I want to change ping latency because my application cannot run in 1ms or 35ms it will work on 600ms to 1500ms due to in VSAT minimum response time latency is 600ms to 1500ms.for i want to change in my 2003 server reponse letancy time.and we are use online accounting software and connecting through ftp server.kindly do the need full how to change response time frame in windows
I have the following LAN setup: I am trying to ping the Wireless Access point (10.60.1.1) from the Cisco Router (172.16.88.21) but I am not getting responces. I can however ping 10.60.1.1 from server (172.16.88.36). Tracert from the server shows that it is going through the Rotuer and Firewall.
A network administrator wants to capture some network data. He opens Wireshark software, start capturing, and does the following:In PC-A, runs a command in command prompt. The network admin issues the command and sees there is ping response from the google.
I connects to the wireless box and has full signal but an exclamation mark is present.I have run some tests and the IPv4 and IPv6 say they have no internet access.I also run a full test and everything passed except the ping test which failed and it said: no response:default gateway response: dhcp server it suggested disabling security firewall but i'm not sure if that's the correct thing to do or even how to do that!
I've updated latest firmware & installed 5 pieces of WRT54GH at our building. Then I noticed each of them disappear from wireless connections list and IP scan list (no ping response). If they might not response to pings but they serve as switch without any problem, I mean there are no wired connection problems, they work as switch all the time. The problems are -again-
1-) Wireless lost and / or 2-) Ping response lost
Turning them off and on again will fix them. But I'm tired of bosses who complain about their faulty pc connectivity.
Don't they run 7/24? I tried to restart them on every 12 hours programmatically/remotely but it couldn't work.
I have a brand-new WRT160N router (just installed FW v3.0.02) that I am using in mixed mode, 20MHz only, Channel 11, not filtering anonymous requests, beacon at 2306, RTS at 2307, fragmentation at 2346, MTU at 1400.
These settings bring the response from a simple ping command over the wireless network down to approximately 6ms on average, which is good. However, when I still noticed inconsistency with my internet response over wireless, I decided to do a test.
By simply running the "ping" command on 192.168.1.1 (the router address) over the wireless network repeatedly (approx 3 seconds between commands), I can see that approximately every 65 seconds or so, router response time increases to over 100ms for a few seconds, then decreases down to 6 ms or so for another 65-70 seconds. See the chart below. The interval looks pretty consistent to me, with the exception of one stretch where it goes for over two minutes without a spike. I see this pattern regardless of what else I'm doing over the network. I do not see this behavior running the same test when physically wired to the router (ping response time is a flat line at 0ms).
I need to remotely monitor a WRT45G from a remote host on the Internet. As such, I want to allow ICMP ping replies on the public Internet interface. However, I have found no feature to allow me to do this. Similar Netgear devices do allow this feature. I suspect the answer is, "you can't do that".
Each time I'm rebooting my E3200 device my ping to my ISP is 20ms. Few hours later the ping goes up to 300-500ms.Than I reboot again and the ping is going down to 20ms again.
I'm trying to configure an ASA firewall (FW2) for syslog and tacacs and am experiencing strange behavior. Both the syslog and ACS server are on the inside of another firewall (CoreFW). Whenever a log message is generated on FW2 the request is dropped by CoreFW and message '%ASA-4-313004: Denied ICMP type=0, from laddr FW2 on interface outside-b2b to syslog01: no matching session' is displayed. The same thing occurs for tacacs.
It appears that the syslog and ACS requests are generating ICMP echo replies, which the core firewall drops since no session exists on a lower security interface. I have access lists configured on CoreFW to allow the syslog and tacacs requests.
FW2 is running asa825-k8.bin, CoreFW is asa824-k8.bin
We have Four 2960S Switches in Stack. We have created Multiple VLANs. While Pinging from Member PC to Member VLAN IP on Switch, we are getting Higher TTL response & Some ping breaks for One Particular VLAN. While pinging from Member PC to Member PC, we are getting Normal Ping Response.
We got a switch issue here for 4507R-E with two sup6l-e supervisor running sso redudant. and we found that sometimes client can't ping through the local vlan ip add on the switch , can't logon the cli by telnet too. In the direct connected network device such as access switch and ASA , can't ping or telnet the 4507R too. when we made a forceswitch to sso standby supervisor from console , the problem solve and everything get fine . after that, we switch angin back to the origin supervisor , fine too.
before we made the supervisor forceswitch , we had check the system cpu usage is 15 - 20 % from console . also we had creat a new vlan 200, attach the notebook to 4507's vlan 200 port , the notebook can't ping or telnet the vlan 200 ip interface too.
I have three router belkin basic n150 and two router are connected to one router and gateware is first router 192.168.2.1 and also change ip address of two router 192.168.3.1,192.168.4.1 and internet is working but my problem is if i ping the two router ip address 192.168.3.1,192.168.4.1 is not pinging . How i ping the second router
I play a game called Unreal tournament 2k4 in online. I am from Bangladesh a small country from south asia. I used to get 150 ping in a Japanese server. But 2 weeks ago my ping suddenly rise. Now its around 268-320 in same server. But i have 160 ping in another Japanese server. So i used trace-route option from avast IS to check the route of my connection.I found out that the server i am having high ping connects through Italy then to Japanese server. But the server i have low ping goes to Singapore then to Japan. My question is can i change the route of my connection so my first server doesn't take the route of Italy?
