I want to access server with different account names at times. After google search, I found that it is something related to "net use drive: /delete" but we usually access different drives so I wonder how to cancel all the drives and what is the exact command.
View 1 RepliesI have a Iomega Prestige hard drive of 2TB connected to my Linksys E3000 router.I have logged into the router with an admin account, yet I am unable to delete most files. When I try to delete something I get the following error.When I click "Try Again" the file seems to be gone, but it has actually just become invisible, it's still there.I've tried to use Take Ownership, but that just gives an error "Access denied"according to the router settings I should have read and write permissions.When I connect the drive directly to my PC there are no issues.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure if this is a recent issue for our setup, but I've only just noticed it. Although most authenticated users are shown by their correct user names (which are required for 802.1x authentication), a few users show up in the WCS reports as "anonymous", and one as "anonymous@myabc.com", which are not valid usernames on our network.
I can track these users by MAC via our network registration database, but have not yet figured what makes their systems unique. All three in yesterday's report are Win 7. I don't see anything strange in the RADIUS logs, but have not yet caputured "debug" traces of wireless authentication from an anonymous user.
We are running WCS 7.0.172.0 , with a pair of WLC 4402 controllers running 7.0.116.0 . Our WPA2 Enterprise auth uses TTLS/PAP, with the SecureW2 supplicant for Windows.
I moved to Comcast internet yesterday (from 3Mbps DSL), and the E4200 seems to be working well (although somewhere along the way it decided to delete all the files on the NAS drive...an issue for another day). On my laptops and wired PCs I'm now seeing 15-20Mbps down, and 4Mbps up. However, when I connect with my iPhone 3GS, I only see about 7.5Mbps down, and 4Mbps up using online speedtests. I have tried messing with the router settings and resetting all the network settings on the iPhone but nothing changes. I know my iPhone can handle more, because I get 15Mbps down when I visit family (they have a Netgear N300). I can only conclude that my E4200 is the cause.

I thought that it may be because I only have a single public address so the web server is responding to port forwarding through the one public IP already. looking in ASDM it appears to indicate that a configured access list is blocking the server from responding to the internal hosts.

Can I fix an access list (or something) to make this work or am I wishing for too much with only one public IP? This worked by default on my Netgear firewall.
Two Access Switch(2960) are connected to each other and they are connected to Core Switch ( 6509), problem is the user's connected to Access switch cannot access Share drive which are on Servers , this servers are also connected to core on the first module ,,, so the user are not bale to open their share drive , it is opening but taking too much time?

View 9 Replies View Related I ran into a very interesting problem that occurred today and I'm trying to figure out why it happened. If it was one ASA 5505 that just required the reboot, then I'd have just chalked it up to a glitch, but when we built a new AD/ DNS server on the main network at the main site and changed the 3 Remote site ASAs to point to the new DNS server in the DHCPD options, none of them could ping any local host names to the DNS server at the main site they were now pointing too, but external host names { URL} all translated and pinged fine.
From a laptop on one of the remote sites, we could ping the new AD/DNS server(192.168.0.3) and the old AD/DNS server(192.168.0.2) and everything else at the main site, and telnet to port 53 showed successful across the Easy VPN from the Remote site to the new server at the main site. When wire shark was added to the new DNS server at the main site, the DNS request and replies for {URL}, for example, came and worked fine, but any requests for local resources never made it to the server from the remote sites.
A reboot of one of the Remote Site ASA's corrected the issue. Then I rebooted the other two remote site ASAs, and now DNS was working fine for everybody. I had also tried clearing the ARP cache on the ASAs before resorting to rebooting them. I also tried rebooting the laptop thinking the local DNS cache needed cleared before resorting to rebooting the ASAs. I'm struggling to understand why external, public host names made it through and resolved from the remote sites to the new server at the main site, but anything local failed before even reaching the new server(The new DNS server could resolve requests made by computers at the main site, but the remote sites that traverse the Easy VPN from the ASAs failed). The new AD/DNS server is the only server configured for DNS for all remote site computers.
Is any of this making sense? I'm wondering if clearing the x late or local host tables would have corrected it without having to reboot. I'm just trying to grasp the understanding here and figure out what happened.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Windows 2003 SP2 server with a shared folder. This folder is accessed by 2 people on a regular basis. The problem we are experiencing is when a folder is created by user A, it cannot be moved by user B (and vice versa), as it says the folder is in use.The exact error is: Error Moving File or Folder.Cannot move <filename>: Access is denied.Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use.I have explicitly set full control for both users on the folder. The drive has 70GB of 500GB remaining. I have also used File Server Management to verify the files were not in use when they were being moved.The server is Windows 2003, SP2. Domain environment, with all relevant users having permissions on the folder, and the everyone account removed. Any other operation inside the shared folder works fine.

