I cannot get my Toshiba Thrive to recognize my router (wrt-1209) or the other way around. I am able to get on a neighbors non-secure network immediately. No problem with the other wi-fi connected computers on my network.

I reset it to factory settings via ip address and then threw the button on the router when i installed software it keeps saying that the router cannot recognize the internet and i should contact my internet provider, but my internet is working when i connect it to the comp directly?

- 2) NAS supporting modern USB devices, which register with multiple personalities/devices in one physical USB device.
1) Is already known by Cisco and hopefully the choose to fix it properly
2) Must be known now. Multiple users are reporting this lack of support.
NAS functionality of E4200 does not work/ gives problems with:
- Toshiba StorE Alu 2S USB 3.0, 1 TB disk. PN: PA4239E-1HJ0
- Iomega eGo 1 TB USB 3.0, (black casing) , PN 31924500, RPHD-UG3
Both drives report themself with 2 devices under Windows 7: 1x USB storage decive + 1x CD readonly device?
1TB harddisk partitioned into 2, an HFS+ and an exFAT. Could the exFAT partition be the reason? But I do have an HFS+ partition and it's the 1st partition on this disk.

I wrote down the password of my wireless router on installing it. However, each time I want to add a new device to the router, the password that I wrote down does not prompt the router to recognize the new device or equipment. How do I go back into my computer and retrieve the password to my router if I did copy it down wrongly? how to retrieve the password.
I bought a Wireless-N Home Router MODEL WRT120N so that I could use my new Kindle Fire online, since I could never catch an open wi-fi signal in my house. Router IS correctly installed and working fine.....but when I go to use my Kindle, I see it on the list, click on it, enter my password.......and it tells my my password must be incorrect. I KNOW it is correct! I even went and CHANGED the password just in case!
My Kindle keeps giving the message "Unable to connect to the selected Access Point. Please check the password you have provided."
I have a WRT54GS V7 that I have been running for a few years now with no problems until today.My wife used the internet from her laptop through the day but this evening after she moved to the bedroom and booted up the laptop, she found there was no internet connection. I tried what I know in cases like these, unplugging the router or modem for brief periods of time to try and get things going again but to no avail. So I tried using the Easylink Advisor which basically suggested the same process.
At this point, my internet connection is coming in from the cable just fine. I have access on the desktop which is wired and works with no problems. The modem and router lights are both signaling that everything is fine but no wireless internet coming from the router.
Using the desktop I tried looking for some solutions and tried resetting the router. I ultimately called customer support but being out of warranty they wanted too much although she suggested that I needed to reconfigure the router since I had reset it. I followed the online instructions for reconfiguring but still have gotten nowhere.
I am unable to get my E2000 router to recognize my Ipad2 when trying to connect.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have Linksys E3000 Router and it is connected to 7 Devices at this moment via DHCP. I have got New NAS Enclousre (8th Device) which has got Lan port . I have connected Box to One free Port on E3000 Router. I see DHCP Reservation from 192.168.0.1 assging one IP to My NAS Enclosure Box i.e 192.168.0.13 But when i ping that box . It's not pingable. When i try to browse that NAS Enclosure's setup web page - it's not opening. I can access that box setup page if i connect direct 1:1 Lan cable over private network (169.254.XXX). It means web server is runing on box. I am clueless. E3000 is assigning IP to NAS Enclosure but can't Browse or Ping. I tried to Assign Manual IP address to NAS enclusure and reconnect to router. Still I can't ping or browse.

Set up our E3000 following the set-up guide. However, wireless devices (laptop, iPhone) recognize the network, but cannot connect. There's no prompt for a password or anything.

