I have a IP Camera client app on my Nook Color (modified android based. Has select android apps available)) and would like to stream my laptop's webcam to it. The user agent's available in the settings of the client are:
Internet Explorer 6
Internet Explorer 7
Netscape 3.x
Nexus One 2.2.1 US
Galaxy Tab 2.2 France
IP Cam Viewer 3
Here is the app on Google Play [URL]
How would I setup VLC to stream my webcam as a ip camera so I can view it with my app?
I recently bought 3 DCS-920 to monitor my home while at the office. However I can't seem to get the damned things to stream video using the dyndns service. I linked my router to the dyndns account and host service. I portforward the ports my cameras are assigned. Up to this point its all good, I can access the cameras and their settings pages while outside. However both the Java and ActiveX options for video streaming do not work. Even within the network, using their raw IPs to view the cameras the videos stream works. But putting in the hostname and port they are assigned brings up the camera page, but no video.I can only assume the ports the video and audio run on are seperate, as when I put one camera's IP in the DMZ host on my router, it works with the DNS. Unforunately I can only do that with 1, and I'd rather not do that at all.
way for one to view a camera stream without a username and pass? We are upgrading from older dlink cameras, I don't have the model handy. Previously we could just use the applet and it would display, I copied the applet from the new one but it requires a login to view.
I'm trying to programatically access the MJPG stream from my DCS-930L camera from outside of the DLINK software. Any correct URL for MJPG? Is there any way to view the website contents from this camera so I can hunt this down, or any technical documentation on it?
I asked a question recently about accessing camera via a smartphone but I realize that's not really the correct question. The smartphone works fine locally with wifi and has a browser available.
The real question I have is what is the easiest way to access any camera via a browser from a remote location. Years ago tech friend assisted me access my DCS-910 using dyndns.org. It was free and worked great. I guess it went away when they started charging for a basic account.
Is there an easy way to access a camera without using dyndns even if it involves putting in an IP address instead of a convenient domain name? I would just like to see at least one of my cameras in a browser off-site. If I have to pay $20/year for dyndns I can but I would prefer not to if possible.
I've spent months looking for an HD camcorder that could be used as a webcam. Sony has confirmed that none of their camcorders function as webcams and I haven't had much luck with JVC addixxion which turned out to be rubbish. I'm using Windows 7 ultimate.
have hp omni 100 with winows 7 home premium and built in webcam, wanted to be able to either turn it on when i leave home or better yet turn it on from work and be able to monitor my residence dont have alot of money to spend on it
I have a DSL router connected to a D-Link router. I have an IP Webcam connected to the D-Link router at address 192.168.0.xxx. The D-Link router is connected to the DSL router via 192.168.1.xxx. I need to connect from a computer on the DSL router to the webcam on the D-Link router. I have tried port forwarding on the D-Link to the fixed IP address on of the webcam and accessing via 192.168.1.xxx ort without any luck. I have shut down the firewall on the D-Link.
Both the webcam and the D-Link have fixed IP addresses. I can access the webcam when I am connected to the D-Link router and I can connect to the D-Link router when I when I am connected to the DSL router. But I cannot connect to the webcam on the D-Link router from the DSL router.
I have been trying to connect my webcam inside and outside my network. I had it working until I set up my buffalo router. I see my wireless webcam (1st floor) from my pc (2nd floor). I cannot connect through the internet outside of my network.
I have dyndns service which worked on my android and from pc at work. Now with the Buffalo router I cannot. It appears that DDNS is configured correctly on the Foscam and I have wireless configured on the router - it pics up the MAC address but only displays an * in SSID field that should be "Nursery".
If port forwarding is required, I have it set up, but not sure that is correct. I believe my Buffalo router is the N300 DD-WRT
I have a H.264 web cam with a built in server attached to a 1 watt Powerlink(N) router(bridge) connecting wirelessly outside (100 feet)to my Dlink 655. My computer connects wirelessly(60 feet) through the house via a 1 watt Powerlink USB adapter to the 655 also. It was the Network from hell to get up and going, but it is functional? now.I have the Dlink with a web server port open outputting the video. I can access internal and externally via IE with a Dyndns domain so its all working.Dlink says I'm getting 80-160mbps from the web cam and 25-55mbps from my computer. The Problem: Camera server comes up fine and starts to stream great video for 2-5 seconds then its like the bandwidth gets used up and it gets choppy, stalls for long periods ETC ETC. I have Nat TCP and UDP set to End point independent if that makes a difference.