We are running ACS 5.2 patch 6 and want to restrict access for users to be able to add devices to the system.For example, admin person in site A can only add devices into the site A group and cannot see/access other sites groups.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi'm trying to setup a local DNS server to manage small office local-only domain names for our servers. i have the DNS working properly (resolving local machines and using the ISP dns if it can't). so i put the DNS server ip into the "Static DNS 1" field of the router settings. the other 2 static dns fields are empty.the problem is that the router is still using the ISP dns server as the primary and my local dns server as the secondary. i verify this in two places. first, if i go to the "status" tab, DNS 1 shows the ISP server while DNS 2 shows my local DNS server. secondly, if i connect to the wireless device with a linux-based machine, the /etc/resolv.conf file shows the nameserver ips in the same incorrect order.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have set up a filezilla server, and connected to it, and was able to access my files in the main drive (C:/), but at this point the unsolvable problem for me has to do with being able to access multiple drives wirelessly.Filezilla's FAQ says it has to do with aliases, etc, but when I tried this, my main drive dissappeared and I was only able to access the alias drive.All I wanted to do was back my Android's content up to my computer. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a domain with a domain controller Server 2003. I have a backup dc running an application with server 2008. The shared folder I am trying to access is on an nt server 2000. We have had a mapped drive "I:" and have used it for years. Our copier also scans to a shared folder on the server 2000 machine. All of the desktop systems are xp sp3 with one W7 machine. A couple of weeks ago when user attempted to access the shared/mapped drive, an error would occur that "the drive was in use and they could not be logged on". Sometimes the error would say "you don't have permission to access the drive." Mind you no settings have been changed on the network. When either of these errors would occur it would occur for everyone but if I rebooted the server everyone could connect again. The same errors would occur the next day or 6 - 8 hour later. Now the error has occured "Drive is already in use and you cannot be logged in" (I have tried drive Z as well the drive is not in use) and restarting the serever no longer works. No one can access the shared drive. I have unmapped the drive on my system and have attempted to reconnect, I enter the path and check reconnect at logon and it asks for a password. I enter the administrator password (which is what I always used) and it just pops right back up asking for a password as if I entered nothing. I can ping the server with the shared folder and even logon remotely so I know it is not a physical disconnect. I am not sure what changed and have followed many suggestions found to no avail. We cannot access the shares or scan.

View 2 Replies View RelatedEA 4500 seems to work fine. Have a Seagate 3 TB HD connecfed to USB. Have LG Smart box connected to EA4500 by Cat5e cable. HD hard drive contents shows and accesses ok on PC via wireless. Smart box showed HD but only media files in "documents" directory, did not show "TV" & "Movies" directories.
Reset Router Media Server Access with "TV" & "Movies" directories - presto LG smarbow showed directories now and worked fine. This morning will no longer show "TV" & "Movies" directories on Smart box. Have tried deleting and resetting Router Media Server Access with "TV" & "Movies" directories several times, no luck.
I just installed this router and connected the hard drive (Western Digital 1TB) which worked fine at first. When I moved some movie files to another folder they lost all of their data. The file names are still present, but all the media files show zero bytes and are no longer usable. Is there anyway to get these files back? I have been digitizing all our movies to the tune of about 90GB. What could be going on here? I disconnected the HD from the router and plugged directly into the laptop. Still shows the file names, but each file is still at zero bytes. Not a cool way to have a media server for your house!

View 3 Replies View RelatedFor the past few months, I have been using a Buffalo drive (formatted as FAT) as a media server to function as my network drive for iTunes. Unfortunately, I have recently noted in the last 2-3 weeks that, when copying new files, the file size changes to zero bytes. I do not seem to have this problem when i plug the drive directly into my computer via USB, only when adding files over the network. I spoke to tech support, who said, based on the story in that files can be correctly transferred when directly connected, it appears to be a network problem.
I am running OS 10.8 with iTunes 11 (but also occurred with iTunes 10) and using version 1.0.04 on the E3000.
Windows Server 2003, XP and W7 desktops. I have a growing number of user folders that are seemingly in the wrong place. When I am looking at the directories locally on the server, there are some document folders that are directly in the Users folder, rather than existing as subfolders within a user's folder. In fact, the user's folder is not present at all. So rather than Joe Smith's folder structure being 'Users/jsmith/', there are a series of folders under 'Users' that are named 'Documents'. As I click on each one though, I see in the address bar 'Users/jsmith' etc. In the tree, there is no folder named jsmith, but in the address bar there is. And in the address bar, there is no folder named 'Documents'.This seems to be limited to newer users and older users who have Windows 7 PCs, but I don't know for sure if that's the source of the change.

Sometimes I can just unrestrict access, other times it's grayed out and I have to drop the DB and restart the services to take it out of single user mode.

The user used the domain login - not the local machine account - he obviously wasn't able to access any shared resources, but how did he log in with a domain account, when the server and switch were both off?
