Actually im having a net problem..I use Windows XP SP3 and my net connection is 2mbps.It gets connected but my browser works very slow and it often shows that 'unable to display page'Iv called the interet provider he says theres nothing wrong.It works only for like 2 mins max.Iv even disabled all the startup programs and removed all the programs which I do not use its still the same.
View 1 RepliesI have a server 2003 r2 machine connected on a LAN.the server is used for data storage and the local workstations use the data on mapped drives.When the server is connected to the internet ... all of the workstations on the lan partially lose the internet.When i ping google while the server is connected to the internet I get 50% to 75% loss.When I disable the LAN adapter on sevrer- alll the workstations on lan have 0% loss.When I enable lan adapter on server and configure tcpip and for primary dns i enter 1.1.1.1 ,I still get 0% loss,when I enter 8.8.8.8 for primary dns the problem persists/It kind of sounds like a virus on server causing very heavy traffic?

The light that shows connection to net flashes like crazy (showing ADHD *** activity), the network lights just stay stable (showing no activity).After 5-10 minutes the problem sometimes fixes itself, or, more likely, I unplug the router, wait 2 minutes, plug it back in. Sometimes it works right away, sometimes it takes a second unplug.My computer is wired to the router which connects to a modem. The modem is not mine, its installed by my ISP.

This problem with the adapter existed then also and we thought maybe it was too many computers slowing down the router.The adapter works great until I try to open certain websites. Then it loses its mind. I get a popup that says "Dial Up Connection" and wants me to choose to connect or work offline. When I click connect, I get a second window that says "Connecting through WAN Miniport", but it never actually connects to the page. Then lastly, a third popup says it has an error connecting and wants to redial and starts a countdown. But again, it never connects to the page.

I have a brand new router and modem, my ISP is cable one, and this is very annoying. When the internet goes out my modem gets stuck on the sending green light. I have a small network running in my language academy which is causing me some issues. We have a server running Win XP with two folders, one for the teachers which is password protected and the other for the students which doesn't require a password. Up until two days it has been working well. However now the server keeps disconnecting from the internet quite randomly which stops us from connecting to the shared folders.
I've noticed that a caution icon appears next to the ethernet icon in the task bar when this problems occurs on the server. I have tried to right click and choose the repair option but it tell me that it cannot resolve the ip address. In some cases rebooting the server resolves the issues but in many case it doesn't.

I have a Windows Home Server, HP Media Smart Server – EX470, that at times causes the router to lose connection, with the front panel light going from Blue (connected) to Orange (disconnected). View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a 2003 standard machine with networking issues. the nic shows that it is connected and it received the correct DHCP ip from the router but i can't ping the router or any other ip on the network.i ran a TCP/IP fix, Winstock Fix, LSP Fix, checked the services that starts up, checked the startup programs, turned the firewall off, checked in advanced settings on the nic if the correct order is there. the funny thing is that in safe mode with networking it works like a charm but not when i boot in to windows normally.If i ping the router it just shows destination host unreachable.

View 20 Replies View RelatedI've got an HP Microserver, running server 2008 R2 foundation, and I'm using it for file sharing. All files are in a single folder with subfolders, and located in drive C.
The problem is that the server limits the number of LAN connections to it to 31. I've already changed the max. number of connections to the maximum, but doesn't seem to work. Network discovery and file sharing are on, firewall is off, full access rights for everyone.
The error I get when trying to access the shared folder is: 'Microsoft Windows Network: No more connections can be made to this remote computer at this time because there are already as many connections as the computer can accept'

I have a customer who has 2 NCS servers; 1 residing at their corporate site and the other residing at their local site. They have a WLC2504 controller at the local site. They would like to connect both ncs servers to to the local WLC. Is it possible to connect 2 ncs servers to a single controller? Can WLC configuration databases on two different NCSs be the same? Some other ones connect via the linkseys wireless router. All computers are able to connect to the Internet. The problem I have is that I will be setting up a home computer as a file server connected to the Motorola router. The network acts as though it is two meaning that computers on one router can't see computers on the other router. Main server, apps, db ( 15 units) connected to core sw at 4th flr. Currently the problem is others devices can't connected to the server at core sw. Test ping and the network to core sw is intermittent problem. When ping 100 times only 30 reply. After 10 minutes the connection restored. Ping 100 times successful. It will not having problem again until the next day. This already happen 3 days. Any command for me to use to check if port or the switch having problem? Any log i can collect
We have Dell M6220 blade server that server is connected to cisco 3750 switch. I am trying to configure LACP in 3750 for two port which are connected to Dell M6220 server switch. The channel-group 2 mode active commande is not taking then its showing the error protocol mismatch and if i run show int port-channel 2 command the port channel status is showing down. The Dell server switch is on simple mode. below i have attached the required details.

Also whenever i do this once, it will randomly disconnect when im not downloading every hour or so and i will have to either disconnect / reconnect my ethernet, or if i restart my PC it will fix it for like 4-5 days if i didnt download anything at all or sometime during a download if i did download something. Also it is only my PC that does this, i can download from my laptop / xbox fine and if my PC is disconnected i still have internet from my modem / router, just not the PC. I am guessing this has something to do with my motherboard. i am using windows 7?

My setup is a Actiontec Q1000 with (QAQ002-31.20L.4) modem/router that talks to qwest. Then I connect to a linksys router WRT54G2. I connect directly to the linksys router with an ethernet cable, but my family connects to it wirelessly.
I ran a constant ping to my modem and to google, and on the random disconnect, the Actiontec Q1000 gets a huge 4000ms response time (but then it resumes normally), and I get ping timeouts to google. Windows 7 will say "no internet connection available". Not sure if it makes a difference, but I had google timeout 4 times during my constant pings.
Nobody else is connected when it does this random disconnects, so I'm not sure what's causing it. I've tried a lot of things, from changing and flushing my dns, connecting directly to the modem, turning off QoS/firewall settings, but nothing seems to work.
I have noticed that all the computers lose wifi connection at a certain time (i.e in the morning and at night).
I think it may be the router. I notice the wifi symbol on my router blinking when my macbook pro is not connected to the router after it disconnects by itself.
