Two Devices Need Accessing From One External IP?

I have two devices in my office which both need to be accessible externally. One is an FTP server (Hermstedt Stingray), the other is a NAS drive (Lacie). I don't have a static IP so have instead configured an account with DYNDNS. My understanding is that by using this method, only one device will be ever be accessible because of the one single dynamic IP. Is this correct? Or is there a way of configuring something somewhere (DYNDNS, router etc) so that both my devices can be accessed externally.

We have a D-Link DIR655 wireless router on our network. I have purchased two Seagate 1TB network storage units and would like to have one for me and one for my wife. It seems that the router will not support two, because they try to access the same port. How can I plug these two storage units to the router and have access for each of us to one device?

I recently purchased the dir-655 router, and am impressed by it's speed. I had no problems configuring the router to my liking, and have found that all of my wireless devices communicate with it flawlessly.
However, my main reason for purchasing this router was for the USB port. I had hoped to connect my 2TB external drive and have it accessible by all wireless devices in my home. To my understanding, the USB port relies on the use of the Shareport Utility. I've installed the Shareport Utility to my laptop for wireless access to my media files for streaming.
Here's my problem. How can I access my media on my external HDD connected to the dir-655 with Apple TV2? I've read several options for PS3 users... and they all seem to involve leaving the pc/laptop running. I would ultimately like to bypass the necessity of leaving my laptop on... but if that's not a possibility, I can live with it being left on.
Therefore, is it possible to access the external drive connected to the dir-655 with my Apple TV 2 by using the laptop as a bridge? Can I access the content via Apple TV by using Windows SMB just as I currently do to access media stored on my laptop?
To summarize, I want to have access to the media on my external drive connected to the dir-655 via Apple TV2.

I want to know whether NAT loop back is possible with the RV220W router/firewall, or when can we expect a firmware update that addresses this?For terminology sake, what I mean is that I've got a rule that maps HTTP/S to 192.168.1.2. However, when accessing my external ip from an internal ip, I don't get routed to 192.168.1.2.

Accessing exteral address internally.
I have a mail server, with external access which works fine for external access thorugh our router (a 1941). I have a laptop which connects to a wireless network that is inside our router. When attempting to navigate to the webmail or use outlook, it cannot connect.
The laptop is configured to access the mail through the external path as it would be offsite occasionally.
I think the problem seems to be that the traffic is not leaving the router to come back internally. The laptop can ping the external address ok.
I read about something called hairpinning - is this what i need to be looking at?

I have a Cisco 5505, 2 sites that are internal, 1 external IP (dhcp from cable modem). While on my laptop, ipad, iphone, I cannot access the server via it's external IP address. I MUST use the internal IP in order to access this site. I have heard of hairpinning, internal dns server(don't really want this).

Recently I'm having issues with accessing local services via external IP. Short description of configuration:
- sub.mydomain.com pointing to my external IP.
- few web services running on my local server with reverse proxy on Apache 2
- firewall on router enabled
- ips on router disabled
- single port forwarding: WAN 80->Lan 443, WAN 443->LAN 443
- accessing my services via sub.mydomain.com/service1, sub.mydomain.com/service2, etc

Basicaly if I go no matter if I type http or https I will be redirected on 443. That configuration has beed working without any issues for a month. Recently I have increased the amount of DHCP users and suddenly it's not working any more. I can still access my services from outside but not from LAN.Restarting router does the trick for a while,sometimes for few minutes, sometimes longer.Enabling IPS is the way to go but then I'm limited to around 22Mbit/s. I have no idea what happend.What I can't understand that it was working, suddenly it's stopped and there are two solutions, either to enable IPS or to restart router?

we recently upgraded from an RVS4000 router which didn't have this issue.
the problem; Internal users from Site A cannot access the external owa address.From Site A i can successfully ping both the external/internal IP addresses/names and they resolve correctly, including pinging the address ('mail.company.com") resolves correctly to the external ip address.

I have a Netgear modem/router [DGN1000] (192.168.0.x) that serves as a the router for network 1 and also as the internet gateway. I have a Cisco [E4200] (192.168.1.x) router connected to the Netgear modem via the WAN port on the Cisco. This serves as the router for network 2.
DHCP is turned on for both routers. I can access all devices on network 1 using any device o network 2 including the Netgear modem configuration page, but I cant access any device on network 2 from network 1. Is it possible to have access to devices from both networks? [URL]

Just upgraded my system. I am using D-Link 615 as access point hardwired LAN to LAN to ActiveTec MI424WR N capable Verizon Fios Wireless Modem/Router. The Fios Router is set up with WPA2 security. Intend on having three 615s as Access Points off of ActiveTec. Have a number of wireless devices accessing the network. Have followed instructions from manual to use 615 as Access Point, disabling UPnP and the DNCP Server function on the 615. My ActiveTec IP address is 192.168.1.1 and I changed the 615 to 192.168.1.50. I can type this IP address in my browser and get to the 615 set-up.
I have tried a couple different options in naming the SSID on the 615 set-up. If I name the SSID on the 615 the same as the ActiveTec router, when I go to Connect to a wireless signal where there is overlap, there are two signals that one can connect to, named the same SSID, the Fios is WPA2 secured and the 615 is not. Shouldn't these all be on one SSID? It seems that I have two different networks (different SSIDs) instead of one (rather than the 615 simply serving as an extension of the Fios router as a wired remote access point) with different security protocols (WPA2 and None). The SSID name almost seems meaningless. If I name the 615 SSID the same as the Fios router SSID or something different, I still have the option of selecting one SSID that is secure and one that isn't. If I try to connect to the SSID name associated with the 615 I can get on without providing a password.How do I make it so that one can walk around and go from one area to the next and seamlessly move to the best signal? I did read to select different sets of channels for each access point.

