Wireless :: Can Send Emails But Not Receive Them?
May 5, 2011I recently migrated keeping my original email address. All went well, except I am unable to receive emails from one of my contacts. I can send to this individual successfully, but when the contact tries to respond the reply kicks back to him telling him that there was a delivery notice failure. I have been using this router for around 8 to 9 months now. Everything was working fine till one week back. Now I am facing problem with my office emails. I cannot get my office emails while on WiFi network. Outlook is not able to connect to my office server and I don't receive my emails. Rest everything works fine. Initially i used to get all the emails while using this WiFi router. When I connect my internet cable directly to my laptop, i am able to receive all the emails in my office outlook inbox.
I am also using my Samsung Galaxy S3 on this WiFi network. And my office outlook is configured in it. I am facing the same problem with my phone as well, it started recently, around one week back, as already informed above.However, when i switch on my mobile internet, all the new emails start coming to my inbox, which means that there is some problem with WiFi network.
What I am supposed to do which will enable me to receive all the office emails while on this routers WiFi network. Its giving me a hard time.
Linksys Wireless Router :: E4200 USB Drive Permissions Read-Only Files
Aug 21, 2011If Anonymous Disk Access is selected, read-only files cannot be deleted; nor can the file attributes be changed. This is true even if one attempts to connect as an administrator. Unchecking Anonymous Disk Access and logging on as an administrator fixed this problem for me, but I'd think there are 2 issues.
1. Anonymous Disk Access should allow deletion of ANY files. I would expect this to be a "wide open" setting.
2. If Anonymous Disk Access is selected, a valid login should take precedence.
Cisco Wireless :: WAP4410N Firmware Upgrade Turns AP Into Read-Only Device
Oct 16, 2012My WAP4410N AP is running version 2.0.2.1 firmware which is quite old. There are newer firmware releases available which I'd like to upgrade to (fix the known bugs, etc.).
So I upgrade my firmware from version 2.0.2.1 to any of the following versions:
- 2.0.3.3
- 2.0.4.2
- 2.0.5.3
The AP reboots and my settings are all still there.
I go to change any of the settings I have - DNS, Time Zone, PSK, any field which can be edited and click Save.
The Save takes place and the screen refreshes to the old settings - the new settings don't stay in place after the Save.
I've also factory defaulted the AP prior to the upgrade, upgraded and then been in the same place unable to save any changed settings.

I have HDD (Toshiba 500GB) connected to router by USB and started media sharing. (The HDD is started on USB Sharing) Samsung LED UE40D7090 (2011 model) is successfully connected to network,. I can see TP-Link on my LED network but it appears with blue exclamation mark and if i try to access the released folders with files (i can see the files) with TV shows me a message "unknown file formatt" and i can�t access it. On the PC - I can access video, pictures and mp3 content on USB HDD, problem just with TV. If i connect the HDD direct to TV , TV can play all files.

- Download all drivers for my laptop which compatible Win 8 64 bit by using my service tag .
- Install Win 8 (format disk label C)

- Set up all other downloaded drivers
All devices work perfectly except the wireless card. In Device Manager, there is still an unrecognized device name Network Device. I know that is the wireless card.If I run my backup to Win 7, everything is normal.

Mar 28, 2012my router cant receive any internet from my modem. my internet ip when it is connected is 0.0.0.0 . when my modem is directly connected to the computer, it works fine, i can access the internet, but when it's connected on the router, this problem occur. iv'e tried the solution on the e300(something , i have forgot ) but it didnt work for me. my ISP is DSL btw. i have brought my router on the shop and it works fine. i even brought my CPU at the shop and used my router there and it works also just fine. Jan 27, 2011I'm having trouble connecting using this new card i bought. i have installed the latest drivers and i can find networks and the signal strength is good too but when trying to connect after ive entered the passkey i get the message " no network found" or "did not receive response from router" or something along those lines. i can connect with my older card which is a wmp54g but that one shows less signal strength and my connection breaks from time to time (hence the upgrade to wmp600n) on a sidenote, my wmp600n card works perfectly fine under linux but i want it to run in windows (mainly for gaming) Im running windows vista 64 bit and the wmp600n has the latest drivers installed.

Feb 21, 2012Suddenly after more than a year of running fine, my wap seems to be giving all clients a bad DNS suffix which of course breaks DNS resolution internally (no problem with internet resolution). Jan 26, 2011We updated our business website in December and moved the hosting to our web designer's servers.Very shortly afterwards, we discovered that we could not view our own website, nor access our emails, which are hosted through our web domain name via cPanel.We run two Apple Macs through a Linksys router connected by two ethernet cables. We also have a Vonage internet phone connected to the network, which works either connected directly to the modem, or routed through the Linksys.We had this set up since March and had never had any problems until we had the new website. We don't know if its related, or just a coincidence.
We first went through a process of elimination:
First we connected the computers directly to the modem (one at a time, as obviously both can't connect directly) and we could access our emails and website absolutely fine. Not a solution though, as we need access on two machines.This led us to believe the problem was with the router. Both the Linksys and the Vonage device (box that the phone is plugged into, which is in turn connected to the internet) work as routers and we could view both router's home pages through their ip addresses.
We first called Vonage customer support, and no matter what they suggested in the nearly 2 hour call, nothing worked.We found a solution that suggested changing the MAC address of our router. After looking at the settings of the Vonage box, we couldn't work out how to change the MAC on this, so we changed the MAC of the Linksys instead - and it worked. We could view our emails and website again.However, plugging the Vonage box back in resulted in us losing access to our emails and website again. The set up solution worked for about a day before the same problems came back.
So we again unplugged the Vonage phone device and just ran our two Macs from the Linksys router - all fine, for a bit.A couple of days later the emails and website became inaccesible again. In desperation I changed the Mac address of the Linksys router and we were up and running again.
This solution worked for another day or so, until the old problems arose again.Now, whenever we reset the Mac address of the Linksys, it works, but emails and the website become inaccesible sometimes as soon as half an hour afterwards, sometimes longer, but however long we can gain access to the emails for, we constantly have to stop to reset the router, then restart everything.We now know that its nothing to do with the Vonage phone, so I'm discounting that from the equation now. Also, we've just tried running each of our computers in turn when plugged directly into the modem via an ethernet cable. Interestingly, one machine works fine, and can access the emails and our website, but the other machine now can't access the email or the website, but loads all other sites fine. Is this significant?
We've been reading up on our problems again, and it has been suggested that the issues are being caused by the website/email server blocking our ip address and that we can solve this issue by having a static ip address instead of the dynamic one that Virgin Media assigns. As we are on a home broadband service, we understand that this isn't possible though. Surely, if Virgin reassigns ip addresses every session, our ip would be constantly changing, therefore if we were blocked by the website server, wouldn't it be more likely to be blocking a static one, not one that is constantly changing? And also, how come one of our machines can access the emails etc when directly connected to the modem, but the other can't?
Other solutions proposed have been:
-Get a new router
-Move our website to a new server
-Move our emails to a new server and access our own website through a proxy.
