The server is running Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2.The four other systems connecting to the server are running Microsoft Windows XP.Is it possible to have all four users connected at the same time remotely using a remote desktop client to the server? I'm using Teamviewer right now, but not sure if it will work with that.

I've got an HP Microserver, running server 2008 R2 foundation, and I'm using it for file sharing. All files are in a single folder with subfolders, and located in drive C.
The problem is that the server limits the number of LAN connections to it to 31. I've already changed the max. number of connections to the maximum, but doesn't seem to work. Network discovery and file sharing are on, firewall is off, full access rights for everyone.
The error I get when trying to access the shared folder is: 'Microsoft Windows Network: No more connections can be made to this remote computer at this time because there are already as many connections as the computer can accept'
I use remote Desktop access alot for work but it seems a waste of power as for it to be effective I need to keep the computer on all the time. I have an old Ipod Touch, First Generation that I never use.. I was wondering if it is possible to connect the Ipod Touch to my desktop computer via USB.. If when I finish work I put the computer in sleep mode and then if there is any way that I could access the IPOD via the wifi (which is always on in the building) and make the ipod send a signal to the computer to boot it back up..

I dont know the ip addresses for Cisco 500 switches which are configured as backbone which the ip address assigned on the network is static ip address. I have my home lab with cisco 2511 and octal cables. I would like to be able to access the terminal server remotely via the internet when I'm not in. I'm concerned cause the wireless router is DHCP assigned IP. Even if I have a static IP on the ethernet port of the 2511 connected to the wireless router, I'm not sure if the NAT will work so it can be accessible from the internet.

Possible to point the WLC's to both WCS and Prime Infrastructure concurrently - I was thinking that it would be a quick fallback if we has any problems with Prime (I know there have been some!) We are not running MSE but we do have mobility groups, the WLC's are 5508 running 7.0.235.3 .

If I don't configure any aaa authorization commands, the locally logged in user has unmitigated access to the device. Once I enable aaa authroization, all commands issued by the locally logged in user are denied by ACS, but they can still log in to the device. When I comb through the logs on the ACS server, I see successful logins when TACACS credentials are used, and also the failed attempts when the locally configured credentials are used. On the switch, however, I receive "%TACACS-3-TACACS_ERROR_MESSAGE: All servers failed to respond" when using locally configured credentials on the switch itself. We are running ACS v4.2.

Any internal IP on each site can ping any IP on a remote site, because of the static VPN tunnels. I have the external IP (routeable) addresses connecting to each other.
Site A: 10.1.0.0 /24
Site B: 10.2.0.0 /24
Site C: 10.3.0.0 /24
Site D: 10.5.0.0 /24
Site E: 10.10.0.0 /20
I have remote users who connect using Cisco AnyConnect 3.1 to Site E. They get a static IP within the 10.10.100.0 /24 subnet (vpnpool00) and can access anything in the 10.10.0.0 /20 subnet. So far, so good.No management wants users to access devices within the other sites, specifically Site A using teh same AnyConnect connection. In other words, they get an Ip address of say, 10.10.100.5 and now need to access a server on Site A's subnet or 10.1.0.5.I have checked my NAT statements and they appear to allow this, but so far when I do a ping I get the following: Routing failed to locate next hop for ICMP from outside: 10.10.100.5/1 to inside: 10.1.0.5/0 What am I missing? Is there a NAT statement that is wrong, or an access-list statement or possibly a static route?
I am migrating over from and old PIX to an ASA 5510. After configuring the new device everything else is functional (Internet) but users are unable to pass traffic when connected through the vpn, they are able to authenticate and I see their session connected on the ASDM but no data is passed..[code]
View 4 Replies View RelatedAs of last night my router has been producing slow connectivity when multiple users are connected to it, but it's perfectly fine when only one user is connected. I am on a laptop myself, but we also have a second laptop and a desktop where the modem and router are set up. I have upgraded the firmware so that is up to date. We have Comcast Fiber Optics so my internet speed is normally quite fast even when all of my computers are connected.
I am using DHCP Configuration. My Channel Width is set to 20 MHz and I am using Channel 11. The Security Mode is set to WPA Personal. I had it on WPA2 Personal but I read that changing to WPA Personal might work and so far it doesn't seem to have done anything. I set the Beacon Interval to 50, Fragmentation Threshold to 2304, and RTS Threshold to 2304. Everything else is set to the default factory configuration.
Just today I received a notice that said "Windows has detected an IP Address Conflict", but ever since I reinstalled the Firmware it hasn't come back. I've rebooted both my laptop and the desktop to confirm it hasn't come back as well. I've tried everything that I could think of including reconfiguring my router and restarting my modem as well.
Recently i have setup a WLAN with inside and anchor 5508 controllers. Standard setup. However, one issue I have is I wish to extend the length of time between password changes for users connected in on the guest wlan. At the moment, 30 is max. I dont have an option on the controller to creat accounts for any longer than that. How to I extend it to 90 days or 120 days?

