Jan 19, 2012ive got some problems with my HP pavilion dv6000...i have recently reinstalled pc with windows xp home edition..installed drivers recommended on the HP official webpage and in HP wireless assistent still states that Wireless and bluetooth is disabled..but in device manager is enabled. also with my audio driver .already installed but dont make any sound.

Feb 16, 2013I have a westell DSL modem/router supplied by Frontier. It connects only to the telephone line and via cat5 to my main router, a cisco EA6500. Everything seems to be working fine, I just would like to understand a few things.I disabled wireless radio on the westell, enabled it on the cisco, so I have just one WIFI network active.I know I am not supposed to have two DHCP servers active, but I did not know how else to be sure the CISCO would get a good address, so I left DHCP active on the WESTELL, and also enabled it on the CISCO to provide service for the rest of the net.The WESTELL admin interface is at 192.168.1.1, and assigns addresses in this range.According to the WESTELL, the CISCO is at 192.168.1.27, which I assume was assigned by DHCP.The CISCO has an admin interface at 10.144.224.224, and assigns addresses in this range to all the other devices on my net.As I say, everything works.I can access both router admin pages with a browser on my main 10.144.224 network, and can ping both.But I don't understand why it works.What rules allow me to talk to the WESTELL admin page from the CISCO private network, but do NOT propagate the DHCP access which is at the exact same IP address.
It is great that it works. But should I really have disabled DHCP on the WESTELL and assigned a static address to the CISCO? Or is this situation actually provided for in the rules, not just a lucky accident that it works?Why does the scanner say that the CISCO DHCP is "Unknown" rather than Authorized or Unauthorized? Is there something I can or should do to get it to be "Authorized"? I can ping 192.168.1.1, but not the 192.168.1.27 (times out), and yet when I ping a non-existent 192.169.1.3 I get "Reply from 192.168.1.27: Destination host unreachable".
Wireless Network Device Is Disabled?
Apr 17, 2011my laptop can't connect to a wireless network, so I have to keep it in one room connected to the modem. When I unplug it, even with the wireless switch on, it loses the connection. When I use ConfigFree, it says the wireless network device is disabled. I went to device manager and updated the driver for the network adapter, and it still said it was disabled. What should I do now?

Sep 14, 2012I have an ASUS G71gx laptop with Windows Vista 64 bit. I noticed upon start up my wireless connection would not automatically connect. I hit diagnose and repair, and it stated that I did not have wireless connectivity turned on. I tried flipping the wireless switch on and off a few times to no avail. When I would turn it on and off, the blue LED light was OFF. Also, each time I switched it on and off, it said on the screen that the wireless LAN adapter was OFF (even if the switch was turned on). Then, I restarted the windows explorer bar a few times as well as flip the switch again. This time, the blue LED turned ON. However, the internet was still turned off. I hit diagnose and repair again and it said the same thing as previously stated. It gave me the option to repair it by turning on wireless compatibility/connectivity, so I hit that. After that it turned on and I could use it with no problem.

May 5, 2012how i can have internet connection again. here's what happened, i disabled the Broadcasting SSID and the after that my devices can no longer locate the wifi, and then when i cant configure the setting back to its original settings because i cannot establish a connection with the mf30 and my laptop eventhough it's via USB.

Apr 15, 2012I had to re-install Windows 7 -64bit after my hard drive had crashed, but I can seem to get the Wireless to work. I tried following the installation order as per the following link but I couldn't install the NSS/DSS as I could not find this download for my Vostro 3700. I also read somewhere that it is not needed for Windows 7, so I left it.
I installed the WLAN 1501 Half Mini-Card (4313bgn) (R270598) driver as this is the wireless card that I have and it installs. The problem I have is that the wireless software and windows says my wireless card's radio is disabled and that I need to switch the radio on using the switch on the laptop. This laptop has a physical switch and no matter if I turn it on or off.. the radio remains off. Even the wireless light above the keyboard does not switch on.The thing is, before the hard drive crashed, my wireless worked fine. Is it possible that the switch broke too, or am I missing some kind of driver or software for the wireless switch.
Cisco Wireless :: WLC 5508 - WLANs Disabled After Reboot
Sep 4, 2012I'm running 3 WLC 5508, 2 of them running image AIR-CT5500-K9-7-0-116-0.aes, one AIR-CT5500-LDPE-K9-7-0-116-0.aes.
On the 5508 running the LDPE-image, I have 9 WLANs (170,171,180,181,190,191,281,282,283), all defined with admin status "ENABLED".
WLANs 180,181,281 belong to a defined AP-group, WLAN 190,191,282 belong to a different AP-group.
WLANs 180,181,190,191 are defined as H-REAP. The H-REAP APs registers without any problems at the backup WLC and switches back successfully to the primary controller after recovering from reboot. Unfortunately the WLANs 180,181,190,191 show status "DISABLED" every time the primary controller comes back and I have to enable them manually.
Doing exactly the same procedure with one of the other WLC, running AIR-CT5500-K9-7-0-116-0, I never face this problem.

Make sure the wireless switch on your computer is on. To see an updated list, click 'Refresh network list.'" I don't have a wireless switch. I have a wireless enable icon and it says Enabled. My wireless network is working because my phone sees it and two other networks in the neighborhood. I couldn't find the Dell Wireless WLAN Utility. I also tried my iPhone hotspot. Laptop did not detect it either.

Jun 4, 2012I call century link because my router was not connecting at the proper speed of 7 mbps. That problem was easily remedied over the phone but the lady said she could see several devices connected. This lost me a bit because I have a double router configuration. The Action tech PK5000 i turned into nothing more that an internet modem. I disabled the DHCP and configured my Linksys E1200 for all the internal DHCP so there is only one cable going to the PK5000. I should technically speaking look like one user on there network with natural protection from the second router.

Aug 3, 2011I had to restore my laptop yesterday and i reset my router (WRT100). I ran all the Microsoft updates, but I didn't do anything with the router other than going to the Linksys site to try to make it secure. My computer seems to be recognizing the router (although it is still saying it is an unsecured connection) but I cannot get on the internet. The problem seems to be when I pull up the Network Connections window the "Internet Gateway-Internet Connection" is showing disabled. I cannot enable.Everytime I try, it says "connecting...Connection failed!". I can plug the ethernet from the modem to the computer and it works and the "Internet Gateway" doesn't appear, but when I try through the router it does. I want to set up the router because I have two computers that need internet access.
Three connections are listed--Wireless Access, LAN, and 1394 Connection. All are listed as connected, firewalled.The second computer is also giving me a problem. There is the wireless issue, but when I connect the ethernet from the computer directly to the modem I am asked if I want to connect via Broadband and am asked for a username/password. There is no username/password. I've contacted my ISP (Cox cable) and confimred there is no password.
