i am in the process of setting up a business and we have brought the server from a previous company and added a 5 port switch to it. But after setting up wireless internet yesterday my bosses internet will not work when the server is plugged into his laptop. However it works fine on mine.

The problem is that within my network, I have the cable modem (from the internet provider ) and my router with the ftp server. When I'm trying to access the FTP from outside (internet) with FileZila I get this "Server sent passive reply with unroutable address. Using server address instead."

I am trying to get the print server functionality working but no luck. I have a Brother HL-2030 and I know that it is not in the compatibility list. But the HL-2040 is, and the differences between the two are minimal. However, the TP-Link printer utility does not see the printer and the network scanner function is grayed out.
setup a DHCP server on a WLC 2504. I'll try to resume my configuration:
I have 2 networks: inside users (vlan 1) and external users (vlan)
My controller uses the port 1 to connect to the switch, which has a trunk with WLC.
I have two routers, one using vlan 1 (192.168.3.0/24) and one using vlan 10 (200.X.X.X). All ports to these routers are access ports on their respective vlans.
I have 2 SSID, one for inside, other to outside. Inside is working very well.
To the outside I created a DHCP escope and already set the IP of the management interface 192.168.3.119.
Managemente interface (vlan 1 inside): 192.168.3.119/24
Outside interface (vlan 10): 200.X.X.195 - Default gateway 200.X.X.X.193
I alredy checked the DHCP Proxy in Advanced option.

I am trying to stream movies and music to my Panasonic TV. I have a USB hard drive connected to the EA4500.
The TV sees the media on the device and music plays fine. However, every movie I've tried shows up with an exclamation point and when I try to play it I get a message to the effect that "unable to open media". Is the EA4500 media server only compatible with certain movies?
I got a Monoprice Networking USB 2.0 Server and it doesn't appear to be working. I hooked it to my router (Linksys E1000) and I have my usb printer hooked to the device. The driver for the printer is installed for the server. When I go to print something I get a popup saying "checking status of printer," it hangs for a minute, and then says "printer not responding." There's no indication of the server or the printer in my network. How do I get this thing working

On Windows XP, my integrated NIC stops working after hosting a server. The server starts fine, ports are forwarded, firewall is down, modem is fine, but when I receive a connection, it shows they have made a connection, but then they drop, as do I. I can't browse or ping anywhere. I have to physically disconnect, then reconnect the ethernet cable to the port, or restart the computer. Upon ipconfig, the adapter is set with the Windows default ip (169.x.x.x) and cannot be /release'd or /renew'd.

My laptop computer is having difficulty connecting to a wireless internet. I just bought a brand new router but still having difficulties. Once I start up the computer it works but if I take a break from the computer (computer times off or I close lid) it will stop working. It reads the router but states identifying and has a X between router and internet.

Over Christmas we got a camera that emails directly from it, and it told us to press the WSP button on the Belkin router. The camera magically worked, however our computers did not work anymore! After an hour long phone call to Belkin, I got one of my computers to work normally again. However the 2nd laptop won't connect to the internet and our tivo isn't picking it up either, which mean our shows are not recording.
Also, I'm using two apple computers. When I attempt to hook up the airport network, it says "unable to join the network."
Yesterday my wireless internet just appeared to stop working completely, it has always worked fine up unti now!I have checked all the usual issues, it is nothing to do with my router as i can use other laptops/desktops to access the internet fine.I am using a Pavillion DV6-1215sa which has a Atheros AR9285 802.11b/g WiFi Adapter.It has full strenght but just says Limited Connectivity, so it is picking up the wireless network but wont actually let me connect to the internet via it.

I have 2 desktops at home and a HP G60 notebook with windows Vista. The internet works fine on both desktop since they're plugged via Ethernet, but my wireless connection is giving me a hard time on my laptop. I know the wireless works cause I have 2 iphones and they're connected via wifi and works fine. It's just this laptop that is having problems. when I click on connect to wireless, it does but it doesn't show the proper "connected" icon (when it's connected it shows two monitors and a small world, now it's just the two monitors without the world)

When I test the VPN connection on the LAN (loacally) I have no trouble connecting and establishing VPN connection.However when I tried externally it's a different story. I am not able to connect and always get the same not so clear 800 error ...The remote connection was not made because attempted VPN tunnel failed. I have Zyxel router for my internet connection and I have forwarded all relevant ports I think for the protocols I am using. Port such as 1723,1701,1702,47,50,51,500,1293,443,4500 are forwarded to the server.I am able to telnet to the server on port such as 1723.

It was working good since 3 weeks ago and I was adding snmp server configuration in all my devices (routers/switches) and suddenly one day DCR Server process stop working. I was trying the following actions:
1.- dmgtd stop -> to stop daemons
2.- dmgtd start -> to start again the daemons
And the DCR Server does n´t start up automatic.

Now I'm back to wireless but I'm having this problem, my brother has been using the wireless from the beginning and still does so I'm sure it's my computer. I got one of those viruses that redirects all the links that you go on to random websites on the main PC. I ran a full scan with McAfee Antivirus Plus and it came up with nothing. My brother suggested i try downloading malwarebytes on my laptop and installing it on the PC to get rid of it. Malwarebytes picked up the virus and got rid of it. I restarted the computer and when i tried to access the internet on the PC the message on the browser says "Could not connect". My wireless is fine, but the wired connection to the PC is not. When i look at it on the PC it says that it is connected but the browsers show no connection.

I have a usb drive plugged into it and have set the options to use that drive and the itunes server is turned on. I've rebooted the router many times, removed the drive and put it back in. Turned of settings and turned back on. Nothing works. iTunes does see my PC's shared library just fine.

Recently I got a Beetel 450BX1 ADSL2 + Router and want to use the wireless capability of the laptop so that I don't have to be glued to my table. The OS I'm using is Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit) on an HP Compaq 6515b.I configured the modem by following the instructions in the following link url...I believe that's a straightforward method for configuring a router, and that accomplishing this is very simple.I followed the steps, only changed the username and password to that given by BSNL.Then, finally I unplugged the LAN cable and clicked on Connect to <connection name>, punched in the serial key. But it does not connect and says "Windows was unable to connect". Even after using Windows Network Troubleshooter the problem is not solved.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWireless internet connection stops working after anywhere from 10 minutes to two hours, a message pops up telling me it is "impossible to connect to my preferred wireless network", and then it fails to detect any wireless connections at all. The strangest thing is that when I try to "repair" the connection, which used to work, the computer immediately shuts down and restarts itself. It also seems like when I attempt to download something, like a movie for example, the connection fails right away, while if I'm just surfing the web it usually lasts around an hour before stopping. And when I restart the computer again it works perfectly fine at first, like right now, but eventually does the same thing.

Last year all of a sudden my wireless internet stopped working and had to use a cable to connect to my router. A few months went by and i randomly got my wireless internet connection back for about 2-3 months now all of a sudden my wireless is out again. i ran tests in other threads posted on this subject and the only way they got it to work was to buy a usb connection. is this the only way im going to be able to get wireless back?
