View 2 RepliesI recently installed a couple of Cisco Aironet 3600 Series Wireless Access Points at a remote site. While I was at the site everything seemed OK, The clients were able to get connected to the access points, the guest network worked fine, I could SSH into the access points, and I could ping them. The problem is when I went back to my home site I tried to SSH into the access points through an ASA IPSec VPN Tunnel and it couldn’t find it. When I try to ping the access points they “time out”. I can ping and connect all other addresses (via RDP, HTTP, etc..) on the same subnet which should rule out an access list problem. A couple of notes to be aware of:
The WAP’s have the Autonomous IOS installed (Version 15.2(2)JB) The WAP’s are connected to Dell PowerConnect 5724 (Not by choice.. We are a Cisco shop, these were already there and have plans this year to replace)
I can ping and SSH with Putty to the WAP’s from the local subnet I cannot ping or SSH from a remote subnet to the WAP’s. I can access all other IP’s and Computers from a remote subnet.
Currently in place ISP WISP Point to Point network would like some pointers to exceed in doing it right. Here are some issues.ISP Fiber 50 Megs down and 50 Megs up ( Working )What Router do I use? Looking at Cisco RVS4000 at JDT Site as main router I have routers at others towers using the 10.1.19.xxx address as wans setup.Do I pull out all routers and use only one from the JDT Site?
a. Due to Port forwarding
b. Lets say main Wan is 74.144.55.159 Lan 10.1.19.1
1. Site BTT router is assign address 10.1.19.33 Lan 192.168.6.1
a. Can I setup 74.144.55.159:85 to see 10.1.19.33?
My Point ot Point radio use different IP address to separate from lan address (10.1.19.xxx) Radios (10.1.119.xxx)1. Everything is working just want to re-design everything never thought I would grow this fast with in 2 years. Hope I explain this well enought. 90% of users are out in the country without high speed internet.
I have a little probs@a site .we have a vsat link connected to a linksys E1000 router which is pluged into a cisco 2950 switch doing DHCP to the LAN,then a WAN link configured on a cisco 2911 router on static ip which is pluged into the same switch to serve the same LAN.I have been having issues of the workstations accessing both the WAN and internet@ the same time.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the Apple Time Capsule connected to my ISP using PPPoE and it is working just fine creating a wired and wireless network. The IP address of TC is 192.168.1.1 and I have set it's DHCP range between .100 to .200Next, I wanted to add VPN to the router as I live outside the US and wanted to access some services in the US. So I got an ASUS router and flashed it with Tomato firmware.I assigned the ASUS as IP address of 192.168.1.10, connected this it to a LAN port on the Apple and used a DHCP type Internet connection to set it up. I then created a second WiFi Network and gave the DHCP range between .11 to .20Now using any Wi-Fi device, I can connect to either of these networks and browse the web just fine. The ASUS is all setup as a VPN client so any traffic going through the ASUS is through a US based VPN.

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently I'm having issues with accessing local services via external IP. Short description of configuration:
- sub.mydomain.com pointing to my external IP.
- few web services running on my local server with reverse proxy on Apache 2
- firewall on router enabled
- ips on router disabled
- single port forwarding: WAN 80->Lan 443, WAN 443->LAN 443
- accessing my services via sub.mydomain.com/service1, sub.mydomain.com/service2, etc
- I had to create a new rule in internet access policy allowing LAN, any, any to
Basicaly if I go no matter if I type http or https I will be redirected on 443. That configuration has beed working without any issues for a month. Recently I have increased the amount of DHCP users and suddenly it's not working any more. I can still access my services from outside but not from LAN.Restarting router does the trick for a while, sometimes for few minutes, sometimes longer.Enabling IPS is the way to go but then I'm limited to around 22Mbit/s. I have no idea what happend. What I can't understand that it was working, suddenly it's stopped and there are two solutions, either to enable IPS or to restart router?
I want to setup a simple VPN to allow users to access the office via the iOS (iPad/iPhone) devices. I assume I do this through:
VPN>IPsec>Basic VPN Setup
BUT, what do I enter for the "Endpoint Information" and "Secure Connection Remote Accessibility"?
Due to bandwith requirements, we need to join a network with a RV016 to a network with an RV082 via a point to point air bridge. (VPN over adls was not cutting it) fortunatelly there is line of sight.
The info
LocationA LocationB
RV016 RV082
WAN1 ADSL modem WAN1 ADSL Modem
WAN2 DedicatedIP modem WAN2 Free
WAN3..7 free
[code]....
We need LAN-B endpoints to be able to reach servers on location A and viceversa.
We pre configured two point to point radios for the tower people to install. (we could change this configs)
Topology (crude sketch)[URL]
Our questions: best port to plug the radios into the RVs WAN ports? switch ports? What rules or static routes need to be created?

192.168.1.1 is a Linksys WRT610N acting as a router and DHCP server for addresses .100 to .150
192.168.1.2 is TEW-639 with DHCP turned off and connected to the Lynksys via one of the LAN ports.
I then have a FosCam camera with IP 192.168.1.010, connected either wirelessly or via a wire on a LAN port to the TEW-639W.
Here is my problem: If the FosCam is connected wirelessly to the TEW-639W I am unable to see it from any device connected to the Linksys. If I connect the FosCam via a wire to a LAN port on the TEW-639W then I can see it from a device connected to the Linksys device. If a device is connected to the network via the TEW-639, I can see the FosCam whether it is hardwired or wirelessly connected to the TEW-639. What am I doing wrong? Why can I not see the wireless connections on the TEW-639 from a Linksys connected device?,The setup is that the internet comes in and is connected to the Linksys, which then via LAN cable and LAN ports on both devices is connected to the TEW-639, which is then connected to the camera.
