Windows Cannot Communicate With Device Or Resource?

I have had clearwire for a few years, about 2 months ago the internet started being weird. It would go slow, only load part of a page or disconnect completely. Now I cant get on at all. Not with my HP laptop, not with my daughters iPad, my husbands HP, ipod and not even if I hook up directly to the router. I have gone through 3 modems and 2 routers trying to fix this, but nothing has changed. When I run a trouble shooter, under "Problems Found", it says, "Windows cannot communicate with the device or resource. (primary DNS server)" I am currently on my computer at another location, every device we have, can get on the internet at other locations.

I am trying to set up my computer with my old connection. I use my laptop (acer aspire 5742ZG) and before I moved out it worked like it should have. Then while in the other town I needed to set up my connection, this time by myself (through some sort of interface in 192.168.1.1). Now that I'm back next thing happens: I appear to be online, I am online on skype (can chat, and people chat back) but when it comes to connecting to the internet through the browser or an online game I play it's not responding, as if there is a problem.I use windows 7, so the troubleshooting software reports what's in the title.The problem is not with the connection - 3 computers are connected to it, 2 with cable, 1 wireless. I would use wireless too, but I am too far away from the modem (it's in another house, and I have a long cable which works, posting from the desktop computer connected to it). [Code]

Problems have arisen since purchasing a new laptop with Windows 7. The problem seems erratic. The laptop connects to file servers on the network, but often cannot connect to the network. If it connects, often connection is lost when clicking to a new page.Usual error message: "Windows can't communicate with the device or resource (primary DNS server)"Network map shows communication lost between ADSL and network.Direct Hard wire connection to internet through ADSL works without issue. Hardwire connection through DIR-655 same as wireless: erratic, error messages. This message posted from another wireless router, specifics not known, connected without issue, on-line for 3 hours without problems.

Router setup numerous times using CD ROM set up program.Firmware updated to the most recent version.Gone to tech support several times; can get the PC to connect and once done, tech support says its working only to disconnect within a few minutes.What must I do to get this DIR-655 router working on a regular basis?

I have a ASUS NB K52f/k62f series, 3GBRAM intl Pentium CPU2.13GHz 500GB HD 392GB free, windows 7 home premium 64bit. wireless network connection: Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter
I am able to connect to the internet via Ethernet but I cannot connect via wifi. Its been work fine for 3years now but now its not able to connect to any network and all my other devices are able to connect just fine to these networks fine. The error message I get is Windows can't communicate with the device or resource (primary DNS server). so far I have disable and re enabled the wireless connection, reset the TCP/IP, went through properties of ipv4 and 6 and set them to obtain an ip address automatically, and system restore from when I was able to connect via wifi still not luck

I installed a CISCO ASA5505 with 50 user license to my network as the gateway firewall. So ASA is acting as the gaeway router which is connected to a fibre circuit and also it gives DHCP to the network. The strange thing is that except for two computers rest does not have internet. I also have an asterisk phone system which works fine..
I tried everything.... static IP's DHCP, DNS nothing worked. But strange enough two computers works fine and have internet.. but are no special computers. One is Win XP and the other one is Win7. When I troubleshoot the problem in win 7 on one of the computers it says
"The remote device or resource won't accept the connection"

We have a Windows 7 machine and two Windows XP machines. We use windows sharing of resources over a cisco wireless network. Sharing works fine on all computers for files and printers, however the DVD/CD Rom drives are not accessible.Sharing is enabled on all of these devices.When we try to access these DVD/CD Rom drives we get the following error message:Windows cannot access //computer name/resource name.You do not have permission to access //computer name/resource name. i am looking for alternatives to Windows System Resource Manager, as we do not have Datacenter or Enterprise editions of 2003, or 2008/R2 terminal servers. The main problem we have is when a user tanks the entire server with Excel in a workbook that would be more appropriate as an Access SQL database rather than being in Excel.

