I just want to know how or is it possible to hide sent/receive packets from the Router I cracked few days ago?I'm using wifi card airlive wl-1600 usb and the router is TP-Link.I mean how much is possible to hide my connectivity and everything from me with this router?
View 1 RepliesAt random times, my internet will "drop" connection and will not download any packets, but I am still able to send packets. My Local Area Connection icon continues to say I am connected, my modem is fully functional, and my cables are good. I can get my internet back up and running for 10 minutes or so by disable and re-enabling my Network Connection. If I simply try the "repair", it gives me an error at the "Refreshing IP" step.I have done a full system scan for viruses and I am clean. My drivers are fully updated, I have disabled my firewalls, and still no luck. During the times when it is down, I can successfully ping my modem through CMD, but I get the time-out error if I ping a site, my default gateway, the DHCP Server, or the DMS Servers.I have made no changes to any major settings on my computer, nor has there been any recent additions/removals of any software.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have connected the computer to the internet a multitude of ways, and no matter how i do it, it always can not receive packets. It is sending packets though.I have tried connecting it directly to the modem, with different wires, through a router, through a network card... I'm pretty much at a loss, im not an expert by any means but im not computer illiterate either. Chances are this is a simple fix... My other computer (the one im on) works fine with both cords, connected directly, and through the router to the modem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been having this problem on my desktop and it's really annoying when i try to play online games that need a constant connection.I have Windows XP and i'm using a wireless connection via a wireless USB adapter. The problem is that the internet is running fine but at random intervals it starts to not send or receive any packets. This will usually cause my to disconnecting during a game causing other players inconvenience. After I d/c the internet will usually take 5-30 seconds to start sending and receiving packets again and regain connection.

1. I have the hardware version 1, and I noticed the hardware version 2 has a newer version of Cisco Connect. Can I use the newer version of Cisco Connect on my E4200 V1?

I recently bought your router and I am trying to install it.The problem that I get is that when the router tries to get the dynamic IP from my provider, it gets nothing.I have typed in the DNS servers but no go. Without the router, my uplink works fine. The provider does not lock onto a specific MAC adress.
I have a TP link TD-W8901g modem router with 1 wan and 4 LAN. My questions is can i use this modem to receive wifi signals through wan and give out through lan. i currently use internet from telephone cable. But i have got a free hot spot near my home. Currently i Am using a pc without wireless card.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought a DIR-655 a less than a year ago on amazon, and it was working great up until about 4 weeks ago. Ive noticed that it has been dropping alot of packets while I am gaming on my computer. I would run about 95-98 ping usually and now it jitters every 5-10 mins or so from 95-98 to up to 500. It is really troublesome during games and I dont know what to do. Ive tried disabling QoS and still nothing. I run on wireless G and N with auto 20/40 mhz. Standard WPA(personal) and it was running absolutely great until now. I know its the wireless because I have hardwired it into my laptop, both from the router and just the modem itself with no problems whatsoever. I dont know what to do about it.

QoS is off spi is off udp and tcp endpoint independent firmware version 1.21 i am using wireless cable isp using motorola sb5101 i believe i port forwarded the ports used for the game but that didnt work so i put my computer into dmz. I've also noticed a lot more jitter then i used to have and my upload speed is down about 4mbps. Was thinking it might just be outdated firmware?
I notice that I have TX Packets Dropped only under the wireless section.This occurs when the wireless network is not in use also.I have tried many different channels, almost all of them.Im using wpa2-tkip+aes, mixed g and n network, auto 20/40, wps disabled.I understand about wireless interference also.wireless devices dont seem to have any issues though, not dropping from network.I usually get 4000 wireless TX drops a day. I have set up several accounts to generate "income" in game and want to alter/hide the IP address shown connecting to those accounts so that my own IP is only associated with my main account. However it's an MSDOS program and I dont want to alter the IP shown/used for other programs on my pc.
Is there a way to alter the IP shown for specific programs only? And will it handle MSDOS programes?
We use filter rules on an ASA5510 firewall to direct clients to a web filtering server which generally works very well. However lately we're finding that despite having more web filtering licenses than users, the web filtering licenses are being consumed up, mainly because of a recent increase in the rollout of ipads, iphones, androids etc. We could deploy a proxy server in the wireless DMZ to make all the wireless devices appear to web filter as a single IP, and apply a single policy, but that brings it's own problems. My question is: Is there a way to hide them all behind the interface IP instead, so that all wireless devices appear to the web filter on the LAN as the wireless dmz interface IP rather than the wireless device IP?

Please note that not all of the internal hosts are being NATed. I am doing this to hid some of the real IP addresses on the inside network. I have confirmed that the VPN works, as well as the NATing of the VPN traffic. I have traditionally configured L2L VPNs on Cisco ASA 5500 series appliances, and this is my first attempt with the 1841 ISR. We are testing a new 1Gbps WAN circuit between 2 sites. We have cisco 3750 and 4507 on each end. Every time we run extended ping sweep ranging from 36 to 18024 bytes the packets are being dropped randomly once the size goes above 1500 bytes. Our ISP claims Demark to Demark test are clean and they don't want to acknowledge the problem, they blame our switches. To prove the problem is not on our end we've put different switches at each end, still facing the same issue. Ping success rate is around 98 to 99 percent.

(77.36.x.x) instead of the usual private address 192.168.1.1. DHCP server had IP address 58.206.x.x when i issued ping 192.168.1.1 command, i got this output: "reply from 77.36.x.x: destination host unreachable" i couldn't access my router's configuration menu by typing 192.168.1.1 in web browser's address field.it's very interesting, because i had network issues before but could access my router's config menu and ping it. but now, i cannot reach my local router but receive reply from ISP's router.
