View 1 Replies View RelatedI've two routers, one which i got from BSNL when opted for internet connection. Its a Utstartcom Type II wireless modem and the other which i got from a friend is Netgear WGR614 wireless modem/router.Now coming to the real picture. I've the BSNL wireless modem connected and working perfectly on the 3rd floor on one PC, but NOT configured for wireless access and i've another PC on Ground Floor where i need an internet connection. Fortunately, i got a router/modem which is Netgear WGR614. I do not want a wired connection between these two PCs then wanted to try the wireless way?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having an issue with my computer that started today. Here are the basic facts:1. Nearly every internet site I try to visit does not load. Facebook and Wikipedia work, as well as ALL Google sites (including YouTube, Gmail, Google News, etc.). Nothing else I have tried to load is loading properly. 2. It could be a coincidence, but these three sites were also my Firefox bookmarks. However, I have reset the default settings for Firefox (including bookmarks) and these three sites still work and nothing else. Additionally, these three sites load in Internet explorer, so the problem isn't specific to Firefox. 3. I don't believe it's a problem with my router/internet connection because I have another computer on the same connection that's working fine (I'm typing this message on the other computer). 4. I successfully pinged other websites using Command.5. I suspect it MIGHT be malware/virus because I have no anti-virus/anti-malware software on the computer that's having problems.

View 4 Replies View RelatedFor a few weeks now, I couldn't open any long links on Twitter. I can only open short links which can be highlighted, then right-click and "switch to 'website'". For example, I can open this link, because it's short enough to highlight the whole thing and then rightclick:It opens like that because it directly goes to that website without going through the shortened link first. When there's a long link like this one it won't open, just bring me to a page which says:"Oops, Google Chrome couldn't find t.co"This was mainly on Twitter, but now I found out that none of the shortened links like bit.ly, etc work either.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI just switched to TWC from AT&T and one of my computers running Vista, via wireless, cannot open any inet sites. The browser appears to do its DNS thing, but it sits WAITING for the site then says it can't connect. I have 3 other computers, Vista and W7, and an Xbox that connect OK. IPCONFIG shows valid IP addresses, DNS and gateway. Firewall/AV is off. It connects fine via wire. AND it connects with no security on the router. The router is a Cisco E3000. The laptop is an HP.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI boot up my computer. I close it over. come back later. open it. Computer will connect but with the small yellow triangle. Thing is though, it's only my computer that ever has issues with my internet connection. My sisters laptop has never had an issue with out internet. Yet my laptop is able to connect to the neighbors internet fine. The solution to my problem almost all of the time is to simply reboot my computer, which solves the problem(most of the time). But i'm getting so sick of having to do it. The other times when a reboot doesn't work I have to manually reset the internet. As i'm typing this I'm on my neighbors internet. my sister is connected fine to our internet but my laptop simply won't work with it so i'll have to reset it when i'm finished this Some useful information might be that this problem only started happening ever since my computer got wiped.I've tried updating the drivers but apparently they're up to date.

But, the internet is working fine, when I checked in Networks LAN was configured to connect to the internet but not the connection I regularly use. The status is "Currently connected to network". The connection I use to connect to the internet is now giving 651.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've got an Optus (in Australia, so 3G mobile broadband is all that matters I would think) that I'm trying to connect to a Netgear WGR614v9 wireless router. So the 3g mobile plugs into usb on computer; the router to the ethernet card on computer.
I know; I could buy one that has it in one package, but we're throwing the router out from work anyway. If this works my daughter will be thrilled with her iPod more is all :)
I've got the mobile broadband on, and plugged in the router and Windows 7 makes a second network connection automatically for the router, though with no internet access, and the setup wizard in the router claims to have no access to the internet. (though clearly I'm posting...lol).
We can see the Wireless signals on devices and can connect to the router but then the devices say no internet access when you actually try to access the web, like the router wizard does. and yet, we are online
i've had my netgear wireless router for about a year now.i went to facebook and i recieved a message on a red and black screen t hat said this site has been blocked by netgear fire wall. i've never changed any of my setting since i got this router so i'm not sure why all of a sudden certain sites have been blocked.. i've tried logging into my account to try to change my settings using my default username and password but it keeps saying that i dont have access.

Now is there anyway to block certian websites to this IP only?can't with laptop but can with the ipod via facebook. I thought I read someplace that you can block sites to a users static ip or mac address. I haven't been able to find it in my router settings. Im using a netgear wnr2000v3.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWireless internet isn't working. The drivers aren't installed, and it never came with a cd so the only way I can install them is if i connect to the internet which i cant. I am thinking i need to download the drivers to a disk drive and then transfer them. Another possibility is, i somehow have a rogue virus on my computer ( probably julia who ruins everything )anyways it's called pc optimizer pro. I don't have an internet so i cant get any programs, but i got hijack this and TFC malware bytes and zone alarm security already on my computer.