I have installed ANM 5.2 virtual appliance.I have an issue importing a Catalyst 6500 device.When I try to import it, I get the following error: Device discovery failed: Cannot communicate to the device.Authentication failure while attempting to connect. Verify the device type and credentials. I double verified and the credentials are correct.I user SSH version 2.I use the following special carachters in the password: "!" and space.I don't use enable password to connect to the 6500 device. The 6500 device has a privilege 15 username.In ANM, the enable password is a requirement so I just fill in the regular password.I think the issue is appearing due to one of the following:
1.) The ANM does not support the special carachters I use in the 6500 password.
2.) Then ANM requires enable password, while I don't use enable password in the 6500 switch.
The 6500 runs SXI6 software version.I can't configure an enable password or configure a test username without special carachters beacause it's against the organization's policy.

My friend and I bought Acer Aspire 5741's about 9 months ago and neither of us has had any problems until now. My friend went to connect to the internet via wireless router yesterday to find that there was limited connectivity (no internet access). We assumed it was a router issue and I gave her a number of things to check but all seemed ok with it. I went to her house to look at it today and when I ran the connection troubleshooter got "windows can't communicate with.......... (DNS server)". I connected my laptop via her router and everything was fine. I brought her laptop back to my house and tried to connect to the internet via my router and got exactly the same 'DNS' message - my laptop again connected without any problem.
I have re-booted the routers, laptops, network adapters etc and also checked the wireless adapter settings on both laptops, which appear to be the same. I have re-set the TCP/IP stack and have also tried ipconfig /release and /renew - none of which seems to have made any difference. The results of ipconfig/all are:-

I'm having a bit of trouble connecting to the internet on my desktop. Basically, my desktop computer, running windows 7, wired connection via LAN, is having trouble connecting to the internet. It appears to be connected to the internet (all indicators are "green light"), but when I attempt to open a browser, for example, there is no response. After running a diagnosis, I found this: Windows can't communicate with the device or resource (Primary DNS server). The strange thing is that our apartment wireless network works just fine. I looked around on here for a solution, but all were entertaining laptops with wireless connections. My IPs are set to automatic as well.

when trying to connect to my home wireless network i get an error saying "windows cannot communicate with the primary dns server" all other computers in the hosue can connect without issue.
- not the router
- not the internet
- reconfigured router (didn't work)
- dns is on automatically obtain
- computer i am using now is connected to same network
- flushed dns several times (didn't work)
- rewrote tcp/ip registry keys
- uninstalled all PCI related drivers

i have a wlc 5508 with code 7.0.220, with multicast enabled in it and on the lan too.I am having a bit of confusion getting bonjour to work on the wireless side. Looking at some of the cisco docs, i still have some questions on how to get it working in my specific enviroment.
I have the wlc conected to the lan via a port-channel. 2 wlan (ssid1 and ssid2) each wlan maps to a specific vlan (dynamic int), the management int (also used for dynamic ap-manager) on a third vlan (vlan x).
I need to get Bonjour working between ssid1 and vlan-x, so my wireless clients (in ssid1 can use bonjour with their laptops) can synch between wireless and wired. I know that you can do this within the same wlan (ssid) but in this case, when a user has a laptop wired into the network he cant comunicate to the wireless device. I read about Vlan Select and Multicast Optimization however, from what i understand i need to setup an interface group and just assign my wlan1 and management int to it, correct?
when or if i need a different segment (vlan y) in my lan to also "bonjour" with ssid1? For this i assume i would need to create a dynamic interface on the wlc using the same IP segment and do the a new interface group?

I have a few servers and resources on my local network. A Web server,a game server, a ventrilo server, a few ip cameras with web interface, an IR to IP bridge (web interface),a VPN, a few routers throughout the house, etc. I've been wondering how to get access to those devices from the web, in particular to be able to access the web interface of those devices. VPN access is excluded,I want to do it from a browser.Right now my setup is pretty simple: I have a domain name,and my router is set to forward a :80 request to my web server.Same for the VPN and game serves,at their respective ports.However, I need to be able to access the other web interface,and since I cannot assign an external port to each device in the router table and add the port number at the end of my domain name (not possible of course), I need to find a way to access these other web interfaces.I was thinking of setting a webpage on the web server which lists all resources and their links,but I am not sure if it is possible.For example,I create an admin page on my server asking for a login.Once logged in,a webpage appears displaying IPCam1 for example.Clicking on this link would forward to the local ressource,in this case 192.168.x.x:99 (the address of the cam web server)however,I do not know HTML and I am not even sure it is possible.

