Will Not Recognize Or List Any Wireless Connections Available
Dec 31, 2012
I have a Fujitsu Lifebook Series E that used to connect to the internet but will not connect now. It will not recognize or list any wireless connections available. Actually, I can't even pull up an empty list of wireless connections available. It does have a local area connection but it says a network cable is unplugged. I know it may be a faulty wireless card but I don't know how to test it or, if it is bad, where the find it to replace it.
Every day or two my landlord's router just seems to disappear altogether . just seems to turn itself off randomly. Unplugging to reset results in good, clear signal for a while, but the problem always comes back. It affects all connected machines (not sure if it makes any difference if a macnine is connected via wire.)
I have an IBM R-40 thinkpad that I restored to original with the IBM icon and then updated it to a service pack 3 and updated anything that popped up. Now it doesn't recognize any wireless at all. I tried the FN,F5 still no luck. It has a INTEL card, Model WM3B2100 in it and it worked fine before the restore and update.
I recently had to reinstall XP and all the drivers for my friend's laptop but it seems it does not recognize any wireless connections. When I click the Choose a wireless network it says "No wireless networks were found in range" however I can use my laptop just fine.I clicked the network adapter and it says everything is running fine so I am not sure what the issue is. How to get the wireless internet working.
My son is at college and his roommates can connect to wireless, but his computer does not recognize a network. It says the settings saved on the computer do not match the requirements of the network
I have 2 4402 WLC's and am in the process of deploying 1042 APs out to sites. But The AP's wont recognize the WLC. I have configured the DNS for CAPWAP but still no dice. I have had to serial into each unit and give it a static IP and then I can see it on the WLC. Shoulsnt this be automatic?
Just built my new system and when I installed my network card drivers and utilities, a message comes up ASUS Wireless LAN card is taken apart from your desktop PC.
The power went out in the room where my desktop and router and modem and everything is located. The electrical outlet that all of those things were connected to suddenly stopped working so I had to relocate everything to the other electrical outlet in the room. Everything is working fine again, including the internet connection on my desktop, but now my laptop in the other room will not recognize my wireless connection. It gives me a list of available networks, but none of which are my own. Which makes no sense, as everything is working as normal on my desktop. I tried to "manually connect to a wireless network" by typing in the name and proper security type/encryption type and password, however it tells me a network called (my network name) already exists, and it says "use the existing network. Open the 'connect to a network' dialog so I can connect." or "choose a different name." When I choose the former option, the list of available networks pops up again but mine is not on there. And it should be, as I'm definitely in close range of my router. [code]....
I am attempting to set up a wireless connection on an HP desktop that runs Vista. I recently purchased a Belkin N150 Wireless USB Adapter (Version F9L1001). My computer, first, will not run the software CD automatically; I have to find it and double-click on it. Then, after the drivers are supposedly installed and I restart according to the instructions, my computer is unable to find them when I plug in the adapter. Additionally, when I try to start the driver program myself, it refuses to go. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver software four times and I have gotten the following same results every time. Also, I do not have a router installed yet, as we were told initially that all we would need to use to connect the desktop to our wireless Internet was the adapter
After reinstalling Vista, Vista does not recognize my wireless network. I know that the wireless network is working because my i-Touch and my blue-ray (internet streaming) still are working with the Cisco/Linksys E2000. I made sure that the wireless switch on my Gateway laptop was in the on position. The wireless hardware does not show up in the hardware control panel. Is this a driver issue or a hardware issue? It does not seem that it would be a hardware problem.
My Gateway is still under warranty thru Best Buy. If it's a hardware problem, it's covered but if it's a software problem(I take it that a driver would be software), they want $100 to fix. This is what brings me to a second question, if it's a driver issue, should I just upgrade to Window 7? Does Window 7 have build in drivers for wireless hardware?
I just bought a Wireless-N PCI adapter (WMP600N) and followed the instructions given by the CD. I installed the card into an empty slot and ran the CD to install the drivers, but error message 221 keep appearing to tell me that the computer can't see the adapter.
My computer runs on Win 7, 32-bit so I have downloaded the latest drivers for Win 7 from your website. Now I want to manually update my adapter to the Win 7-driver, but I don't know how. The adapter won't even show up in the device manager.
recently my internet got disconnected, they reconnected my internet configured my modem when i tried to connect my router ,it would connect to my comp but it said there was no internet. I reset it to factory settings via ip address and then threw the button on the router when i installed software it keeps saying that the router cannot recognize the internet and i should contact my internet provider, but my internet is working when i connect it to the comp directly?
we have tried updating the firmware, restarting the modem, etc.We are looking to connect our 2 TB WD My Book to our E4200 to share amongst the network to various gaming systems and computers , When we go to storage it says "USB Device is not Supported"
I had a Sony 8gb usb drive plugged in and was working great with my smart tv and computer..... over last weekend i unplugged the drive and had to format it to my xbox moved what i need to and hen i formatted it back to ntfs the router wont recognize the usb drive. during this i also was facing this bad gateway error 502...i downgraded my router and now using the classic but i still get a non recognizable device error.