I have windows xp on sony laptop. I use dial-up, cricket broadband and wifi. When on wifi I can surf. I cant cannot get off the homepage nor change it when I connect to my cricket broadband. I was able to go onto the internet with no problem. I've been searching forums trying to solve my problem but to no avail. I have Windows XP installed, I can connect to the LAN network but I cannot go online. I can ping the gateway but not the DNS as well as other address name or ip address. This is the output of ipconfig /all:
Description : Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC Dhcp Enabled : Yes Autoconfiguration enabled: Yes IP address: 192.168.1.145 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway : 192.168.1.1 DHCP Server : 192.168.1.1 DNS Servers : 202.160.8.2 202.160.6.20P.s: All the other computers in the LAN can connect to the internet.
I have recently changed my Router to a Draytek Vigor 2830N from the standard O2 broadband router. When I swap them out I get no internet access via the main PC that is connected via ethernet. However I can access internet via WLAN on any other device. here are the ipconfig details for before and after swap (same)
I have not changed ISPs.Yes, I have contacted my ISP about the matter, but, as expected, to no avail. No, I am not using a new modem. To my knowledge, I have made no network related changes whatsoever since the problem arose. This will certainly raise the question "Why do you need to change your IP, anyway?" Well, to be perfectly honest, the game site that I frequent has a newly implemented hacking detection system that temporarily bans a user from entering all game rooms if it detects any suspicious activity on the user's part. This system is quite fallible and hence results in many unwarranted bans daily. In the event that I am unlucky enough to fall victim to the ban hammer, I simply change my IP and continue playing.
unable to access or ping google.com on WinXP - have two computer side by side. only having the problem on one of them. Have replaced the network card, did have malware but cleaned it up with malwarebytes.
We are trying to isolate the fault. From Aggregator a router, we are receiving MAC address of distant end ethernet interface of a SDH box and vice versa is also possible. However ther is no packet received. My question is does ping test is must to see if the path is through or just receiving MAC adress at both ends would mean that packets have to go over the path.
I am using Linksys wirelless G router, will my wired speed on desktop increase when I change to a wirelless N router for laptop and ethernet for wired desk top? I don't need anymore wireless speed but am wondering if I upgrade will my wired desktop pick up more speed.
I use Comcast, and am trying to set up an FTP server that I can access from outside my home network. I need the external IP address for that to work, and I have gotten this IP address from IPChicken. I can ping it from the internal network just fine, but when I'm connected to a different network (I've tried two), I get no response, using both the IP address and the associated host name. Of course, I also cannot log into FTP.
I spoke with Comcast support, and their advice was to enable MAC filtering and add the external IP address to it..
Half of the time i have to stay at hotel due to business trip. The hotel i stay will provide free internet broadband with cable but no WIFI. Can i set up WIFI if i have router?
We purchased 4 AP1232AG access points, intending to use 1 as a router and the other 3 as repeaters. We've spent the past week running power to the repeater locations, installing poles and NEMA boxes, lightning arrestors and 12db antennas. That part went very smoothly.
Now I'm trying to access the APs for the first time and get no response. Cisco states that all the units are set to 10.0.0.1 and that I need to use a console cable from my com port to the console port of the AP. Did that. It also states to use a telnet session to assign an IP, using the setup recommended.
The APs will not respond whether I try a telent, serial or web session. The router center light on all the units is blinking green, which according to Cisco means they are set to the factory 10.0.0.1 and that the radios are disabled. Since it's occurring with all of the routers, I've definitely realized that the problem is operator error. I don't have enough experience to determine where my mistake is being made. I used Indigo to try and reach the routers and the Cisco IPSU as well with no success. I've even tried pinging the router's IP and get no response.
I feel certain that I'm simply overlooking some fundamental and basic task to reach the routers to configure them, but I've been to every technical document on the Cisco site regarding the access and configuration of these routers. I simply can't see my error and it seems like the more I read the bulletins, the less clear it becomes. I'm now stuck.
My WLC 4400 have run the os 4.2.207.54, my ap type is AP1020.And client user authentication by web-auth.Sometimes my user complain cannot login web authentication, because he connot open the web login page. And I try to monitor the WLC by SNMP, I see the http no response.
We have an ASA5510 and I am getting absolutely no response from the console port. Not even a blip when I turn it on. If I leave the compact flash in the internal bay, I get Green Power, Amber Status, Amber Active and Green VPN when I start it up. The Flash LED flashes Green twice then goes out. If I move the compact flash to the external bay, all of the other lights remain the same as described above but the Flash LED goes to steady Green. How ever, there is still no response whatsoever from the console port. Have replaced the DIMM but that had no effect. This is a four (4) slot ASA5510 and I have just the one DIMM in slot P13 as described on a post I found. The power supply fan comes on as well as the two (2) fans that cool the heatsink. The other two (2) fans on the expansion module side do not come on.
I have ZyXEL PLA4201KIT Mini Powerline Ethernet Adapter Starter Kit Up to 500Mbps to connect my desktop to the internet and recently i've been getting random moments where i lose internet connection so everything stops working. I have to either restart my comp or take out the ethernet cord and put it back in. my router is next to our tv and i read somewhere that having it next to a big appliance will suck all the power for itself.
Buying a TP-Link W8961ND modem/router. Didn't work at all, except for a vague sense I got that the internet wasn't spending as long 'down' as previously when it did drop. And now today my housemate and I are both connected and suffering these intermittent drops, which become more and more frequent, until finally the internet cuts out and won't return. Now I cannot get the TP-Link router to connect to the internet at all. However, switching back over to the original D-Link router now the internet DOES work, but still only intermittently. As I've been writing this it's dropped out for a couple of moments twice!
I'm using a cable connection with my router and most of the time I'm playing FIFA12 on PS3 i feel like the commands takes a second to respond, like if was a delay. I tried most of everything in firewall settings, port foward, internet settings...
