Mar 3, 2013I have a lot microbursts in my network and i looking 10G switches with big buffers. Which models have biggest buffers ? I think about 1-2U (nax 4U) switch with up to 60-100 10G ports. Something like nexus 3064 (he has only 9MB shared buffers AFAIK). Besides deep buffers i need also:
- trill or another ethernet ring topology like erps,eapsv2,
- Multi chassis LAG,
- virtual routers, policy routing
- dcb
- 40G interfaces will be plus
Videos Buffers At School But Not At Home
Sep 6, 2012i have my laptop which i use at school okay and when i try and watch youtube videos at school it works fine but as soon as i try and watch them at home it just buffers and buffers and never loads, its definitely not the internet connection as my dad/mum/brother/ps3 can all watch youtube videos, and i dont know why this is happening.

Jun 12, 2012I've been having some problems with my Ethernet connection lately.The problem started early last week. I'm currently relocating, so I unplugged my laptop from the Ethernet connection I had at my old place.At two different locales, I have tried to use an Ethernet connection in order to get better speed (the wireless at the first locale was non-existent and at the second it is extremely slow in my room). I have done so with two separate cables that I have tested on others' computers and found that they are perfectly fine. That, of course, leads me to believe that it is my computer and is either a hardware or software problem (here's hoping it's the latter).Anyway, my laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1720 (purchased in 2006). About a year ago, I updated to Windows 7 from the pre-installed Vista. Never had any problems (as I said, everything was fine up until about a week ago). The installed card is a Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller. Everything under Device Manager indicates that the hardware is working properly and has all of its drivers installed, but nothing is working.I have tried to uninstall and re-install the drivers (albeit by allowing windows to find them automatically), but the result is the exact same.I have checked the port and found that there is no debris or obstructions. My computer hasn't been dropped or mishandled in any way.

Aug 8, 2012I am having a problem with my Realtek RTL8168D/8111D PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC. It is not detecting my ethernet cable, and thus leaving me without internet on my desktop, after i updated its driver. The cable is not the problem as I have tested the cable with my laptop. I tried rolling back drivers, doing system restore and removing drivers with driversweeper and letting windows install the drivers again. However, none of these worked for me. I doubt the NIC is faulty as it was working before i updated the drivers. I am using windows 7 home premium 64-bit.

I was considering adjusting the routed interface to use Ethernet sub-interfaces. Each VRF would be given a different subinterface over the Metro Ethernet connection. I have done this on internal LAN connections but am concerned about exteding across data centers over Metro E.

Jul 29, 2011My daughter is 10,000 miles from home taking classes in South Africa and her laptop is having issues! She can connect fine via wifi at the local internet cafe and it works just fine....but from her flat she has to connect wifi first then sign into broadband. She can get the wifi connection but her modem just sits there saying dialing and never gets anywhereWe have tried updating the modem driver to no avail, there is no static IP set up in her network connections, modem status says its ok.
