Here I am months later and it is not able to detect ANY wireless networks to connect to (and we have TWO wireless networks set up!). I have even tried to manually configure by entering all the wireless info and it still does not detect. What could possibly be wrong? My wireless is working FINE ~ I'm on my laptop now.

My son's notebook is unable to locate the wireless network in my house. When I try to create a new internet connection via Control Panel / Internet settings etc, it displays no internet wireless networks. Every other laptop in the house can find the wireless broadband. The notebook's OS is Windows 7.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am in the process of moving in my new house and the landlord set up a Belkin router and gave us the password. I connected to the wifi with no problems on my iphone, but when I try to connect from my PC is says the security key is invalid. I hooked up directly to the router, went to the IP and tried logging in with the password to no avail. I don't get what the problem is? The password works fine from my phone, but not from the computer.

I have a DIR-615 and am tech noob. Also I lost the info that came with the router. Is there any way to find out my password that an can understand?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI set up a DIR-655 router for a friend 4 years ago and it's worked reliably with all of their equipment since. They have wireless printers, iMacs, pc laptops and iPhone 4S's, all connecting without any problems. Recently, they got an iPhone5 and it will not connect to their home wireless automatically, they have to re-enter the password each time. They've tested their iPhone 5 on other networks and they do not have to re-enter the password. Apple and ATT are blaming the router. I do not live near them and I'm going to have to facilitate them remotely. At this point, I believe their router is configured with WPA2, but I can't be sure. Which configuration will work with the iPhone 5, as well as their other, older, devices that have worked for 4 years
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe're in the process of implementing an ISE 1.1 server for Guest Wireless Access / BYOD at our company and ran into an issue with authenticating from iPhones / iPads when the account is set with 'change password on next logon' (it's a local account created on the ISE server - not AD). It fails and displays 'unable to join network' on the iPhone. The ISE log shows a '5411: No response received in 120 seconds'. We're able to authenticate from Windows devices and are prompted to change the password during the authentication process. If we unchecked the 'change password' box we can authenticate from iPhones & iPads without any issue but we need to have a way for users to set their own password.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMobile devices are saturating our medium sized enterprise network. Examples of these devices are iPhones, iPads, Kindles, Droids, etc When a device is authenticated on our APMobile wireless network and downloads updates, email, or music our Network bandwidth is consumed. Services/Applications are no longer available, such as VoIP. Basically, this is an internal DoS.I have done some research and an example of this problem is an ARP Storm but currently clients obtain IP addresses form our DHCP server, which acts as a proxy for the clients and if effective against deliberate attempts to craft packets that create ARP Storm. In addition we configured the WLC to disable ARPunicast processing via the CLI.The following link is from Cisco's site. It is the ARPstorm that we originally thought was the cause but after more researching we found it wasn't this exact issue - http:[url]....why iPhones frequently take down our network? Could this be a configuration issue with our firewall (Cisco ASA 5520 running version 8.4(2))?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI log onto other wireless networks the first time by inputting their passwords. My iphone then always automatically reconnects wirelessly to them without have to input the password again. The phone can be asleep for a few minutes or I can be gone for a month. The phone always automatically remembers & reconnects to these networks. However, it doesn't work that way with my d-link system @ home. Everytime the phone sleeps and I wake it up, the wireless connection is lost. There is no automatic reconnection. I have to input the password each time in order to re-establish the wireless link. My printer and laptop seem to stay connected. d-link settings I need to change in order to get my iphone to automatically connect all the time?

I didnt worry about it until I got an Iphone and now .I was able to re-establish the wireless connection on my netbook today after a ton of research and messing around with the settings and then downloaded network magic, which finally fixed the problem. I believe that it automatically transmitted the WEP key to the Netbook, which is what I am missing when I try to log into the network on the Iphone. How do I get this password to show up on Network Magic? When I look at the settings, it does not show the actual numbers, they are hidden.

Once rebooted i am able to connect again to the internet with no problems, interestingly enough my main PC never loses connection. Also sometimes when i lose my connection and reboot the wireless router i will have a IP conflict pop up on my 2nd PC however i would i say i get this once in every 10 dissconects and not all the time. Sometimes i won't dissconect at all in a day but sometimes i may dissconect 5-6 times.

I have 2 desktops (running windows 7), a Canon MF8300 printer, and an outgoing ethernet line, all on a Netgear Advanced Cable Modem Gateway CGD24-CPR. I'm only concerned with having the 2 desktops set up with the Canon printer. Both computers have been connected to the printer before and I have the startup disk. But once the new offices were set up and both of the desktops were moved, I can no longer access or find the printer.
I can IPconfig the Desktops for their IPV4 addresses and both desktops recognize eachother on a Homegroup, but I can't find the printer. I printed off the print configuration page from the printer which gave me an IP address (printer is set for auto-obtain), but using an IP search won't bring up the printer. All of the devices are plugged into ethernet ports set up for the three different office they are in and the actual location of the Netgear cable modem/router is over 100 feet away. My primary concern is getting the printer for the desktops, but I also need to add a wireless router into one of those office in the future.
I cannot locate my security key for my wireless router. How can I find my own security key from my desktop or laptop?
