Router will not recognize the printer
Router will not recognize the printer
d-lINK n-300 (DIR-615) Wireless Router HW/Ver: E1, F/W Ver: 5.00NA
I am having a problem with the DIR-615 router seeing my printer on a wired network. The printer is a Brother HL-2170W (also capable of a wireless connection). All other network PC's connect okay. I have attempted both wired and wireless connection procedures that came with the printer with no luck. The DIR-615 router does not see the printers IP address. How can I get the router to recognize the printer?

My Iphone doesnt recognize my printer (HP Photosmart D110a) when I try to print something from it by AIRPRINT. After updated my printers and routers firmwares, the problem continues. Ive been read a lot and seems that the problem is caused by a problem with IGMP or Multitasking protocol.... But I dont find these in my routers page even after updated my firmware.
I've got a small wireless home network that currently has 2 computers - my desktop is running XP Pro, and a laptop that my wife uses running XP Home. I've recently bought a new laptop that is running Windows 7, and although it picks up the wireless feature of the network (it has wireless internet access), I can't seem to figure out how to get this new Windows 7 laptop to see the other PCs or the printer connected to my desktop. I've tried a couple of the "how-tos" online, but I must be doing something wrong. getting my Windows 7 box to see the other PCs and printer on my networkView 3 Replies View Related

E4200 does fail functionality on 2 area's:
- 1) Media Streaming Server
- 2) NAS supporting modern USB devices, which register with multiple personalities/devices in one physical USB device.
1) Is already known by Cisco and hopefully the choose to fix it properly
2) Must be known now. Multiple users are reporting this lack of support.
NAS functionality of E4200 does not work/ gives problems with:
- Toshiba StorE Alu 2S USB 3.0, 1 TB disk. PN: PA4239E-1HJ0
- Iomega eGo 1 TB USB 3.0, (black casing) , PN 31924500, RPHD-UG3
Both drives report themself with 2 devices under Windows 7: 1x USB storage decive + 1x CD readonly device?
1TB harddisk partitioned into 2, an HFS+ and an exFAT. Could the exFAT partition be the reason? But I do have an HFS+ partition and it's the 1st partition on this disk.View 1 Replies View Related

I wrote down the password of my wireless router on installing it. However, each time I want to add a new device to the router, the password that I wrote down does not prompt the router to recognize the new device or equipment. How do I go back into my computer and retrieve the password to my router if I did copy it down wrongly? how to retrieve the password.
I bought a Wireless-N Home Router MODEL WRT120N so that I could use my new Kindle Fire online, since I could never catch an open wi-fi signal in my house. Router IS correctly installed and working fine.....but when I go to use my Kindle, I see it on the list, click on it, enter my password.......and it tells my my password must be incorrect. I KNOW it is correct! I even went and CHANGED the password just in case!
My Kindle keeps giving the message "Unable to connect to the selected Access Point. Please check the password you have provided."
One moment the laptop was using the wireless connection from the router in our house and the next it lost internet access and then wasn't able to recognize the SSID or connection at all on the available wireless connections. We have reset the router and restarted the laptop countless times yet the only internet access we have is on the computer the router is hooked up to.The wireless connection works neither on the laptop nor the Wii, both previously works merely hours ago and with no problems until now.We assume there is an issue with the router itself, whether it be a loose ethernet cord (which only faintly can be moved in its place). It's almost as if the router is stopping them (Wii, and laptop) from having access. When we explore the wireless internet properties on the laptop, it shows the wireless connection, yet only there and doesn't give access to it. Could it be the router, or could the company have restricted WiFi only to the computer it is hooked up to?View 1 Replies View Related

I have a WRT54GS V7 that I have been running for a few years now with no problems until today. My wife used the internet from her laptop through the day but this evening after she moved to the bedroom and booted up the laptop, she found there was no internet connection. I tried what I know in cases like these, unplugging the router or modem for brief periods of time to try and get things going again but to no avail. So I tried using the Easylink Advisor which basically suggested the same process.
At this point, my internet connection is coming in from the cable just fine. I have access on the desktop which is wired and works with no problems. The modem and router lights are both signaling that everything is fine but no wireless internet coming from the router.
Using the desktop I tried looking for some solutions and tried resetting the router. I ultimately called customer support but being out of warranty they wanted too much although she suggested that I needed to reconfigure the router since I had reset it. I followed the online instructions for reconfiguring but still have gotten nowhere.

I have Linksys E3000 Router and it is connected to 7 Devices at this moment via DHCP. I have got New NAS Enclousre (8th Device) which has got Lan port . I have connected Box to One free Port on E3000 Router. I see DHCP Reservation from 192.168.0.1 assging one IP to My NAS Enclosure Box i.e 192.168.0.13 But when i ping that box . It's not pingable. When i try to browse that NAS Enclosure's setup web page - it's not opening. I can access that box setup page if i connect direct 1:1 Lan cable over private network (169.254.XXX). It means web server is runing on box. I am clueless. E3000 is assigning IP to NAS Enclosure but can't Browse or Ping. I tried to Assign Manual IP address to NAS enclusure and reconnect to router. Still I can't ping or browse.
#arp -a show that box has IP. (Output from MAC os) .

I can't connect to the internet on my desktop pc after I reinstalled windows. I have linksys wrt320n router and I can connect to it only by wi-fi. When I try to install router's setup wizard or network magic - it writes that my computer is not connected to router though it is connected in the same way as it was before. In the LOCAL AREA CONNECTION it is also written that network cable is unplugged...I also tryed to connect just internet cable without router - PC also didn't react. Maybe the problem is that my network adapter (nvidia nforce) is without appropriate drivers? Cause I can't find drivers for nvidia nforce networking contoller for windows 7View 11 Replies View Related

My Dell destop with Windows 7 all of a sudden doesn't seem to recognize my router, yet my laptop works fine (which I'm using now). After reading other posts, I reset the router with no results, used a new cable from the Belkin to the computer, changed ports, checked connections, restarted; nothing. When I do an ipconfig, a small window pops open and goes off before I can make anything out. I undestand Belkin's IP address is 192.168.2.1 and I'm showing that my IPv4DHCP Server is that, as is my DNS server. The IPv4WINS server shows nothing.View 9 Replies View Related
I just moved into a new apartment and inherited a former roommates internet set up. Our router was infected with DNSchanger, so I sought to reset the router and update the firmware. I reset the router and it no longer recognized the internet connection. I can connect when plugged directly into the modem, but the router doesn't recognize the internet connection. Below is my ipconfig/all log:

The TL-MR3220 takes a long time to identify the 3g modem and sometimes it will not identify it at all and says "unplugged". Sometimes "unplugged" suddenly apears after the modem has been identified and was working properly. Is this the normal behavior of this device ? Why ? What can be done ?