I have a network with aprox 150 workstations (90% windows XP profesional, 10% Windows7 32 or 64 bit), and I receive from time to time this message ONLY on windows XP workstations:" Workgroup is not accessible.You might not have permission to use this network resource" All the time I could access the various workgroup computers by entering their IP like \192.168.1.5 or \mikepc All the time i can ping any of the workstation without any problem.All the time using Search computers on the network I find computer name.

This is 1st attempt at home networking:win xp pro to win 7 ultimate.can get both devices to ping and receive both by ip address and computer name.both devices seen in each others workgroup view. cannot open either device from the other device.file and printer sharing is on on both machines.

i have a home computer. windows xp. i have a virgin mobile broadband chip that i have always been able to plug n to the usb slot on bck of computer and it pulls up the internet with no problems. i tried to get on the internet and it keeps telling me that the device isnt detected. i troubleshot,lol. and windows tells me to go to control panel, network connections, LAN or high-speed internet, the problem is i only see 3 g and local internet connection?

My Samsung phone is working as it should as an USB device (using KEIS and such). However though it receives ip address from DIR-655 router and is registered by MAC address in router - also possible to ping its IP from windows I cannot see it in /Network from my WIN7 64bit OS? The desktop comp is wired to the router, phone is on wireless.
I ve tried several settings and almost had it. It did work some months ago...

I've multiple FWSMs running. The funny thing: When I do a "show resource usage" I have one blade showing a "Conns [rate]" and "Syslogs [rate]" values and one blade isn't.

I have two production contexts on an ACE 4710 running A5(2.2). Both are members of a resource class that has "limit-resource all minimum 40.00 maximum equal-to-min". I am seeing many denied packets for Bandwidth throughput under the "show resource use" for one of the contexts. All other resource peaks under "show resource use" are well within range. So I'd like to create a new Resource Class for this context with bandwidth throughput packets being denied, and would solely like to allocate more resources for bandwidth throughput ONLY, while keeping the other resources at 40.00. However, "limit-resource ?" doesn't list any resources that look like bandwidth throughput. If I configure "limit-resource all minimum 50.00 max equal-to-min" then I do see it allocates more bandwidth for throughput via the "show resource usage" underneatht the Alocation - Max column. Is this the only method to effect the resource allocation for bandwidth throughput for a context?

I have a newly aquired asa 5505 that I just set up to the bare minimum configurations. I followed a cisco paper on how to create a "remote access vpn" setup for ipsec. I can sucessfully connect and establish a VPN, but when I try to access an inside resource from the vpn address, the asa blocks it.

I have a SB6121 Motorola Modem for my Comcast Service.The modem is supposed to give out an ip range of 192.168.100.11-40When I reboot the modem I temporarily get a 192.168.100.12 IP address but then somehow it changes to a 68.42.83.47 ip.I can't get it to stick on the 192.168.100.x network so I can't access anything.Before I had my pc connected to a Netgear Router which received the internet from the SB6121 but I am needing to troubleshoot some issues with a freePBX server so I plugged straight into the gateway.

This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available.Plug and Play ID.When I test it says the adapter is working properly. I don't know if this matters but I am unable to get microsoft updates. I have 16 that continue trying to update but my computer will not allow.

I have an i7-2700K system with MSI Z68A-GD80 MB running on Window 7. Awesome system. Only one issue. The Network Adapter section keeps disappearing from Device Manager, causing my ethernet to fail, no lights on either of the RJ45 ports with cable plugged in. All of the latest drivers are installed. I've Googled it and see others with the same problem and have followed the "temporary" solution - shut down the system, unplug it from the power supply, yank the memory out, press the power button with PSU unplugged to "bleed" the caps (or use the pwr/reset button on the MB before shutting it down), let it sit for several minutes (it takes mine at least an hour, so I'm thinking the system needs to be completely cooled down) and then put it all back together and turn it on. Network Adapter section shows up again, Ethernet lights return, internet works again.
This works until the next time the system shuts down and then I have to do this all over again. Extremely annoying problem. I'm not sure if it's a faulty MB or if there's an actual permanent fix.