We currently have broadband DSL (only thing available in our area with decent up/down speeds - 2/20 respectively). We have 7 development (Win 2008/2012) servers and 4 sales people that tie up bandwidth with video conferencing/movies/music/etc..We aren't running a DHCP server (the modem/router handles DHCP) or exchange (we use gmail). We essentially have the broadband modem, a cradlepoint mbr1400 router as AP, and a 24 port unmanaged switch, a few wireless printers, and of course each employee has at least one other device connected via WIFI.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe have 2 nexus 7010 switches configured with HSRP in the network. For all the vlans core1 is Master and Core2 is standby. In the current setup we have external dhcp server and dhcp relay is configured for all the vlans on Master and standby switch. The setup is running the IOS 5.2
Activity Done: During the Maintainacne activity, we isolated core1 switch in the network by disabling the vpc/keepalive and all the uplinks from access switch. The core2 switch was master for all the vlans.
Issue observed: It has been observed that new users were not getting ip address from the dhcp server. The ethereal capture showed that dhcp server was not getting the dhcp requests from the core2 switch. We disabled the dhcp feature in core2 and enabled again with dhcp relay again configured on vlan interfaces .even after doing this no change was observed in behaviour. Finally we got core1 back in network by enabling all the links.
Observation: The moment VPC link came up between the core switches, users started getting ip's from dhcp. Then we started enabling all the uplinks on core1.Core1 again become master for all the vlans and users continued getting ip’s. Network running fine.
Further Testing
1. For one of the vlan, core 2 switch has been made primary and for new users checked the dhcp functionality and it was working fine. The aim was to identify if anything wrong on core 2 related to dhcp relay
2.Again we changed the priority for this vlan and made core1 master for the same. This time we disabled this vlan on core1 and tried new user with core 2 became master and dhcp functionality worked fine for new user. Actually in this case we have simulated the same behaviour when we observed the issue with only difference of VPC was not available during the issue time as core 1 was isolated form network
Inputs needed.
Is there any known behaviour for dhcp functionality when VPC is unavailable? If we see the test scenario2 (wherein core1 was master for the vlan and we disable this vlan on core 1 and core 2 was able to relay dhcp requests for new users in this vlan.) it was actually same as scenario we observed during issue time..

Actually im having a net problem..I use Windows XP SP3 and my net connection is 2mbps.It gets connected but my browser works very slow and it often shows that 'unable to display page'Iv called the interet provider he says theres nothing wrong.It works only for like 2 mins max.Iv even disabled all the startup programs and removed all the programs which I do not use its still the same.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a server 2003 r2 machine connected on a LAN.the server is used for data storage and the local workstations use the data on mapped drives.When the server is connected to the internet ... all of the workstations on the lan partially lose the internet.When i ping google while the server is connected to the internet I get 50% to 75% loss.When I disable the LAN adapter on sevrer- alll the workstations on lan have 0% loss.When I enable lan adapter on server and configure tcpip and for primary dns i enter 1.1.1.1 ,I still get 0% loss,when I enter 8.8.8.8 for primary dns the problem persists/It kind of sounds like a virus on server causing very heavy traffic?