I have made the presumption that packet-tracer does not look at any external devices while running - as in as long as the ports are up it doesn't matter what is on the end of them for testing purposes? I have installed my new E4200 and it works beautifully. I have several wirelss adapters and a few wired connections through powerline adapters. I also have a second VPN router attached to the 4200.I can see the wireless connected devices with the associated IP addresses. If I plug a laptop directly into the Cisco, I can of course see it.However, I can see none of the devices attatched to the powerline devices? I have a securty cam connected via the powerline and want to know the IP address. I checked with cisco technical support via chat and they said it is impossible. I have used 2 previous routers with the same configuration and can see all devices.

Currently my home network is being switched via TrendNet TEGs80G unmanaged gig switches. I have been using them for about a year now with no issues. As my home network becomes more advanced, I recently just added a Cisco ASA5505, I am thinking about swapping those unmanaged devices, 4 of them, to managed. I was looking at the Cisco SG300-10 for upstairs, and a 16 port variant for my main core. These devices do not support full Cisco IOS cli, but they are manageable with a rich feature set nonetheless. My question is, should I swap the unmanaged devices with the more expensive Cisco devices, or just keep what works and save the money until I really need to spend it. As previously stated, my home LAN works just fine as it is, however my WiFi, NTV550s, server and workstations are all on the same network. Probably not the most secure but it is what it is without VLAN support.

All of a sudden my laptop, android phone and blu ray player (all wireless devices) can't communicate with my wired devices (marantz receiver and samsung tv). Everything still connects to the internet independently but i can't for instance play music from my wireless laptop to my wired marantz receiver. I had no trouble with this last week and didn't change anything (that I'm aware of) I did get Verizon to switch out my router but it didn't solve anything. My wife's computer also cannot connect to wired devices. Lastly, if I connect my laptop with via ethernet cable it sees wired devices fine. I tried shutting off windows firewall but didn't work. I have no other firewall/virus software installed. I can ping to all devices (wired and wireless) from my laptop.

I use Sage to update my stock on a PC in my back room.I want to access that PC and open the sage program from another 2 PC's, add data, save etc.I thought a simple network would do it but not quite. Have a school which is split into 2 domains (and 2 different subnets). A logged in windows domain user from domain A needs to access a windows share on domain B. So I made a bat file on the pc in domain A to map a drive to the share on domain B, using the net use command but specifying login credentials of a domain user from domain B.The pc on domain A has it's hosts file edited so it can access the server on domain B which the share is on, ping and everything to this server works fine.I created a user in domain B with the corresponding login details as in the batch file, same un and pwd, it didn't work. If I specify the un and pwd in the batch file as the domain admin account on domain B, it works fine everytime. I'm pretty sure it's not a premissions thing as I have given the inital user that I specified in the batch file full control to the share permissions and security permissions on the share in question, it still wouldn't work.
All I can think of, but can't put into good technical words, is that this user I am specifying in the batch file not only needs to have access to the share itself but has to enter the other domain as well, would there be some protocol or something in which it does not have permissions to use effictively but the domain admin clearly does as it works fine for domain admin?

Q1/ I have 2 WinXP laptops on the network. One is WinXP Pro and one is WinXP HomeIn My Network Places of WinXP Home, it can see the WinXP Pro. In WinXP Pro, I have to do a search of the WinXP Home computer in order to detect its existence. WhyQ2/ In both systems, when I tried to access the other computer, a popup screen asked for password. I keyed in the proper password, but I cannot access the computer on the network. I repeatedly keying in the password but had the same result. I turned off the firewall on both systems. Same problem existed. On both systems, "File and Printer Sharing" are enabled in the Firewall exception. And on both systems, I can ping the other system without any problem

I have two subnets at my home and both run through my Cisco router. One is my private LAN with access to the Internet, ie your standard home network. The other is a semi-public network that I share with friends through an encrypted GRE tunnel system(DMVPN) over the Internet. I have a server on that semi-public network and I can access my friend's servers from my server, but not from my main PC on my private network.

I am trying to run Windows XP in a Virtual Machine on my Windows 7(64bit) system. I have a Windows XP cd, but my cd-player is broken. I shared a cd-player on a different pc and am able to access it as a shared folder. I tried copying the files to my HD and making aan ISO out of em. This worked, but my Virtual Machines(VMware Player & Oracle VM VirtualBox) don't detect it as a windows install, also tried to mount this ISO. detect the original XP cd with one of these VM's. Any way to enable the USB port of a TV to access video files held on a NAS drive?
My aim is to access the drive via wifi or ethernet.
Presumably it would need to present the drive as a mass storage device to the TV's USB port since that's basically what the port picks up.
The TV does not support DLNA and I'm trying to avoid having to buy a separate media player e.g. WD Live TV box.
