I have a Belkin F5D7634-4 v2 (01) and when using bittorrent I cannot enable udp connections. In Virtual Server, both TCP and UDP are enabled - why won't it connect?
View 3 RepliesI'm trying to connect a wireless router modem (Belkin G F5D7634-4) to an already exisiting wired network in our home (Wired modem is a Scientific Atlanta EPC2100 series). The wired modem is connected to our home computer, and i want to connect the wireless modem so that i can pick it up on my xbox etc. Yet the home computer dosen't have wireless capabilities, so still requires the wired modem. I've tried, unsuccesfully to set this up, i've connected the 2 and the home computer so that the internet still works through the wired modem, an wireless signal is being put out (without internet and i'm unable to access the router's settings page) Is there any way for this to work? And if so, how would i do it. If not, what are the alternatives?

This is supported natively on my Q1000 ActionTec modem, however my modem is in "transparent bridging" mode, so that the RV042 v3 can be the only router.
how to configure the RV042 to operate in this manner.

I'm running FW 1.02.01 (23) and I'm having problems with the DNS proxy. I have DNS Proxy enabled for my DHCP server on the router and I have my dns server programmed into the global dns location. I cannot ping any DNS names for my IPSEC VPN tunnel.

It has happily supplied this to an Ethernet connected desktop, Ethernet connected Blu-ray player, and wireless connections to two seperate laptop computers. When I try to add one more Ethernet (wired) connection to the mix, I always run into problems. Although the router has 4 outgoing Ethernet ports, it doesn't like to do more than two. Should I buy a new router? Cables?

View 1 Replies View RelatedBasically i got a belkin(on a tight bufdget) wireless n modem(f548633) last week. and when i first set it up it was fine except it disconnectiong everytime ia setting was changed on it and taking ages to reconnect to it.
anyway in the last 2 days its started dropping connections to anyone using the wireless. thing is it doesn't completely disconnect it just goes down to around 5kb transfer but when trying to acces the router through IP it doesn't load unless i disconnect and reconnect. i could deal with this at first as it was once every few hours but now its happening every 5 minutes. i plan on sending it back but thought i'd have one last ditch effort at working this out. my security log shows alot of ACK sends to my IP.

I have 2 internet connections in my office one via Verizon Fios and another one via the local cable company. On the fios connection I have an RV042 VPN router and on the Cable company connection I have an rvs4000 router, I would like to know if there is a way I can connect the 2 so I can share a printer I have on one of the 2 networks from the other network without using the VPN feature, like via an ethernet cable connected between the 2 and some kind of static route maybe?

Most are connected over via wifi, the exceptions being one pc, the nas and a printer. I plan to add six more devices plus some ip cams. The way the router or network is configured whenever a guest connects to our wifi they can "see" our computers. I haven't been able to tell if they can see the files or just the name of the computer. Question 1: How can I tell if the guests are able to access the data on our computers or networked drive? Question 2: If I add a switch will I need to do anything special with regard to security?

I go into setup of the router and see where one can add info but am at a loss what to enter. I tried, merely by guessing, applied the info, and screwed up my networking. I couldn't even get into my router to revert back, cause i couldn't get on line...finally i reset manually my router and all is well again, except when i see a list of nearby network users, mine is the only one that says unsecured.
View 25 Replies View RelatedI just recieved a new RV180 yesterday and it will not connect to my switch. Router was updated to the newest firmware, reset to factory settings. I did change the ip and ip range. Router works fine with one computer attached direct. As soon as I connect my sf300-24P to it, the WAN and LAN lights all light up and then go out. Only the WAN will light back up. I have no connectivity to the router. I plug the laptop to the router directly and no LAN lights come on and can not see the router with arp -a.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have my RVS-4000 configured using static IP addresses in the LAN configuration. The users use DHCP to get their addresses (for the most part, a couple may have static IPs set on the computer). I have the maximum number of DHCP users set to 1 to restrict the ability of people to log in to the system. That one address is locked down.
The internal address of the router is set to 182.168.2.1. It doesn't conflict with anything on my network. I have 35 static IPs. About half of them are uing IP Based ACL to limit their access time but that doesn't seem to bear any relationship to what drops off.
Almost daily one or more of the users will lose their IP address and a hard reset of the router is required. The user this happens to seems random and it may be more than one but seldom all of them. The network includes Windows7 (Home & Pro), a FreeNAS, Macs (Leopard and Snow Leopard), iPad, iPods, an iPhone and an AirPort Extreme used as a WAP (DHCP is disabled). The AirPort is plugged directly into the router and has a staic ip on the RVS-4000 but is set to DHCP. It seems to be the most common problem child.
The RV215W is not responding to the https port, the VNC port 5900 is also failing to respond. VPN still works, I will go in and reboot and it will work again. It works for 1 day and fails to connect again.
Latest Firmware is already install, I don't know what else to do.