I am using the android phone with software IP WEBCAM and it works fine to view video withiin the same wireless network for android phones and computers.I have to just type[URL] I want to use it to in my home ( Wireless Connection 1 )on my laptop to see the video of my office( Wireless Connection 2 ) using android phone, but the problem here is it says port forwarding should be enabled to wireless d-link 600 router and then the http:<ip address>:<port> should be accessed?
I urgently need to create a DCS-930L java script for a my website so that the streaming images (different from the visible images on the "my dlink service") can be viewed by visitors even if my PC is off and only router work.In the Modem/router Linksys WAG 320N I opened port 80 (port forwarding) but I can not see them on the web.

I have a 655 and two TVs. One is connected to my network by a Samsung 5700 Blu Ray player, and the other is connected by x box. The x box is 20 ft away from my router and the Blue Ray is about 60 away with one wall between. The x box pulls movies down and plays them no problem, and Blue Ray takes about a minute for loading the moving, will start playing but them pauses several times throughtout the movie showing the loading sign on screen.
Time for me to update my router. I have been using a Dlink DGL-4300 for 8 years now and never had a problem with it until now. It can't stream HD wirelessly, so I need to get an N router. What's the cream of the crop these days?
I was thinking of going with the DIR-825 or the DIR-835. How have Dlink's router quality faired over the past few years?
i often want to watch a live streaming but after a while i disconnect from the internet with no apparent reason.Sometimes the internet comes back in some seconds, sometimes in minutes, sometimes in hours and sometimes it just wont come back even if i reset the modem.Restarting the laptop always works...!I saw some threads in regard of the same matter but i couldnt work anything out.
My new Samsugn blu ray player must be connected to the cable modem at the same time as my PC to stream movies says Netflix. Only problem is there is only one HDMI connection back there. I do not wish to by surrounded by RF so I want to go with cables. What is the best way to proceed? I repeat, I do not wish to have a wireless router.
How does one set up a live cam and live stream to four sites at the same time. Being able to chat and view simultaneously to all four sites working on one p.c ?. Application is teaching with interaction from students to different sites /
I am able to stream audio from a website when i connect directly to my cable modem but when the router is connected it doesnt work. I have tried resetting the router, ping the website and get "request timed out"The firmware is up to date version 2.25 I have tried other computers that access the same network and they also cant stream the audio.I have also turned off my windows 7 firewall with no luck I can access other sites I visit and stream audio just fine so I wonder if the router may be blocking something on this website? Is there a way to allow an audio stream to come through that may be blocked by the router?
I have a readynas duo connected by cable to my dir 825,and i want to stream movies from the nas to my zbox, wich has W7 32bit and a sitecom dual N usb adapter, but it seems my wireless speed is to slow for mkv and m2ts(playback stutters),when i copy a file from the nas to my zbox i get 7,60MB using a 1,33gb file, when i copy the same file from the zbox to the nas speed is a little better around 8.20MB.all my devices are in the same room.
I need to block the multimedia streaming to a certain group of users accessing my wireless connection.I'm using squid as my proxy server and the users are registered on a LDAP database. A RADIUS server provides authentication.
I am trying to stream videos from my windows 7 desktop to my Xbox 360. When I try to do it through windows media player it doesn't work. But when I use some third party software like tversity, my Xbox and pc can communicate perfectly. why does it only work through tversity and not wmp?
I am wanting to make my desktop wireless I have a D LINK dual band wireless router now. My laptop is wireless and works fine my desk top is hardwired to router. Thinking of moving my moden and router to TV and making my desktop wireless and hardwireing my media server I think it called ( still yet to be bought still doing home work on which one to get and how to hook up ) Thinking less signal loss be hardwired to media server. I now have AT&T DSL 1.5 MB upgrading to 6.0 MB to stream netflicks . Do you think 6 MB will steam OK? Should I Go with just a USB adapter or go to PCI internal Adapter? In reading some of the other post seems hit or miss on adapter seeing and working with routher. Is there a brand or type of adapte I should look at? as I said Desktop will now be wireless media hardwire dose this sound like the way to go about doing this? Any media server that seems to work better than others . not doing x box or Wii not a gamer just want to stream Netflix without buffering and as good a picture as Poss.
