. However, now the internet does not seem to work (there's that yellow triangle with the exclamation point) and when I try to run diagnostics, the message "Windows could not automatically detect this network's proxy settings" comes up. So far, I've tried rebooting, disabling proxies in all of my browsers, and running scans, And I also cannot system restore, because apparently windows security was turned off and there are no restore points

I'm on windows 7 btw.When I diagnose the problem it says: Windows could not automatically detect this networks proxy settings I'm connected to the internet via cable on my laptop. Yes I'm using a router. The other computers connected to the router can connect to the internet but mine can't. It also says "unidentified network - no internet access" when I click on the computer icon in the bottom right corner of the screen. until I downloaded from a music site which gave me the virus I think. Now, I'm not certain if the virus is removed or not. I tried system restore point but it won't even let me restore my computer anymore for some reason, maybe because of the virus.

I'm using my old laptop now. On my regular laptop, my internet icon has the yellow triangle and when I trouble shoot it, the message says "Windows could not automatically detect this network's proxy settings".Recently I noticed my computer was heating faster (and hotter) than usual so I ran a search again and it said no threats were found. I have ran the search twice since then and still nothing. I was advised to use ccleaner,malwarebytes, and Super Anti-Spyware. It removed one other threat but the problem was still there. I then started using combofix, but I did not like the look of it so I stopped that scan. It seemed a little sketchy. As of this morning, I'm having the internet problem. My old laptop (the one I'm on now) and my girlfriend's laptop work fine. I connected it with the Ethernet cord and that didn't change anything. I have Windows 7. It's on a 2010 Samsung (I'm not very tech savvy so I'm not sure about all the other details).

I'm using CentOS 6 in a virtual environment. When cloning a virtual version of CentOS, the old eth adapters are "removed" and replaced with new ones and net MAC addresses. However, the ifcfg-ethn files still exist. I am trying to figure out how to get CentOS to automatically rescan & recreate the network adapters / eth files, just like it did on install. url...
I know there is a quick way to do this in the GUI, but we are using a server so GUI does not apply in this case.
however Kudzu has been removed as of Centos 5 so I would rather avoid that. There is a procedure that Linux runs on initial install - what that is so I can manually trigger it?

I have a windows 7 desktop with an SSD and regular mechanical hard drive where I keep my data. I also have a laptop with a small SSD as well. I wanted to keep the laptop free of non-critical data so I decided to setup a file share between my desktop (Windows 7 home prem) and my laptop (Windows 7 pro). I was able share the files and navigate to my desktop through my laptop. I successfully mapped the folder as a network drive and all was well. Then I rebooted and I was disconnected from it, it remembered that it was there but I needed to manually connect to it and I needed to provide my login credentials. There is no password just a username.
What is causing this and is there a way to get around this? Also is there a way to set a timeout because if my desktop is not on and I want to use my laptop, the boot times are much longer compared to when I don't have the mapped network drive on my laptop at all.

I'm trying to see if I can fix my friend's NAS which apparently has some pretty important data on it that wasn't saved anywhere else. They actually had the Geeksquad look at it and they've come to the same conclusion I have so far, but I figured I would ask the internet before I gave the thing back to them and said Geeksquad was right.
Anyways, they have this 5 drive RAIDed NAS which apparently just stopped showing up on their network. I borrowed it from them to see if I could figure it out. It turns on just fine and my router assigns it an IP address, but the IP address just takes me to a blank LaCie dashboard screen. It's weird because it's clearly running it's web server because it's just a gray background with an empty white box and "(c) LaCie 2010" at the bottom. No content at all.
Additionally, I tried installing the LaCie Network Assistant on my home computer and it says it cannot find any network disks. I've tried the "wake up a device" where I enter the mac address, but that doesn't do anything.
All the lights are solid blue on the front and over all the drives so it doesn't appear a drive has failed or something. Even so, that wouldn't really explain the blank dashboard right?