Im looking for possibilities to remote recognize attached antennas to AP1242. I have a lot of devices which not working properly. I think most of them have only one antennas installed , but I cant be sure if its fitted into primary connector. Do You have any idea how to check numbers of attached antennas and if only one if its fitted into primary connector?
I want to disable diversity when I'll find APs with only one antennas.
Wednesday 12-12-12, purchased a Dell Inspiron 3520 with Windows 8. Installed Win 7 Home Professional and downloaded drivers for network communications. All loaded except Network Controller & BCM43142A0.I have tapped Fn + F2 (to turn on wireless) Device Manager has a yellow ! on these.Trying to update driver over Internet or HDD gets = Windows could not find driver software for your device.
When I go to Network locations to connect to a network, it says, "No connections available".When I click properties for "Network Controller", I get PCI bus 7, device 0, function 0, No driver selected Code 28 Laptop only works with wired connection?
One moment the laptop was using the wireless connection from the router in our house and the next it lost internet access and then wasn't able to recognize the SSID or connection at all on the available wireless connections. We have reset the router and restarted the laptop countless times yet the only internet access we have is on the computer the router is hooked up to.The wireless connection works neither on the laptop nor the Wii, both previously works merely hours ago and with no problems until now.We assume there is an issue with the router itself, whether it be a loose ethernet cord (which only faintly can be moved in its place). It's almost as if the router is stopping them (Wii, and laptop) from having access. When we explore the wireless internet properties on the laptop, it shows the wireless connection, yet only there and doesn't give access to it. Could it be the router, or could the company have restricted WiFi only to the computer it is hooked up to?
I have a laptop that I want to sell, therefore I went to somebody to see my laptop and wanted to connect to his wifi. After repeatedly entering the pass for the wifi ,the wifi was still not connecting.
1. My laptop will see his wifi but after entering the pass will not connect 2. The pass is correct because I introduced the same pass on my mobile and I was able to connect to his wifi through my mobile 3 My laptop wifi is working fine because when I went home it connects automatically on my home wifi 4. I tried to open and close his router but I faced same problem.
1TB harddisk partitioned into 2, an HFS+ and an exFAT. Could the exFAT partition be the reason? But I do have an HFS+ partition and it's the 1st partition on this disk.

My Iphone doesnt recognize my printer (HP Photosmart D110a) when I try to print something from it by AIRPRINT. After updated my printers and routers firmwares, the problem continues. Ive been read a lot and seems that the problem is caused by a problem with IGMP or Multitasking protocol.... But I dont find these in my routers page even after updated my firmware.

I've been using this router for almost 2 years and it has been excellent but since 2 weeks ago it has stopped recognizing anything connected to the LAN port 1 and the WAN port, so it becomes useless as a router because I cannot connect a cable modem. The cable modem was tested successfully with a direct connection to a computer but it doesn't work with the router, and also ANYTHING you connect to these ports on the router is not detected, the lights do not turn on.
Ok this is the send router this has happened to but anyway after a power blink the router no longer recognizes that i have a modem connected to it no matter how many times I reboot both of them it can't recognize that i have a modem connected i know it is not the modem because i'm using it to type this right now directly connected to my desktop
I have windows 7 Linkysy E4200 V1 Century link DSL modem 660 series
I cannot get my Toshiba Thrive to recognize my router (wrt-1209) or the other way around. I am able to get on a neighbors non-secure network immediately. No problem with the other wi-fi connected computers on my network.
I wrote down the password of my wireless router on installing it. However, each time I want to add a new device to the router, the password that I wrote down does not prompt the router to recognize the new device or equipment. How do I go back into my computer and retrieve the password to my router if I did copy it down wrongly? how to retrieve the password.
I cannot use my AE1000 device for more than twenty minutes connected on windows ultimate 64bit.AE1000 doesn't startup with Windows 7 64bit.The led light still turn on when I turned off my PC.
I bought a Wireless-N Home Router MODEL WRT120N so that I could use my new Kindle Fire online, since I could never catch an open wi-fi signal in my house. Router IS correctly installed and working fine.....but when I go to use my Kindle, I see it on the list, click on it, enter my password.......and it tells my my password must be incorrect. I KNOW it is correct! I even went and CHANGED the password just in case!
My Kindle keeps giving the message "Unable to connect to the selected Access Point. Please check the password you have provided."
I have a Studio 1555 64bit running on Windows 7, within the past few weeks, my wireless connection sporadically turns off, the wireless router is ok, I can connect wifi to my phone. My computer does not recognize any wireless networks, although there are several in the neighborhood. Sometimes it randomly comes on.
Recently got satellite high speed. Am trying to hook up the wireless router my son gave me. Installed and set up but my PC doesn't recognize it and my phone won't pick it up.