The first is a Linksys WRT350N; the second is a Linksys WRT54G. I have the G router connected as an access point so that I can reserve the N router for the N devices and achieve N speeds.N devices:Toshiba laptop; network adapter is Intel 4965AGN.Toshiba laptop; network adapter is Atheros AR5008XLexmark Wireless printerRouter settings:WRT350N: Security Mode WPA2 Personal; Encryption AES; Network Mode N-only; Radio Band 40MHz.WRT54G: Security Mode WPA Personal; Encryption AES; Network Mode MixedThe best I can recall, I set the WRT54G to WPA Personal instead of WPA2 Personal because one of the G-compliant devices did not list the WPA2 Personal setting -- but this is based on memory only.To reserve the WRT350N for the N devices and achieve N speeds, I set the Wireless Mode to N-only and Radio Band to 40MHz., and each router broadcasts its own unique SSID. Once I set everything up, I saw a substantial increase in the link speed reported by the Toshiba Connectivity Doctor (I realize there are issues about taking these numbers at face value, but let me continue). The Toshiba Connectivity Doctor reported WRT350N link speed at 130 Mbps and everything appeared to be working well.PROBLEMUntil recently, no problems were apparent; the Toshiba Connectivity Doctor indicated the two laptops connected to the WRT350N at 130 Mbps, the printer connected to and printed via the WRT350N, and all G devices connected through the WRT54G. Recently, however, network performance declined and the Toshiba Connectivity Doctor indicated erratic link speeds ranging from 1 Mbps to 130 Mbps.I found through a little research that my quest to reserve the WRT350N router for N devices lacked one element: according to Linksys info for the router, setting the N Transmission Rate to anything other than Auto results in denying access to B/G clients.I set the N Transmission Rate to 270 Mbps (the highest setting). The Linksys printer works fine and the Toshiba Connectivity Doctor indicates a solid 130 Mbps link speed for the Toshiba laptop with the Intel 4965AGN adapter card.The other Toshiba (with the Atheros AR5008X adapter card), however, is now only able to connect to the WRT54G (the Toshiba Connectivity Doctor indicates a solid link speed of 54 Mbps to the G SSID). If I reset the WRT350N N Transmission Rate to Auto, the Toshiba with the Atheros card can once again connect to the N Router -- but the erratic link speeds and the network degradation returns also.I have verified that the Atheros AR5008X network adapter is N-compliant. There aren't many settings on the Atheros AR5008X adapter card configuration, but I can find no documentation on the Internet for this card.As far as I can determine, all firmware is up to date for both routers and all drivers are up to date for both adapter cards.I'd love to know what changed in the first place, but I'm more concerned with fixing this problem. How I can get the Atheros adapter card to connect to the WRT350N with the N Transmission Rate set to something other than Auto?

On the status page of my router underneath the PPPoE setting it has IP, Subnet Mask, and Gateway all set to 0. The only advice I was able to obrain from my ISP was to powercycle the router and modem, which I did and no change.

I know that the wireless network is working because my i-Touch and my blue-ray (internet streaming) still are working with the Cisco/Linksys E2000. I made sure that the wireless switch on my Gateway laptop was in the on position. The wireless hardware does not show up in the hardware control panel. Is this a driver issue or a hardware issue? It does not seem that it would be a hardware problem.
My Gateway is still under warranty thru Best Buy. If it's a hardware problem, it's covered but if it's a software problem(I take it that a driver would be software), they want $100 to fix. This is what brings me to a second question, if it's a driver issue, should I just upgrade to Window 7? Does Window 7 have build in drivers for wireless hardware?
I just bought a Wireless-N PCI adapter (WMP600N) and followed the instructions given by the CD. I installed the card into an empty slot and ran the CD to install the drivers, but error message 221 keep appearing to tell me that the computer can't see the adapter.
My computer runs on Win 7, 32-bit so I have downloaded the latest drivers for Win 7 from your website. Now I want to manually update my adapter to the Win 7-driver, but I don't know how. The adapter won't even show up in the device manager.
I cannot use my AE1000 device for more than twenty minutes connected on windows ultimate 64bit.AE1000 doesn't startup with Windows 7 64bit.The led light still turn on when I turned off my PC.

All of the sudden, after a storm blew through yesterday, none of the laptops in my house (PC running Vista and Mac) will recognize my wireless network. We have reset the router and restarted the laptop countless times yet the only internet access we have is on the computer the router is hooked up to.The wireless connection works neither on the laptop nor the Wii, both previously works merely hours ago and with no problems until now.We assume there is an issue with the router itself, whether it be a loose ethernet cord (which only faintly can be moved in its place).It's almost as if the router is stopping them (Wii, and laptop) from having access. When we explore the wireless internet properties on the laptop, it shows the wireless connection, yet only there and doesn't give access to it. Could it be the router, or could the company have restricted WiFi only to the computer it is hooked up to?

(The WPA2 key has NOT been changed since it was working)It has recently stopped working and I cannot see why.All other devices (Wii, two iPads, 1 iPhone) all continue to work faultlesly.I have tried numerous times to reset the WPA2 security key on the HP Printer but each time it fails to connect to the X2000.It does recognize the SSID.