Deployed 3 of these as WAPs. No repeaters. They are spaced at least 50 feet apart over three offices, each in a server or switch room.
Across multiple laptops, and multiple WAPS, the wireless will function fine for a while with good bandwidth..then the connection will simply drop. By simply resetting the connection on the laptop or turning the wireless off then on, the connection typically returns, at least for a period of time before it drops again.
I’ve tried these configured as three separate SSIDs on identical channels, as well as one SSID for all three with different channels (preferred for a seamless wireless), and the behavior does not change either way.Based on some other threads, I tried forcing the LAN port speed to 100 mbps, but the problem persists.
We are connecting to a Cisco DPC3825 cable modem supplied by our ISP. It has been configured to act as a switch only. They have supplied us with 2 static IP addresses.
When each WAN port is connected individually, everything is fine. I see the IP addresses on the respective WAN port, and it is working fine.
When I connect both WAN ports to the modem at the same time, I see a large amount of traffic between the WAN ports, as indicated by the port LEDs, and the RV042G becomes completely non-responsive through its web interface.
How do I get the RV042G working with both WAN ports connected?
I'm trying to configure my RV 120W to allow for remote VPN connections by a few salesmen. I tried to set it up through the wizard, but the menu tells me that the Remote Information (IP or FQDN) is assnged when they client connects but I HAVE to put something in there. I tried it with my IP information and can't connect either, but I have a feeling that is my PC's issue with Windows 7 (it just sits on verifying uername and password and then locks up explorer). I don't see anything in the logs about it attempting to connect or anything from my machine- I'm going to work with another but that still doesn't work with the "unknown" IP connection setup.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWe are planning 3 Internet Connections into our building. 1 will be for actual Internet traffic, 2nd for Voip phone system, and 3rd for internal network for Active Directory...etc. Oh the AD servers are controlled by another business so technically this line is still considered and outside line and is a T1. What I need to know is how best to make this all work so that our internet phones use the VOIP system, computers can log into the domain and access that network but use the Internet network for actual internet traffic? We were considering a series of managed switches and creating 3 VLAN's but I'm thinking we instead need a new router that all 3 networks connect to and dishes out DHCP to computers and phonesn example network is below.192.168.1.x ----> Internet (all computers use for internet traffic)72.10.10.x ----> VOIP (All physical and software phones use this network)10.10.10.x -----> Connection to external company that controls our network and has domain controllers, mainframe...etc.

This didn't seem to be a problem before I took some online advice to add servers to my host file. I use iptables on a WNDR3700 router with DD-WRT firmware. In the iptable rules I've also blocked these servers. One example is cnbc7.net and a couple of U.S. Akamai servers.
View 7 Replies View RelatedVirgin media superhub was swapped for a new identical one as some users were unable to connect, but my connection was fine. When i booted my system up after it was configured by virgin I could see all connections but clicking on any "connect" button doesn't yield any form of output from the computer. Password problem? I dont get a response whenever I click "connect" on any of the other 20 wireless connections that i'm picking up, none of them being mine. When trying to add a new network from "network and sharing centre" via "set up a new connection or network" button on the mainpage or "add" button on the "manage wireless networks" tab yields the same, absolutely no reaction from the system.Now, I only add this info for science of deduction purposes, because it is truly baffling me right now, but when i first discovered the problem and went into "devices and printers" in contr panel and "add a device" my computer paused and then BSOD'd.
Things I have tried:
Updated the network card drivers Ran start up recovery - no problems detected after 20x running Logged onto the superhub through another users system and added my mac address to allowed lists, reserved i.p. address - both on and off, all combinations Pressed the wireless card button on the back of my system on and off, repeatedly Disabled/enabled network adapters in device manager Run winsock and dns flushes, ip release and renewals (e.g. things like "netsh int ip reset; netsh winsock reset; ipconfig release;renew)
Each and every troubleshooter All the usual power issues, from setting maximum performance on the network card to unplugging and socketing the router main repeatedly Administrative tools-services-dhcp client-start&auto Tcp/IP protocols-ip and dns configured automatically?
*Haven't tried (last resorts)* Reinstall windows Remove, inspect and possibly replace or just refit network card and factory reset
Give Richard Branson a slap Observations/Details Everyone, EVERYONE else can connect to the network, no problem I have full strength signal to the connection I know the password and it certainly hasnt changed All we did was swap identical routers! Logged into my other windows on a partition (original user account, messy so partitioned and made a clean install, but this was long ago and no network issues ever existed) and have the old exclamation mark over signal bars - troubleshooting it causes nothing, but at least the adding network functions yields results and it says im technically connected to the router - ive tried all noted fixes above on this windows install also.

Had laptop connecting wirelessly perfect with no problems. We then added another laptop and PSP 3 to the house hold. Any of the 3 devices will connect to the internet via wireless but ONLY one at a time. If you are connected with one and turn on one of the others it will kick the one off that you were on and only 1 device can use wireless at a time?

[code]I have managed to connect to router from my home with ShrewVPN and I can ping every client connected to RV220w.The problem is that I can't connect to neither to router's web interface nor to NAS web interface or any other intranet web page ( the browser doesn't give any error, but keeps loading without showing the web page). Although, I can access web pages from my laptop.Also, in windows file explorer when I connect to NAS, although I can browse folders I can't copy files from my laptop to NAS and vice versa, I always get timeout error (I have checked the permissions to NAS and in addition I succeed to copy a small txt file 1kb, but no luck with bigger files).I also tried with QuickVPN client, but I had the same results. When I connect with pptp from windows everything works like a charm.My laptop has windows 7 64bit.

View 1 Replies View RelatedRV082 - 1.3.2 I need to have RDP and pcAnywhere enabled to a customer site for remote support, but need to limit the incoming IP ranges to only our offices. I have the port forwarding set up and tested working. I then set up rules to deny all traffic on the needed ports and added rules to allow a few IP ranges from our office locations. I even tried a rule allowing all traffic from our main office but that also failed to allow RDP or pcAnywere connections.Now I can no longer connect from any of our remote offices. I followed the limited instructions that I found in another post but its not working.
